I use the Temple as a pattern. The outer court, is where atonement for sin takes place." Forgive me for...." The basin for washing it there and the altar. While Im here, I am usually crying and snotting and in a state of true repentance. Still aware of my surroundings, time and noises. If I stay a little longer, before I know it, I am in a posture of praise. This is the "INNER" court where the altar of incense is, the show bread and the lamp stand that gives light. I am still aware of time and surroundings but filled with awe and praise. Then, if I stay a little longer, suddenly, everything becomes silent or that Im just not aware of anything going on around me. Only the voice of God. like deep speaking unto deep. This is the HOLY OF HOLIES. Where the Mercy seat is upon the Ark of His presence. And it has no light because He is The Light. It is here that I am transformed by a Holy God. Like Moses's countenance changed such that The Israelites begged him to veil his face lest they see the Glory of God and die. It is here, that I sit at the Kings Table and receive Manna. The anointed word. I know this because It is a living word being preached ( if The Pastor is on his face and seated at the Kings Table too.) Each time God brings me into the Holy Of Holies, my getting there takes less time. I have hit my knees and found myself immediately in His presence. This format has helped me in slowing myself down and waiting on God to meet me. No relationship can be intimate without communication. And most of us live on a one way street. Sorry, Not sorry, that this comment went long.
So incredibly helpful and needed. When we think we don't need ANOTHER series on prayer ....is exactly when we do need it. Thank you, Ben, for listening to God and doing His work.
I have known this pattern a long time ago but as I listened to the sermon it gives me a lot of insights that I have never known before. Thank you.
Exactly what I needed to hear today!
Absolutely love your sermons Ps Ben.
I love it so much thank you ❤
