I decided to build a new base using place number 5, in the arctic biome. Like you said, the view is awesome and no polar bear! But I find out something. It is a very good place for solar panels. The sun gets out relatively early from behind the mountains but it takes longer to set because of the "opening" to the polar biome. So you have sunlight for a longer period of time. Put your solar panels on a high enough tower and you can add even a bit more time.
Those are some great base locations, IG! My current base is in I2, on the higher flat area next to the water/pond, near the cave that goes back to the swamp area.
im glad you enjoyed the videos! and for the voice, its not mine. i use AI voice to expedite videos. I can skip editing voice overs by using AI so i can make more content. I used a headset microphone so the volume was low, so i started using AI voice overs.
I build my base in G7, center top. There are 2 huge stone pillars and I build my base on top of one. I am not good at building good looking base but it is fonctionnal. I had to install an animal deterent, too many Kea spawning inside my base.
@@Infinity.Gaming2023 Yep! that's the pillar alright. And that "weather station" look amazing! Knowing me, I would put(need) more railings. 🤣 And like I said, mine is a two story rectengular block. Not pretty but efficient. To climb up there I build a concrete tower with ladders. don't know if it's faster than with stairs. Again very nice build!

the location near the sulfur pools seems like a nice one for a forward base.
