After almost 45 years living in South Florida I took advantage of the snowbirds buying up houses, sold my house and moved to West Virginia last October. It's been almost a year now and it was the best decision I've ever made in my life.
@@DavidWvu I haven't been this happy to live in a place since I was a child. Life isn't easy here and I knew that before I came but I wouldn't want to be anywhere else and it took me a lifetime to get here.
I’m a Georgia fan. I have no connection to West Virginia whatsoever. Going to Morgantown to sing Country Roads with the crowd is high on my college football bucket list.
This is sooo cool. Is kind of when you go to a University Of Alabama home game, and the whole stadium sings "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Or, if you go to a USC home game, the band plays "Tusk" by Fleetwood Mac. Nothing better than the college atmosphere at football games!!
As "Rocky Top" is sung by tens of thousands at Tennessee, I love it that "Country Road" is sung by the fans at West Virginia. That is why I prefer college football.
Born and raised about 10 minutes from here. Im a big Liverpool fan and dream of going to an Anfield game. The passion from the fans is so similar. Great atmospheres.
How many football stadiums, or any sports stadium for that matter, are this full 15-20 minutes after their team won! That's what I love about going to games here. Let's Goooooooo!!
I am an Alabama fan, and I have always loved West Virginia. Maybe because they are similar, in certain ways. We sing Dixieland delight, they sing country roads. And I really want to be a part of that. I'll even wear a West Virginia shirt. I'd love to be around WVU fans, and singing this. The only time I don't go for them, is if they were to play Alabama.
I get goosebumps whenever I hear this. I imagine an American GI returning home from fighting in a war, far and away on the other side of the planet hearing this, and feeling like this is the most beautiful song in the world. Sentimental yes, but it’s a profound feeling.
As an Alabama fan, I would really love to put on a WVU shirt, go to a game, and sing this along with the fans. I don't know why, but I just love WVU. Always have.
Why i love collegefb...Rocky Top...dotting of the i at OhioSt...UT/OU at cotton bowl state fair...the childrens hosp at Iowa...jump around at Madison WI...may these last forever...
Tell me again how all of America is divided and racist. This is the REAL Diversity of America. It's beautiful. Music brings us all together. It's time for the young'uns to sit down and pay attention. It's a big ol' world out here and it doesn't fit what you were told in your cocoon at College. I see all races rockin' to this classic. And it's a beautiful thing. God Bless America!
As german i have nerver felt so american, such a beautiful country...😭 goosebumps.. Our cohesion was so destroyed after the Second World War, that we hardly have anything like it anymore...
Living here in North Carolina there are hard working West Virginians everywhere you go. Just buy a tank of gas , hop on I-77 south and you will arrive in the Tar Heel state. Most can find a job in one day and they have quickly settled in for a new life. Looking ahead I really think West Virginia has a chance to make a comeback. All of the electric cars will need energy and nothing creates electricity like coal. It won't be a manual labor intensive resurgence but expect automation to lead the way.
I’m crying. And I’m 68 years young. Thank you, WV.
GOOD song to cry by....eh?

Only so much time before Democrats demand this song be banned for being racist.
I've been part of this tradition several times. It's always an amazing feeling.
I’m a Penn State alum and love the atmosphere at our stadium, but this is just fantastic. Super jealous but good on y’all embracing your song.
I’m a Texas fan, and no one can ever convince me that an NFL game has a better atmosphere than an NCAA game.

As a Michigan fan, this is fantastic. Jealous of having such a perfect in every way song to sing at the stadium.
Michigan has "Mr. Brightside" for some reason.
You guys should sing a Bob Seger song
I'm a Michigan fan too but this is just something else..I think mr Brightside resembles destiny but country roads hits different here.
