Played them all. Owned all but Mystery Date, Masterpiece, Simon, and Perfection. Still own Payday, Boggle, and Connect four!!! Keep up the great vids!!!
The best board game I ever played was DUNE, based on the movie. Up to four players, you collected cards like laser guns and swords and moved around on a board with dice. I also have fond memories of Fireball Island, Hero Quest, and Dragon Strike.
We had the (not so pocket) Pocket Simon in the 80's a smaller version of the original Simon with the same colors but the sounds were a higher tone. We also still have Boggle too! A few other word game that came out around that time that we had were: Razzle and UpWords
Growing up in the 80's my favorite board games were Risk, Clue, Battleship, Monopoly, and a small budget game like Monopoly but everyone owns farm/ranch land. I don't remember what it was called. I am glad a lot of people are getting into board games again.
If you can find it, check out a board game called DUNE, based on the movie. Best one I ever played. Also have fond memories of Fireball Island and Hero Quest.
"Careers" was a favorite in our house, along with Risk and Axis and Allies. Later on we had Dark Tower, which I still wish I had, because that game sells for quite a bit these days. It was pretty rare
We had an original Simon game in the late 70s and years later I found a mini keychain version of it that worked! I also had Payday and Perfection which I played often. The latter I got really good at using it in my own and I'm sure if I played it again I would recall which piece was always the hardest to fit in! Haha!
Okay, did anyone else catch this with the Boggle? ETSY, SOLD, GREAT, BEY. Seems quite a bit ahead of its time to me. Just saying, it's like predictive programming.
simon wasnt that hard. the programming was done in binary so if you knew how to speak binary, you could kill it. each color represented a 1, 2, 4, 8. simon would start a count from 1 and light the lights in their binary equivalent. if you were a nerd back then and knew binary you could beat this game. the highest score you could get to was 32, i know i tried it and i was a binary nerd, the very last pattern was to hit the 8 indicator 32 times, after that there were no more patterns. it was a simple game but most people never made it past binary 16
I directly link my anxiety to Perfection! 😂😂
Lol I can still hear that timer 😂

This is what kids these days are really missing out on.
I remember seeing TV commercials for most of these games, but I never played any of them.

Check out DUNE the board game. What the heck is going on with my comments?

Just found your channel through UA-cam recommendations. Such a cool video, and these games sound like fun to play!

I don’t remember any of these things. But then I wasn’t a kid in the 80s. 😮

Your title is completely wrong, since most of the games you list aren't board games.
Thanks for the heads up.
