When I was 9, my mother introduced me to this anime. Basically one of my very first anime movie I ever watched!

We have great music today, but when did they stop making cool stuff like Vampire Hunter D and Fist of the North Star?
Now all I seem to see is stuff set in high schools and being sucked into videos games. Goblin Slayer was the closest thing recently, but that didn't have the same visceral punch as those old school ones like Berserk.
Any suggestions?
Are any artists still making anime stuff like the 80's and 90's classics?
The first thing I say when my gf wants to watch anime is "no fucking stupid teen high school crap" so I'm with you on that.
This was back when anime was still considered an art form. Now, it's corporate driven and there are whole generations of new animators in Japan who wont take risks. They just do what the company tells them to do.
If you want to read some really cool modern manga, then read Dorohedoro and Dai Dark by Q Hayashida
Especially Dorohedoro got great action, fantastic character and worldbuilding, lots of gore and inspirations by horror movies while at the same time having good humor too
Its very unique and not afraid to have a cast full of completely different looking people who are all kinda fucked up, check it out if you have the time, you wont regret it!
Just google "Dorohedoro panels" and tell me that doesn't look rad as hell
@@cheesedtomeetyou8007 while I agree Dorohedoro is cool, and I do recommend others to check it out, it simply just isn't the same as old school anime. They really just don't make them how they used to. Which is a damn shame.

Just so you know, your 'Cyberpunk' labelling highly deters me from either wanting to watch these releases on your channel or sharing them on social media. Cyberpunk isn't a genre, as I've said before. And it's extremely corny.. But good luck with whatever you're doing..
