Courtney I LOVE how honest you are about Laifen wanting you to test this blowdryer. I am about to film the same test today too! This was super well done. I loved the video and it helped me get inspired for my review.
Hold the temp button on the Laifen 3 sec, it will switch between temp automatically to also help reduce frizz.
Recovering from a broken elbow (radial neck fx), so the idea of a much lighter hairdryer is super huge! Also, the packing space for travel is a HUGE reason for change as well. The Laifen seems to be the GEM right now that DOESN'T have a ridiculous price tag!!! Thank you Laifen!!
I’m also recovering from major shoulder surgery so this is a big factor for me as well. No way can I afford a Dyson 😩 Here is to a fast recovery! I’m about 5 months in & still only have minimal upper arm shoulder range, long recovery process 😢

I just ordered a bunch of products to start my curly girl journey based on your recommendations. I'm a little worried about the time it will take compared to my current extremely minimal routine, so the faster drying time would definitely help me stick it out and not give up! Love your channel!
Love the colors of the laifen. Faster dry time would mean I would actually have time to dry my hair! Having 2 littles doesn't leave much time for extras like hair drying! Love your videos and tips/tricks I'm learning and realizing the potential of my hair being curly/wavy!

I have SUPER long hair so cutting down my 45-60 min dry time would be a game changer. I only get a chance to do my hair once a week right now since I work weird hours and I only have time to actually do my hair curly on the weekends. My extra time would be spent painting as I've recently gotten into watercolors.

Hey, Girl! if i won thid leifin hair dryer it would change my world. My hair is super long - nearly to my knees. I work an hour from home (at a dog kennel/grooming/foster/rescue/day care). i have to get up so early to get ready for my day. The massive amount of time I'd save every single morning using the Leifin versus my regular run of the mill dryer is priceless. If i find that it is as awesome as it seems; i would definitely talk to my boss about buying some for grooming the dogs. After all; time is money! Itd absolutely make my day - every day! Seriously considering ordering this dryer...I am a hairstylist and my Dyson recently bit the dust. Have been trying multiple other dryers but so far none have even compared to my beloved Dyson. I am intrigued with this dryer because ofcthe reviews and great price point!

The Dyson is overheating when using the diffuser because you are using max heat.
Laifen highest temp is dyson mid heat. Try the mid heat on Dyson and it will not overheat.
If Dyson is overheating at any heat or speed then it's a failure of a device imo. When you spend $400 on a dryer it needs to work with it's own attachments.

Loved this comparison video! We would actually have time to diffuse with the dryer that dries faster rather than just air dry on the run! Appreciate the introduction to an option/brand that we weren’t familiar with!
Love that this looks like a comprable option to the dyson but for a much more affordable price. The faster dry time would mean I wouldn’t be waiting as long as possible between wash days and then being up super late mid-week to fully dry my hair because it takes forever to dry. Though to be fair, part of the super long drying time might be due to the fact that I also need to replace my 10 year old hair dryer. Love your content!

If I could diffuse faster with the Laifen I would use the extra time to relax and not be so rushed in the morning. My son is starting school in a couple weeks and I'm heading back to grad school in a few weeks so I could definitely use more time to get ready for the day. Thanks for the great comparison video!
I would spend my saved time by packaging up all of my other hair dryers I have purchased. I have never owned a Dyson but I love how compact this Laifen Swift is even with the diffuser. All of my other dryers are the 'traditional' shape. Would love to donate all my dryers and diffusers to other curly/wavy people in need!!

I live in Iceland and it’s always windy, freezing or both. Having a hairdryer with quicker drying time would make my wash days quicker and easier. I would use the extra time to read or staying outside in the snow without my hair freezing

Since I shower in the mornings before work, I can sleep in a little longer! I work in a SpED class at an elementary school and I need a lot of sleep in order to be well rested so that I can keep up with the Littles (K-3).

I would actually start diffusing. My current hair dryer doesn't have any heat options, so drying it just makes it super frizzy.

I've been wanting to get a higher end dryer but couldn't justify the price of the Dyson. I would be interested in a comparison of Laifen and the Shark one. I've just been using a curl cream/leave in and air drying my hair lately because of how long it takes to style with more products and diffusing so with the short dry time I'd actually have motivation to do it! 😂

My hair is hip length so if I could dry faster....I'd actually diffuse more! I mostly air dry cause it takes 45-60 minutes to get to mostly dry with my dryer. Thanks for the comparison, Courtney!

I would absolutely love to get one! Honestly without a hairdryer my hair takes around 5 hours to air dry 😂 But drying it with a diffuser takes me about 40 minutes. Having laifen it’d make 50 minutes of my free time each week and I’d rather spend them on training my reactive rescue dog.
By the way I absolutely love watching all of your comparisons! They’re always done so accurate as if it’s a scientific research 👍🏻 I can see you trying your best to minimize all the other factors that could affect the results and the actual measuring tools here 😍 so much work is being put to this!

I love this comparison! I am looking for a lighter weight dryer that I can also use for travel. My hair dries pretty fast, but any time savings in styling is appreciated.

Love your videos. You are the reason I am trying to wear my hair wavy instead of flat ironing it every day. I am so inpatient for my hair to dry so it would be nice to have a hair dryer that dries my hair quickly so I can do my hair of a morning and not at night, and not be wearing it up all the time because I don't have time the next morning to refresh my waves.
Courtney, I hope you reply! I am brand new to cg after discovering waves and have watched you a ton. I love all your info, thank you. I'd like to invest in a dryer & diffuser. I have tried finding your comparison videos but hard to track down. How would you vote between CURLSMITH and LAIFEN? Seems they are comparable with performance, drying times, and price. Laifen seems great for being quiet as well as small/lightweight therefore more travel friendly (don't have to purchase additional travel size tools), while not sacrificing dry time, performance, and the all important diffuser. My questions/concerns are 1) no cool shot button what?! Is it definitely not too hot? and 2) can the ion feature be turned off? I have fine wavy curly hair and read the ionic feature creates more sleekness which would flatten(kill) the curls. The CURLSMITH however was designed for curlies and that diffuser seems bomb. Thank you for your input since you've used them both plus others!

I’ve seen other people comment that they would love the to see the Laifen compared to the Shark. I second that.
My CHI hairdryer is on its last legs and I was considering getting a Dyson. But, the reviews on it are horrible with most of the comments talking about them failing right after the two year warranty is up. The Laifen could be a really good option! Just wish it had a cool shot button.
I just got my first professional wavy cut, just like you suggested in one of your videos!! You said the cut makes a huge difference and it did...wow...To have a faster hairdryer would be amazing for when I go back to school (I work in Education and I'm off for the Summer). I have a bit of a drive to work and have to get up early. With that dryer I could spend more time sleeping and less time diffusing...LOL Sending blessings from Canada!!
I have had the same Remington blow dryer for YEARS and have been thinking about getting a different dryer. It takes me a good 20+ minutes to dry my hair currently. Which means I don’t actually fix my hair during the week. Cutting that time down would allow me to fix my hair more often… without being late to work.
Oh goodness.. so I am ALWAYS late to rehearsals and work, whether it be church or theater. My hair is the one thing that I force myself to take time on, but it usually causes me to ruffle some feathers with my superiors. That dryer would be a life saver for someone like me who always has some kind of event or performance to be at!
Faster drying time means more time to read. My current dryer is acting up, so it was great to hear about this option.
Great video! I'm looking for a new hair dryer and the Laifen looks promising. With less time spent drying my hair I could start going to bed at a decent time-I wash and style my hair at night, pineapple and ready to go in the morning.

If I were given the opportunity to have extra time in the morning because of less drying time I would finally not be cooking in my bathroom for so very long. I live in Florida, so taking a shower then having to blow dry my hair for so long I am beyond thrilled to get out of the bathroom as you can feel like you are going to have a heat stroke. So less time would be absolutely phenomenal!

I’ve never had a good hairdryer! I’m new to diffusing my hair and it takes forever. Honestly, with the time I’d save I’d probably use it to learn more about taking care of my wavy hair and getting it healthy. Recently turned 50 & I tell you, my hair was straight as a board until about 5 years ago 🤣

Definitely nothing there
I use 3 air speeds! High speed for hovering the first 5 minutes or so. Then I use the medium air speed for most of my drying, the pixie diffusing pushing up at the roots, since I wash at night and then sleep in the cast, in the morning when I take my hair out of my scarf, I like to scrunch a bit of oil through my hair a tiny Spritz of hairspray and then I quickly hit my whole head with the dryer on low heat low speed just a few seconds per section and then to really push up at the roots for root curl and root lift.
I would use my extra time to cook and just relax! I need some extra relaxation time! Thanks for reviewing these! 🤗

Gotta love fine (and frizzy) front/top layer and a fine, yet thicker, layer under/along the nape.

Love that the Laifen dries faster then Dyson, which is why I bought the Dyson. I have long thick coarse hair and it takes FOREVER to dry even with a diffuser, like we are talking 2 hours!!
How does the Laifen compare to the Shark?
This dryer would be amazing, I've never actually difused my hair all the way. My dryer takes over an hour and I've never had the patience to diffuse to even somewhat dry

I need to replace my Xtava hair dryer because it has started running way too hot. I love that it takes less time since I wash my hair everyday. It takes time but I don't like the way my hair looks after a refresh (I think I must sleep on my head). It's a tedious task so I could really use the extra time to let my hair air dry longer. Not to mention my bathroom is blue. 🙂

This was so helpful! I would love to be entered to win the Laifen. I'm currently looking to get a new hair dryer since the one I have is heavy, all the heat settings now only blow hot air and it takes forEva to dry my hair! So what would I do with all that extra time if I had a Laifen? I would be able to spend more time taking care of myself and my family. I'm still in the transition phase with my hair so sometimes I find it takes me two hours to do my hair. Which is just crazy! If I could cut that down by any amount of time that would be a huge deal🙏

If I had a speedy dryer like this I would actually be able to blowdry my hair! The dryer I have now is a wicked old Conair that blows the fuse after just a few minutes, so I have given up and just air dry. I wash at night and have to go to bed with wet hair or stay up late. With this dryer I could go to bed earlier!
Hi Courtney, If I won the hair dryer, I would use the saved time for some R&R (perhaps an at home spa treatment or to pay more attention caring for my fingernails, which are so neglected 😋
If I had the light, lovely, lickety-split Laifen I think I could get it done pain-free. You see, I never diffuse till I'm 100% dry because it takes forever with my huge dryer and my arthritic thumbs can't hold that massive thing that long. And if I could start my day that way, I'd be able to get to my classroom a bit earlier each morning with bouncy waves instead of half dry ramen noodles 😩
It would be a small miracle for my hair to dry more quickly! I had a Dyson and it died on me. It didn't seem to dry my hair quicker than my Conair dryer. It got too hot in my opinion too. But the Leifen one is one I would love to give a try to see if my hair likes it better than the Dyson...love all your videos!!!
Where is this dryer available for $159.99??? Because I'm only seeing 2 different models that are priced at "sale" price if either $199.99 or $239.99. Seems almost like a bait and switch by the manufacturer which is shady.

I was looking to give her a Dyson and yes it breaks the bank and with times like these every penny count especially if you have a young kid that we take care of. My wife is a wonderful mother working for a fire department and I am just looking for a good comparable product like a Dyson. She could use the extra time in taking care of herself and have more time for whatever she needs to do for herself. She is a wonderful mother and wife but she needs that little "me" time.
