That's why India can never be on top despite having so much talent in India. The political bureaucracy and the laid back attitude of common people to forget and move on. But it is important to know history in its true light and not who is better or less so that we don't do the same mistake. In Europe, I observe that history is taught right from childhood and people take pride in knowing it but in India, history is meant for students who scored less in their exams.

I welcome for making a film on one of the greatest prime minister India has ever produced. Making a film on political history is not everyone's cup of tea. Treatment could have been better. What I like most is the interview of Kuldeep Nayar. One of the tallest figure in Indian journalism. He didn't approve one conspiracy theory that of the involvement of Gandhi family in the mysterious death of Shastri ji. Shastri Ji's family thought there is some sort of involvement by Gandhis, but Kuldeep ji denied it in strong words. If the film maker is categorically trying to defame some political personalities, then they are very wrong 🤔.
Tried his best to show the facts as per documents. Thanks to the producer of the movie for our coming generations. The only difference is, that time the grand old party of India was under influence of KGB and after that the same party was under CIA and China with a skill of higher bargaining powers. Thanks, God, for Sanatan in recent time.
Lal Bahadur Shastri.. some called him frail, weak most called him the wrong choice for the post of the PM. They forgot his middle name. When the enemy came knocking he took and allowed an open invasion of Pakistan. If and buts are plenty. I say he was another who was killed in Cold War. Such a bold and fearless independent Decision maker was being watched by all who had bet India to fail and Pakistan to succeed. I think he knew well it will cost him his life and clearly we know this too. But knowing this and still doing exactly what was needed.. that's Bahadur.. I hope his files see daylight in our lifetime.

Despite a stellar cast of actors, the narrative is somewhat stilted, and fails to grip one's attention - took me five sessions to complete watching the two hours, seventeen minutes movie.
This is truly disappointing, heartbreaking, disgusting, eye opening, pathetic times of our nations history. So sad :( so many died, while so many of our own looted this nation in all colors & dimensions possible. Hope someday in future Bharath will attain its true Swantantra from this wronged & distorted India in millions different ways.
