Kristin you are the key to your family's strength. You exude a natural sense of devotion, kindness & care to work in harmony with your brother that will accord Grandma Smyth Steadin' the tranquillity she seeks. May the virtues of grace & fortitude deliver gentle comfort for your Grandma in these difficult times.
Prayers for Grandma and your whole family. Its a tough road but I think you will find that much love can be shared in that short period of time. Stay strong for grandma and family. Best wishes.
My older Bro John teased me lot's back in the 70's. He drove me insane by poking me and saying "got you last". Made me cry lot's... In the early 80's we became favorite bros. I visited him lot's even though he was over 1000 k'ms away, living in Vancouver. Long story short... he got aids. (Horrible way to die back in the 80's) About two weeks before his death he called me. Speaking gibberish. I could make out most of it. Blew my mind though of what he said. I won't get into that though. I took my first and only airplane ride to be at his side when he took his last breath. When the heart monitor flat lined I reached out and grabbed his big toe and said "Got you last" My other brother Joe burst out laughing. He knew exactly why I did that. Mom and Dad were confused? But Joe knew exactly why I did it. "Got him last" He knows it and I'm pretty sure that when we meet again the bugger is gonna poke me. Since he knows he now lives in eternity he's in no hurry. He's been watching every move I make ever since he passed. He even helped me compose this reply. Long story short...we will meet again. My condolences.
Thanks Timcat. That made me chuckle. 😊 My cousin and I always told the same story. He passed away and now I tell it. It's always good to tell stories and have good memories.
Kristin I am ever so sorry. We will be praying for you , your mom and family. God will you please release your comfort and strength to Kristin and her family. Lord there are no words other than please hold them all close to your heart. Know that you are loved and hugs from us.
Oh Kristin, so sorry. I went through the same thing with my mother. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Just some advice. I took the opportunity to tell her everything I had on my mind about what a great job I thought she did being my mom. Just know that where she is going will be a whole lot easier than where we are right now. God Bless.
so sorry for what you are going through, stay strong for your family, they will surely need you in the coming weeks/months but also take some time for yourself, i wish you all the best for the future.
