@@DragonSlayer2123 Huh? Why wouldn't you be able to catch it? You can catch it whenever you want. You just won't be able to keep remaking lobbies for your friends if you save.
@@TrueJamo So overall this method seems like it would work, but I have a suggestion for making future vids like this: just get right to the whole method. As in, only explain what you have to do for the method and then after you explain all the steps, then explain why they work. I find that it's easier to remember how to perform this if the explanation as to "why does this allow the process to work as intended" is all after you explain all the steps, instead of in between each step.

@@he7der uhhhhh, yea, lol. The Pokemon isn't going to ever change. Every time you catch it it will be the same Pokemon. Stats, IV's, abilities, Gender, PID, everything is the same. You're just catching the same Pokemon every single time. To get a different Pokemon you have to re-roll the den.

This was actually possible in like gen 3 with the pomeg berry glitch. People did so much with this glitch, from leveling up eggs to level 100, duplicating masterballs, getting glitch pokemon, and even hack pokemon in he game.

1. Check den (DO NOT BATTLE), change date, then save.
2. [Check den (DO NOT BATTLE) change date, DO NOT SAVE.] x3
3. Engage battle. If no shiny appears, repeat every step.
The 4th “slot” refers to how many times you go into the den AFTER the save.
Example- check, change date, then save. (Then you start counting). Check 1, check 2, check 3, engage battle.

When you're raid spamming, right after you hit invite others, if you hit B and then the home button, change your date, and go back, you can just spam A to open a new den. I've gotten pretty fast at it and its more efficient than having to go to "quit" with low text speed.

this helped me figure out what another youtuber was doing. he got to the shiny in the fourth slot, but actually started the raid, and used another game to catch it, then killed the game without him leaving the den, so when he started the game up again his fourth slot was another shiny, in order to farm all of the 12 shinies from the raid den.
Dislikes are from the people who spent all their time hunting these

Using the same logic finding them in the wild is 100% chance.
That's exactly the same way as finding a shiny magikarp from egg and then choose the shiny you want in previous game!

How is this exploit persisting?? Are they using the same base code and just adding onto it..
Its not the same with this method your chances of encountering the first one are about 1/4000. The magikarp method was mesuda so about 1/510. Also this method only lets you control what mon it is up to the mon that spawn in the specific den.

This method sounds really cool until you realize just how long it's going to take to find that shiny.
For reference, my friend and I have been doing this method for a few days and he's at around 1000 checked and I'm at around 200. Together we've only seen our 5% gmax pokemon 3 times total in all of our encounters. So not only do you have to keep doing this method until you find the shiny, then you have to reset a bunch more (probably hundreds) of times just to get the right gmax.
You literally get ONE shiny check in the time it takes to reset once, save, then reset 3 more times.
Shiny hunting is never easy. But the power to control your shiny is a gold mine
I mean, Masuda method lets you control your shiny too.
Yes this takes time but that ONE shiny turns into as many as you would like. Once the shiny is in 4th spot it will always be. Get some friends and 3 can catch the shiny. The host resets game and shiny on 4th spot again!
I don't know about that in Ultra sun and Ultra Moon it was really easy. I caught 2 shiny Eevee's in 6 hours total and in 3 days I caught 4 shiny Eevee's

I mean, it is 100% chance... if you have the patience/time to continue re-rolling until you get it. It's the same as g-max hunting. You could get lucky and get one in 5 minutes or take over an hour to find one.

I didn't say he only spent an hour. The hour was referring to g-max hunting. Cause more than half the g-max pokemon I hunted for myself took over an hour to get. Some almost two hours.

What happens if you send the date back to the correct date, after getting the Pokémon you want, does it mess the game up in anyway, or does the game carry on as normal, as no one has mentioned it?
it resets ur 24 hours so long as ur not doing "invite others". You can keep setting ur clock back using the "invite others" to 1 AM to reset ur 24 hour time limit
Will probably be underrated but this is a MASSIVE game changer when it comes to shiny hunting the raids. If you are incredibly smart, you can have a team of of 3 people catching multiple/different types of shiny pokemon in the same Den everytime. If the one slot is always guaranteed to be a shiny and always randomized pokemon ( meaning 1 of the 12 pokemon in the den ). You can have your team catch all 12 or more of the same pokemon from that den and move on to the next den. If you make sure when you use a weak pokeon before the first encounter and lose. It'll still be there and you'll be able to host the shiny raid once for your team, then reset the method again to change to the next mon. This is lowkey huge if that ends up being the case.
You can actually just leave the raid by closing ur game after the first move so others can continue

Yeah I’ll stick to masuda method. Even if I can’t get shiny Gmax, HA and 5-6 IVs is still a pretty valuable Pokémon. This just seems extremely tedious
jjohnsonnccc this is objectively better than masuda when u finally hit the shiny though. That one mon can be recaptured over and over indefinitely. If done with a valuable mon like G Max Snorlax, you can trade that 5IV HA Shiny Gmax comp ready mon over and over again for every and any shiny mon u could think of.
Traded shinies for exploit ones don’t have any value tbh, it’s just a weird looking recolour if you don’t work for it
So you said "you can collect all the shinies, that are in that den." But to be clear:
Doesn't it reset the den after you caught your desired shiny? If you caught it and you want another one, woudln't you have to save the game and therefore would overwrite the shiny in the den because you already got it? How does the repeatthing work if you play without friends you could host the shinies for?
Time to buy another switch....
Host it on Local wireless and use your 2nd switch and game to catch it, then reset it on the host for a different Pokémon 🙂
btw I’m not doing any exploits but I like seeing how broken the game is. Hopefully there can be some kind of mega patch in the future!

This is still very confusing- I was just looking for a way to shiny hunt a gmax charizard but then all these numbers and places came in and I don’t even know what they are- in future videos could you please explain what the things you’re using to hunt actually are?

If getting the purple beam confused or lost anyone, the method has better explanation by austin john plays, specifically the video that claims to get rare gigantimax in 5 minutes (he has an older method that takes a lot longer); he also mentions a few things you need to do for most of this process to work that weren't mentioned (I think) such as turning off auto save, not doing so can completely mess up the process, he also explains why stuff works which also makes the process a bit easier to follow, he however does NOT mention how to use this process to get a shiny, so this video is great, not hating, just another video to help my fellow players who seem confused in the comments

100% chance is super misleading. It's like saying you have 100% chance of encountering a shiny. You do eventually, but you gotta put in those REs and that takes time. In this case this method seems super slow compared to full odds normal hunting, though a shiny Gmax Charizard might be worth it to some.
nah i try to make it clear as possible the hard part is getting a shiny first. Once u have it, you certainly do have 100% chance to get that shiny gmax
I mean in the video you do a good job clarifying that, but in the thumbnail someone gullible might think you are handing out easy shinies.

So what I don't understand is the following:
You check the den for the first time, date spoof, den 2nd time, date spoof, den 3rd time, date spoof, den 4th time if it's a shiny.
If not, you just reset, date spoof once, then save and continue the loop above. (Am I right until now?)
If it is indeed shiny, imagine it is a (fictional den) magikarp, but you want a barraskewda, you just reset, date spoof 3 times and then check for the 4th time, it should switch to maybe a barraskewda.
Now comes the part I don't understand: If it is a barraskewda, you want to catch it and save the game. But you can't farm any more shinies from it right?
So if I throw a wishing piece into it, does it give me a random shiny from the den?
Wait, is the raid predetermined for 4 days or the den? So if I put a wishing piece in, is it predetermined what pokemon there will be for 4 days or is it the den, which means you can throw wishing pieces how many times you want and it will always bring up pokemon from the predetermined pool?
How do you exactly farm shinies? Do you need a friend who just keeps on catching multiple shinies and hands them over to you and you keep on reseting the pokemon on the 4th day in the den?
4 minutes in was a better explanation than what Austin John did with 20 minutes of video. Yikes.

you can do the invite others trick and set ur clock BACKWARDS to 1 am. Do that every day and u can keep the den forever

People act like this ruins shinys, and I can see that it does make shinys drop in value a bit, but you still have to get lucky enough to find a shiny pokemon first. then you can do the glitch. The most broken part about it is that you can just get a friend to catch it over and over.
