- Having convinced myself that fixing Urrgmelonflex will resolve every revenue shortcoming from its associated routes, I'm not giving up on it just yet. Here's another rail route heading into this whitest of elephantine towns.
If you'd like the mod collection I'm using with this series, you can find it here :
steamcommunity...
This is a viewer-supported series. If you'd like to help out, you can back the series for $1 per month on Patreon (or become a UA-cam member at $5 monthly) which will give you access to an additional episode per week, the current ongoing backers let's play series and much more besides.
This is the 13th episode in the series. The ones you may have missed are total bangers.

If you'd like support the channel, join in with some multiplayer action and/or hang out with some of the friendliest people on the internet, fling less-than-a-coffee's worth of currency at one of the two destinations below and get more gubbins, including the opportunity to join members-only games and the monthly Colonel Failure "vlog", which is a vlog.
Two ways to get with the program-
Option 1 (several different tiers available): Patreon - / colonelfailure
Option 2 (one size-fits all): UA-cam - www.youtube.co...
i paint and trim the tracks the lazy way. i have a solo train i ride, give it a route, then i just hold the button as i ride the train lol lazy way of clearing trees and such out of the way too lol
That's genius! I'm copying that.
There is a mod called Lower Grass that removes the in between track grass
The painting is deeply appreciated, its a small detail that with the default track can make it shine the little further needed bit
I just wanted to say: I love the thumbnail!
Of course, the most useful bit of Feverlore concerns the revelation of the nom de la strip-teaseuse "Senseless Plateaus". All it needs is a Hump Yard.
35:10 "What do you want to call it?"
Well, it whizzes around Mos Eisley, so the only name that makes any sense would be "Mozzy Flyer".
I have played TF for years but I have never got to grips with huge sorting goods stations like you experts build. Could I ask you to make a series on how to…things like how to connect all the cities, all the goods sorting from central points then back out etc? Love your humour and narration!
you mean a goods hub? He built a really good one back in tpf1 I think it was called Mainline series. It's basically the same concept in 2, other than nowadays you only get two resources per city rather than the full 5 resources that they need/want/desire to be supplied with.
hang on, no he did do it in tpf2 also:
watch?v=IgRhIcXSqYM
I acknowledge your request. Consider it a firm "maybe".
Short version:
-build a massive station, so 6-8 tracks.
-Connect lines to it, with trains bringing in goods and trains taking out goods.
-goods can swap lines as long as it connects to its end goal. So you can have a train drop off a ton of stone and another train will come along and pick it up as long as it will be dropped off at a construction material factory down the line.
-Add trucks to deliver any dropped-off goods from a station to the factory, or city that needs it.
@ thank you!
Definitely felt a little giddy :)
That thumbnail is a one to die for!
'Ouuh! should I do this ..?' 'Ohh! should I do that ..?' Awwhh! We wanted to see it (Of course). ;o) And now Barry Turnups looms on the horyision .. Yey!
(More your Honor Blackman/Shirley Eaton, Diana Rigg/ Eleanor Bron, even Joanna Lumpey here, still Jenny Agutter brings the aura of a delightful smile.)
Yes I had discovered that little tidbit myself ... a simple bus to train station from middle of town seems to boost travelers exponentially ??? no one wants to walk a couple of blocks lol.
Ohhh, adore the Derail Valley reference 😆❤
Johnny French looks good but costs 2x the price at 1M per year upkeep though. Also Nice bridge mod
Thats a great Screenshot.
A suggestion for that Art Deco pillar Colonel: lower it so the cross bar sits under the girder of the bridge rather than clipping through.
Didn't notice the clipping. Thanks, I'll look.
Lovely Glenfailure Viaduct, top notch. Pullman line worthy? No, probably not.
11:12 if the youtube career ever goes awry, I'm sure Senseless Plateaux can make a decent living. Bit niche but I'm sure you'd find a market
Sounds like a new town/city name.
Senseless Plateaux should play brutalball
Colonel Senseless Plateaux Does Dallas (or Castle Rock anyway)...
Jenny Agutter... Ah yes. Her in Logan's Run and the TV show Charlies Angels happened about the same time. It was a VERY good time to be a 13 year old boy.
Great thumbnail
Of a certain age, certainly. But not necessarily of a certain nationality.
Riding train is the reason I get out of bed :)
I always use commuter lines but usually wait until the towns are larger.
Senseless Plateaus hahaha
If you are interested in huge train bridges, look up the Lethbridge Viaduct. Built in the early 1900's, it's the largest and longest bridge of its type!
dont forget the supports!!
✌🏻
Can you show the little taxis riding in the city with the airport? With the 6(?) people capacity there is probably a lot of traffic.
So now the series should be called....devolution?
Is Mos Eisley getting a bus service of some sort to get people to the train station?
Cable car up the cliff!
This will seem like nitpicking but shouldn’t CAST Commuter have Lightrail in there being a tram route?
I think your train won't make it back to it's home station with that branch junction after you signalled it, there's no turnout?
"Mos Eisley spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious." Need i say more?
Or as Jingles put it: "Mos Eisley spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy." - he's obviously never been to Portsmouth!
Hey Colonel, have you seen Derail Valley has had a huge new patch? Any possibility it could make an appearance?
I have seen it. It's unlikely to make an appearance, but never say never.
@@colonelfailure Sweet, thanks for the reply.
Of course it was bumpy, It's French(I'm 1% French, Don't send Me hatred).
that viaduct is not to tall colonel
Have you seen the new update for Derail Valley?
I have.
#13?
Sir your terraforming gives me anxiety
Grit teeth, embrace the madness.
You should drop this bst and get back to Soviet resources game.
People telling him what to do is THE reason he's not doing Soviet Ressources ever again.
@@philipbossy4834Don't get me wrong, I love that the good colonel got me into W&R:SR, but TBH the reason for so many people telling him what to do is that he just played to poorly that he would had failed in a few more episodes, out of money (and if that was a thing at that time out of max loan limit) if he had kept going.
That game is hard, and before all the "campaigns" / tutorials the only real way to learn how to play it was to watch UA-cam videos on various channels and also read the comments, as in most cases you learn about as much from the comments as from watching the game play.
P.S. worth noting is that an unnamed large channel actually sent in a republic for fixing to a certain channel that mostly plays W&R:SR, and it showed that even the bigger creators struggle with the game.
The Zephir might make money if you manage to make a route that goes downhill both ways 🥸
