My favourite songs are the ones that are deceptively catchy and upbeat but if you listen to the lyrics they're actually melancholy and in some cases very dark. I just love that!
My comment on the previous video reflects what you said. I wrote it in a different way- life was about humans and not becoming plastic, robots and inanimate objects. Singers were not competing with their looks. They were using their talents for their livelihoods, not their bodies. Today, the physical appearance is made to be seen first, overshadowing the missing talents.
I'm German but I've delved deep into the history of Brit Pop and have come to the conclusion that the 80s are the best in the history of music. Especially the British bands who fought a real psychological war to see who would get to number 1 in the charts. The best time of my life. Today I'm 63 and mourn that time. But luckily there is You Tube Music that has captured the memories of that time.

Remember the dancing scene been filmed at Plaza de Armas in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico back in September of '88, was there on vacation and couldn't believe the Pet Shop Boys were there making a video, that was so cool. Good memories!

I never wanted that movie to end. I hear this, and that time re-runs like I’m standing right there. If it feels real, it is real. Forever.
I heard it on a plane flight for the first time far away from North America. I will always remember loving it (it was on the 'other|' playlist options), and it cemented my love for the PSBs. It made me very happy.
This song is the epitome of 80s music - my mum grew up loving the Pet Shop Boys, and I experienced their music because of her! We've been to see them live twice now, and can't wait to see them again this summer :)

I was a teenager in the 60s, and love the music of the 60s, 70s and 80s. I love the Pet Shop Boys blend of disco, techno, and the way they put their own spin on songs like Always on My Mind. They have a unique sound, truly great duo.

This song was my favorite in September 1988 when I was 16 and went to the disco for the first time in my life. I was shy, uptight and ashamed to dance, so I was sitting at a table near the dance floor drinking some beer and watched the crowd. Then after one or two hours they suddenly played "Domino Dancing" and I told myself: so this is your favorite song, you MUST dance now, don't be such a coward! So I entered the dance floor, went to the middle and after a couple of more songs my shyness went away and I really enjoyed it. This is what I always have to think of when I hear "Domino Dancing".
Basseck 16 and you managed to get into a club, fantastic. I was paddling on my bmx up and down Dagenham and Romford. World was much better then. We used to leave our front door unlocked all day and night and everyone got on with everyone and look now what time has revealed.

So right..I was 19 in '88 and times were great! There was so many good music you just didn't know where to start. I created a USB-stick with over 2000 seventies, eighties and nineties songs to listen to in my car to compensate for todays crap on the radio. And it makes sooo many good memories come to live. I really miss those days. Seems like good music ended starting the '00's. I thank God many times that I was able to live my younger days in the '70s/'80s/'90s..Best days ever.

Every culture has its rise and fall. There's been many cultures before us, so sadly the rise is faster than ever, and so is the coming fall. People moan about the fact that all new music and all new movies suck, but the reason for that is that all good music has already been composed, and all great stories have already been told. Every fall of a culture has been marked by the fact that entertainment has become mostly food, sex and violence, hence the last episode in any culture is the episode of decadence. Comes right after the episode of intellect and knowledge. It's downhill from here, be glad you weren't born yesterday.

Managed majority of late seventies, enjoyed the 80’s, learnt the 90’s and got rude awakening by the millennium and from there on it has been nothing to write home about. I understand that world and life both is ever changing and constantly moving forward but that doesn’t mean that the quality has to be poor. Prime example car manufacturers with time has moved forward and going hybrid now, music industry has got new ways of creating music with heavy utilisation of advanced should softwares and etc but the core element within the music industry is now a days extremely poor ie the lyrics and the actual ability to sing. You won’t find a voice like Neil diamond or Rod Stewart or Bruce Springsteen, or musician like Roy Orbison or Linsey Buckingham, Steve wonders and Lionel Richie has amazed us with their magics so did White snakes/Iron Maiden/ Pink Floyd etc but in today’s environmental have musicians who are known for everything apart from their voices and ability to sing and produce constant quality. I remember how we used to wait like hawks to snap up new releases by our favourite bands and how original they sounded without the use of excessive explicit language and now a days it’s all about sex drugs guns and dirty asses. Although on a very rare occasions I have found people like Gary Barlow/ Rihanna and a few others producing good quality vocals including SIA. That’s about it for me I guess.

I remember them playing this song at the Sziget Festival in 2004. Just the two of them with some neon lights above their heads. The whole gig was amazing. one of the best pop concerts I've ever been. Minimal and wonderful. I' ve been a fan of the Pet Shop Boys since the 80s. Timeless classics all of their songs. and what an amazing music video!

It's no longer about the music---it's a bunch of tone deaf pop tarts acting out on stage, which works well for them, as they can't sing a song without autotuning. I'd keep your radio off and avoid music award programs.

This song was my favorite in September 1988 when I was 16 and went to the disco for the first time in my life. I was shy, uptight and ashamed to dance, so I was sitting at a table near the dance floor drinking some beer and watched the crowd. Then after one or two hours they suddenly played "Domino Dancing" and I told myself: so this is your favorite song, you MUST dance now, don't be such a coward! So I entered the dance floor, went to the middle and after a couple of more songs my shyness went away and I really enjoyed it. This is what I always have to think of when I hear "Domino Dancing".
Basseck 16 and you managed to get into a club, fantastic. I was paddling on my bmx up and down Dagenham and Romford. World was much better then. We used to leave our front door unlocked all day and night and everyone got on with everyone and look now what time has revealed.

It’s official that we won’t get music like this anymore.... lucky to be from an era where we saw some disco and introduction of techno and heavy use of synthesisers... we also witnessed the mobile phone technology slowly unfolding and the Walkman era drawing a line...😢would do anything to go back to that era ....
So right..I was 19 in '88 and times were great! There was so many good music you just didn't know where to start. I created a USB-stick with over 2000 seventies, eighties and nineties songs to listen to in my car to compensate for todays crap on the radio. And it makes sooo many good memories come to live. I really miss those days. Seems like good music ended starting the '00's. I thank God many times that I was able to live my younger days in the '70s/'80s/'90s..Best days ever.

Comes right after the episode of intellect and knowledge. It's downhill from here, be glad you weren't born yesterday.

Managed majority of late seventies, enjoyed the 80’s, learnt the 90’s and got rude awakening by the millennium and from there on it has been nothing to write home about. I understand that world and life both is ever changing and constantly moving forward but that doesn’t mean that the quality has to be poor. Prime example car manufacturers with time has moved forward and going hybrid now, music industry has got new ways of creating music with heavy utilisation of advanced should softwares and etc but the core element within the music industry is now a days extremely poor ie the lyrics and the actual ability to sing. You won’t find a voice like Neil diamond or Rod Stewart or Bruce Springsteen, or musician like Roy Orbison or Linsey Buckingham, Steve wonders and Lionel Richie has amazed us with their magics so did White snakes/Iron Maiden/ Pink Floyd etc but in today’s environmental have musicians who are known for everything apart from their voices and ability to sing and produce constant quality. I remember how we used to wait like hawks to snap up new releases by our favourite bands and how original they sounded without the use of excessive explicit language and now a days it’s all about sex drugs guns and dirty asses. Although on a very rare occasions I have found people like Gary Barlow/ Rihanna and a few others producing good quality vocals including SIA. That’s about it for me I guess.

I remember them playing this song at the Sziget Festival in 2004. Just the two of them with some neon lights above their heads. The whole gig was amazing. one of the best pop concerts I've ever been. Minimal and wonderful. I' ve been a fan of the Pet Shop Boys since the 80s. Timeless classics all of their songs. and what an amazing music video!
