The fact that your pass was imperceptible even at .25 speed is insaaaaaane.

I thought the same time. I rewatched that part so many times. I thought he was just saying you could do a pass and not even doing one as it really doesn't look like it.

@@alternativeglasto There is both: a cut and a pass. I guess the pass wasn't clean the first try and he cut it and made the pass again. But slow down again, the classic pass is there and it's really great!

The pass at 4:48. 🤯I've watched all of Alex's pass videos and I've improved greatly.. but geez.. that pass was so clean. Can't wait to be floored again on the rest of the video.

The cut was so obvious it is not worth mentioning. Apparently he might had done a decent/mediocre pass and he wasn't satisfied with it and went on to do a better pass. Of course he had to cut out the bad/mediocre pass before putting out the video.

I LOVE this! I did figure the trick out (because I've been doing something similar that I call "Deja Vu" for years), but then I did what I assumed you were doing to try it out... and I managed to fool MYSELF! (The trick worked, but I was still sitting there thinking, "How the HELL does that Happen?!")
Haven't even finished watching the video yet and I can see myself doing it with zero sleights. (again, similar to something I've already been doing) I tell the "participant" that I bet they know me better than they think (or that they're more psychic than they realize). "I'm going to hide two cards in the deck, and YOU, without even really trying are going to use your psychic powers to find them." etc. etc. 🙂 Awesome!

This is a coo version of “Stolen Cards” by Lennart Green, one of my all time favorite self working effect. In his version the faces of the cards are all of the same (except the 2 queens), and the backs of the cards have all different designs on them. So when you do the effect you get a bunch of “kickers”. First- after they dealt everything you immediately notice that the cards they inserted have identical backs as your two queens. Second-when you turn the selections over they match the corresponding queen. Third, you tell them they are very lucky they stopped dealing when they did because when you spread the deck you will see that EVERY card is the same (example- all 2 of hearts). Triple kicker!

lovely little trick! i have another idea of how to present the cards at the end which may be more deceptive id thought id share in case any one wants it: when you get to where alex is at 2:40 and just need to reveal them, might be better in some scenarios to spread the deck face up and then they can see their cards next to the locator cards.
when you spread the cards face up it will look like it was the same card that was under the queen when they stopped dealing (if they dont think about it too much) u know? cos like the card they stopped dealing at was to the left of the locator card if they spread out the deck and so is their card when you turn the deck face up and spread. I dont think i explained this properly #sorry but hopefully u know what i mean

An excellent tutorial for beginners, Alex. However, you should include credits in your tutorial videos (or in the video description). For example, the prediction version you describe with the Kings belongs to Karl Fulves and is called "Gemini Twins". It is important to set a good example for the young magicians following you on YT.

2:43 i think i know what happened and i like it. Edit Thanks for the new magic trick. Many different stories you can tell with this one. Hmm let me think of a couple to type out here. Ooo ok so how about the Queens will be jailed and you choose their cell number by dealing off random amounts of cards the selections are the cell mates and the verdict was guilty so lets see who the queens got bunked with. OO that makes me think of another one the queens are to be married to 2 other cards. it sorta like an arranged marriage but you , the spectator will choose your mate... at random .... shheesh this trick just got kinda dirty. hahaha well thanks again c ya next time

The problem with this trick is that it’s insanely obvious that you place a queen on top of a card that is dealt to and then the reveal takes the card on top of the queen... I’m sure there’ll be people who don’t notice, but to me it’s not very impressive.
    Great video and explanation though.
