- Welcome to Tokyo Drew Travels. In this video we explore Ikebukuro station's underground passages filled with so many shops, restaurants and local fair.
Ikebukuro is the world's 2nd busiest station with approximately 3 million commuters daily. The JR lines run north/south through the center. The Tobu platforms are to the northwest and the Seibu platforms are to the southeast. The Marunouchi Line and Yurakucho Line run east/west two stories underground, while the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line is four stories underground to the west of the main station complex. With 4 major department stores (Seibu, Tobu, Lumine and Parco) as well as hundreds of boutique stores available, Ikebukuro station is a shopping paradise.

hi drew
Cool, thanks! Glad my videos can be helpful 👍
Thanks for a nice walkthrough!
Appreciate you watching. Thank you 🙏
Looks like you could spend an entire day there, and the take a train home!
There is so much to see and do down here it would take a good day to enjoy shopping and a lunch for sure
That's a great tour! (And there's so much more! lol) These Tokyo train stations are thriving little cities unto themselves. I love living in Ikebukuro.
Thanks for watching!
I remember feeling sooo lost looking for the Jr Office inside this station, me and mom walked around for almost 1h, I almost cried ahahahahh
It can be so confusing. Really hate all the hallways that lead you in circles lol
I would be lost constantly if I lived there.
Usually big stations like this, Shinjuku and Shibuya or even Tokyo station, anyone can get lost! Can be very overwhelming for sure!
wow that place isso big, never even heard of ISP
I find a lot of people never seen ISP as they probably walk right past it all the time! Hidden secrets right in front of you lol
Thanks for the tour. Plan to do some exploring of my own when we’re there in May since we’ll be staying at the Sunshine City Prince Hotel. We like Yamada Denki too, more than Bic or Yodobashi. May will be our 13th trip to Japan and our 3rd staying in Ikebukuro.
Thank you for watching! Appreciate it. Sunshine Prince Hotel is nice! Awesome. Do love all the electronic stores in the area, Yamada Denki is my fav. Bought my PC, Laptop, Microwave/Convection over and washer/dryer from that store lol
Tokyo Underground would look like Swiss cheese 😂 with all the train 🚆 tunnels
I hear ya on that one! lol
Nice video.can i ask you if you know if parco has a basement food hall?i know both tobu and seibu have them but not sure about parco thanks
Parco has a smaller one but not like Seibu or Tobu. Actually Seibu closed down this month too 😳
