Not necessarily the case. When some animals are in discomfort they'll tense up. Not all frogs scream either. At my workplace we see a few species of wild frogs and toads, but none of them are the type to scream when I relocate them (I work with dogs so not a very safe place for the wild frogs). In fact, chances are they might even be peeing on the hands or excreting some fluids to deter predators.
I've seen toads go completely still after my friend's dog messes with them because of shock. It's good though because then I can move them lol.
