- Hello hello :) This is more of a ramble-y typical ASMR video for me, and I tried to minimize the wet mouth sounds as much as I could, to kind of make a mukbang video for people who don't typically watch eating videos!! There are definitely still mouth sounds though! Anyway, I went to Berlin/Köln/Brussels/Ypres recently and picked up some of the best candy I have EVER ever ever had... oh my... I love candy so much... I'm still thinking about Sugar Pig...

I know right? I can not stand those mukbangs where people do that. To me that sound is like nails on a chalkboard.

Some people like mouth sounds.
Some prefer cleaner audio.
I'm fine with both, depending on the extent

THIS is the kind of eating asmr that we need more of. Normal, soft sounds and eating like a normal person without the loud, exaggerated lip smacking or eating huge amounts very quickly

@@grilin18.it’s funny, cause the original Korean mukbang used to be just that. It was looked down upon to eat alone in Korea, so Koreans started making these mukbang videos so it feels like you were eating with a friend. Americans just took mukbangs, ran with it, and made it these horrible fast food eating videos

@@blankness8I don’t think it’s a common association anymore for the whole of the U.K., but it is Scotland’s national animal. There are a lot of unicorns, and I mean A LOT, in our folklore and mythology, whether that’s Gaelic, Celtic or any of the other major folklore branches.

omg hi Gibi, i work in a Belgian candy store so this was really fun to see! The capital G mark on the cuberdons is for the brand “Geldhof” thats how you know you got the genuine ones and not a cheap knockoff 😉

I call the candy wafers, flying saucers. My gran would buy boxes of them when we were younger and it was the best 😂
In Germany we call these Brause-UFOs
In the Netherlands we call them ufo’s, they are so good! I haven’t had them in such a long time though😂
In the UK we also call them flying saucers

16:45 the subtle tooth click was sooo good for some reason. Satisfying. Also as a European thank you for trying some of our candies. It’s easy to forget how novel it is for people outside of Europe. Especially since most ASMR muckbangs I’ve seen come from American and Asian creators.

as someone with misophonia, i really appreciate your approach to asmr:) there has never been a video of yours that i don’t enjoy and between new video uploads, i often find myself rewatching some videos or scrolling back to videos from a few years ago to see something new

@@TheMathematicsMaster001 it literally means hatred of sound. it basically makes it so certain sounds make someone extremely angry and can trigger fight or flight-like responses. it’s really hard to live with. i would google it for more information though, its hard to explain it to someone that doesn’t have it
The light alcoholy ball was probably Eierlikör. It's an egg-milky-liquor and tastes sooo good. We put that in cakes here too and have it for Christmas 😊
Having heard you talk about your food anxiety/not being open to trying new/random foods cause of your sesame allergy, seeing you just bite into the mystery chocolates at the beginning I was so proud. Way to go Gibi! 🎉
I wonder if the green was matcha, the "coconut" looking one was passion fruit, the "rhubarb" was beets, and the "blueberry" was sour cherry? Those are my guesses based off your description 😊 Love the smiles and joy you give everyone!

I think rhubarb is a better guess for Germany. That's a common ingredient, beets not at all. Never seen beets as a candy ingredient here or even heard of it and also - why would they choose it? They taste of nothing but earth on their own.

I think Rhubarb could also have been lingonberry.

So little fun fact, those Cuberdons are made in my hometown Gent (or Ghent in English) which is where the ‘G’ on it comes from.
In my town we actually had a ‘nose-war’ between two stalls on a small square that sell them of which ones were the real OG noses. I think it had to be settled in court that the guys had to stop the war, so to this day it is still undecided!

🍬Candy Factoid #1: marzipan is called "marsepein" in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium.
It is available all year round, but is mostly bought around early December as a treat for children for the annual Sinterklaas celebration.
🍬Candy Factoid #2: the cuberdons (in Dutch, "neuzekes"/little noses)- are also the subject of the now infamous"cuberdon war" in the city of Ghent, where two rivaling street vendors repeatedly clashed in public over their vending space. I'm sure you can find some (sad but hilarious) reports about it online.

You trying the sweets at the start reminded me of my school trip when I was 12. On one of the days we went to a chocolate factory in Germany and got a chocolate tasting experience. I remember one of the chocolates had tea in it and we all thought it was gross! Though I think if I had it today I would love it. Looking back, I can say for sure the teachers definitely booked that one because they wanted to try the fancy chocolates ahaha. 12 year olds would’ve been happier with haribo from the grocery store lol.
I love how you went to Belgium. The cuberdons are widely available over here, never realized they are not exported.
We call the flying saucers either "flying saucer", "UFO" or "Hosties" (=dutch word for communion wafers)
As a Belgian, I'm glad you enjoyed the cuberdons, its my favorite! We also have ice cream with cuberdon flavor. In Flemmish we call them: neuzekes
What flavor is the inside jelly? It looks very interesting
@@victoriazhu2185 it's kind of floral, I think it could be lavender but not too much so doesn't taste like soap, we make them fresh and they need to be eaten before they turn solid on the inside

Never been a fan of mukbang videos or sounds! HOWEVER... This is done in such a tastful way for me personally, not over played, even to the point of Gibi covering her mouth. So polite. A mukbang vid i would happily watch and listen to again.

I ate a lot of Pico Ballas as a child because they used to be my mom's favourites ... And I often removed the thicker gummy outside and then enjoyed the soft, kinda fruity inside bits. Was messy, but loved it.

pico balla is one of my all time fav candies, i first got it as a child and couldnt find it for a long time and became obsessed all over again

You should come to Finland if you thought Germany has a lot of variety on candy. We are crazy with candy. Every supermarket in Finland has this thing called "irtomakeiset" which means you can choose all kinds of candy and fill a bag with them. I don't know how to explain it better in English. Don't know if any other Nordic countries have the same thing.
In the Netherlands we have one specific store (kruidvat) where you can do that as well

NGL the fact that you never really do Mukbang is the reason I look forward to your stuff but not gonna down what others like. Plus the Minimal Mouth Sounds really helped.
