  • An indoor cannabis growing facility can be highly profitable but has several hurdles and obstacles. Water is essential for plant growth and managing your irrigation correctly makes a big difference in profit. Water for indoor growers means fertigation, so the process becomes a little more complex.
Taking time to design and install your irrigation system properly will also save you time and money down the road. In this episode of the JAIN Irrigation Training Series we'll closely examine how to effectively design indoor cannabis irrigation.
During this webinar, you will learn the following:
    - Where to place your components
    - What is friction loss, and how does this impact your system
    - How to figure flow and gph
    - How to determine how big of a pump you need

    Really liked the video .
I’m really efficient on everything except water. Been doing drain to waste by hand for years but need some system built for my specific needs.

if I'm using organic inputs with a rockwool drip setup does that change anything in this seminar?

Should the lines to each plant be the same length? I'm working at a grow that's using different lengths from the main line on each table. Here's an example theres 12 plants per light on a 5ft wide flood table with the main table water line runs on the outside edge of each flood table. The plants have different length water lines to each plant. The closest to the edge has two 12-inch lines per plant on each side of the table. The 2nd plant has 2 16-inch per plant on each side. The final or inside plants have 24-inch lines. I feel the shorter lines will have more water released out because it has a shorter travel distance than the longer lines equaling inconsistent amounts of water to each plant between the different lengths. Can you help me with this question. Thanks in advance.

The lines do not have to be the same length but they can only be so long. Your assumption is correct. However only a fraction of water difference will be distributed per line. Line distance depends on pressure and flow, if the lines are off of a PC device then your lengths will need to be shorter but output will be more consistent. No PC device will lead to uneven flows but longer possible line lengths. 1/4" tubing with no PC can typically be run about 15-20' before water subsides substantially. Thanks for tuning in!
