You are right about "meadow". I made an amazing dragon out of solid blue and wings out of frosting meadow. The dragon turned out so lovely! Beautiful colors! Thanks for sharing!

The advice for the Bernat yarns was helpful! I’ve always had inconsistent Bernat skeins so I’ll try buying from yarn/craft stores instead of like Amazon! ❤️

Thanks for mentioning how rough the skeins used to be. I thought I was crazy! I somehow ended up with an old stock of a few colors and they are so hard to work with because theyre so rough but the same colors in the store now are SUPER soft. The Frosting line is my new favorite, I bought so many when I saw them first pop up on the Joann website. The Tweed yarn also makes great chicken amigurumi!
what u said about them changing the formula makes sm sense. I thrifted some in like October and I havent used it once bc I rlly dont like the texture but I noticed the yarn u have looks so soft! Im definitely gonna have to go to a store just to feel the difference

I bought some cotton yarn this week. I have about 70 shades but was quite low on light pink. I don't like the fluffy yarn as much... it's such a mess and I hate weaving in the ends with it. I only made 3 amigurumis so far but I have plans to make more. Out of cotton yarn of course 😂 I love your sunny personality💕

I recently purchased and have been working with the brava cake pop speckle line to make toddler purses. They are not very soft, but they are so fun and colorful! I need to get my hands on all of these!

I purchased the tweed in the orange/brown on cream. Can’t remember the name. And I bought it specifically for pumpkins lol! I made one so far and it’s so cute. Was a bit more tricky seeing the stitches in the beginning compared to the solid color Bernat blanket yarns, but got the hang of it in the end 😊

What is the size of hook do you use with the bernat blanket ? I always endup with huge plushies🤣
I use a 7mm! It does make huge plushies lol!!

I think a lot depends on your tension. I started with 6.5mm. I had a hard time mastering plush yarn. Using bigger sizes helped me. Then, my tension changed with experience, and i had to go down to 5.5mm to avoid stuffing go through holes.
