I remember I saw a documentary on this accident and they interviewed controller Dupta. Of course he was thoroughly investigated and they tried to lay the blame on him because it's so much easier for everyone if a scapegoat is found soon. He was cleared at the end, but he was very much traumatized by the ordeal, and even though he knew he couldn't have avoided it, deep inside there's always a shadow of doubt, "what if...", that also tortured him. He had depression, started smoking, it had all sorts of consequences for him. He seemed to be a good man. When the documentary was made, he was still suspended from work. Now this video says he's not in active duty but teaching new controllers. I'm speculating, but based on what I saw, that was probably his own decision.

I was in 10th grade when this happened and I live in a nearby town, I remember that how everyone was talking about this incident and I was wondering that how could it be possible to collide in the vast sky where one can move up/down along with side by side, it was really a horror because the most passenger were poor labourers from India who put their everything in order go to Saudi for work.
I was 10 years old. This mishap happened in our village as well as near by villages. My father was village Sarpanch at that time. We were sitting in front of our house with a group of around 20 people. Everything was as usual for us. Around 7:00 or 7:30. Big light seems in sky. We all thought there is fire in another part of village but within some second our entire group realised that it was a air crash. Totally hussle bustle start in our village. People were running in unknown direction due to fear. We also run behind it. Railway line is also near by our village. We it fall down, it " Malba" spread in every direction. On that day a Plan has many engines. One of it engine fall down in our village street. It was exactly in street between two houses. It one engine in the size of railway couch fall down on railway track. Just five minutes before Rewari- Hissar passanger train passed the track. Another one was just leaving Ch. Dadri station but it was stopped in mid. Nearby village people run towards the spot, and not nearby people only but run from far away distance also with their avail convience. One of my cousin brother came from 25 kms by running. But it was fall down between five villages( Patuwas, Mehrana, Dhani Phogat, Tikan Kalan and Kheri Sanwal) and a city (Ch. Dadri). If it was fall down out on any village and town and casualty could be turn in thousands. My father and village many people were on accident spot to help admistration during this mishap. But i was not allowed to go there during night time. Next day i went here with my uncle. It was very tify scene ever never seen me. Deadbody were scattered in fields, on trees and many more. It one pilot was on his chair much behind the main spot. Two more young guys deadbody were near his chair. H.D Devhora was prime minister at that time. He also visited the spot. He clearly know his helicopter land in our school ground. We were seeming him from our classroom window. Ch. Dadri civil hospital totally converted in deadbodies. Victims relatives were coming to know about thier known. But no one survive in that accident. RIP all those who lost their lives during this mishap.
My dad's a former first responder and I asked him about this crash and how anyone could've initially survived it. He's never had to show up to aviation incidents, but he said the case reminded him of an accident in the 90s. Basically in our city, there was a criminal on the run (pretty sure it was just gang charges). He was struck by a train and because of the way the rails sloped + other factors, he wasn't crushed by the vehicle. Instead, he was launched towards a brick wall, and slammed into it at easily 30 mph. Miraculously, when my dad found him, he was alive. In fact, he looked pretty damn good for someone who had been hit by a train and thrown across the train yard into a wall. Abrasions, broken limbs, missing teeth, bruises, that stuff. But he was still alive. Unfortunately, he died on the way to the hospital, and his autopsy revealed that pretty much everything inside of him turned to mush. His organs, muscles, bones, all ripped apart. He may have survived that initial impact, but there was no way he could've survived the whole ordeal. Anyways, the point is, my dad said that's probably what happened here. Their bodies were resilient enough to withstand the crash itself, but they had no chance at surviving the incident. Because on the outside, they seem alright. But everything inside is just destroyed.
You have to remember that air travel is 100x safer now. Modern technology and procedures/requirements at airlines have practically eliminated these types of situations. Most of the crashes that happen now are from human error.
Yes, it was sometime around winter season during my schooling in South Delhi; We were sleeping at night .Suddenly mom is awakened by the thunderous shattering sound which shook windows in our vicinity in Vasant vihar. The next morning is the heartening sad news of the crash .RIP prayers foe all the dead ..
If the death total is still among the 3 highest ever and most for a mid-air collision and I believe it still is, all 3 involved Boeing 747's. Sadly that was one of the major concerns when the first jumbo jets were built in the late 1960's, The staggering loss of life when they eventually and inevitably crashed. Overall, the 747 has been an extremely reliable aircraft but after 50 years in the sky they have been involved in some unforgettable accidents.
This mid-air collision happened in 1996 and the flight number was 1907. 10 years later, another mid-air collision happened in Brazil and the flight number was also 1907. What a coincidence...
There was no fault of the Saudi pilots.. the kazaks misunderstood or failed to understand the instructions . This is what they showed but maybe the actual story is different
@@m1co294 I don't think it might be easy to compare both planes the JAL plane wasn't smashing to the ground with a dive whereas the Saudi 763 and Kazakhstan 1907 were diving downwards
Just a few seconds from impact, the Kazakh plane climbed slightly and the two planes collided. This was because the radio operator of Kazakhstan 1907 discovered only then that they were not at 15,000 feet and asked the pilot to climb. The captain gave orders for full throttle, and the plane climbed, only to hit the oncoming Saudi plane. Had the Kazakh pilots not climbed slightly, it is likely that they would have passed under the Saudi plane.

Allec Joshua Ibay What site, specifically? I do a google search, and there are tons of them. I want to know which is the right one just to be safe, thanks.
Some other facts: 1) Illyushin was a military carrier converted for civil usage, as can be seen, the radio operator's bench is located at a weird position, and it is also a known fact that cabin had ego issues, captains and first officers looked at the radio operators with disdain, often ignoring their strong messages 2) Sadly, Saudi plane mostly had poor blue collar jobs people, who were traveling to the gulf in pursuit of a better life for their families, some stories are so tragic that they crack opens the heart!!! Aftermath: 1) Much of the air space across New Delhi was 'reserved' for airforce at that time, leaving very small corridor for commercial flights, this was rectified later 2) Secondary radar at IG airport was actually present at the airport, just was eating dust in warehouse, without being installed, ironically, it would take another several years that secondary radar could be finally installed
me and my friend experienced a strange phenomena that night when we were out late in the night... something appeared in the sky not very high and we were stunned... we ran after it to see what was up there and it just vanished and sometime later heard this news..not sure if such a mistake can happen and seems some extra terrestrial angle..
Passengers before onboarding : “ wow, where so lucky to catch a seat !” Just before dying: “ how do i get in this situation?” Luck and bad luck are relative ! It depends how it affects you on personal level
Hard to imagine how anyone could even survive that initially! It's probably not the kind of accident you'd want to survive anyway. No chance anyone's coming out of that without horrible injury.
Clockpie So what does knowing that time frame mean? Will things change in year 21? Often wondered what the point is in announcing an anniversary date. What about year five, or ten?
Witch 1 Just don't understand the correlation. Is 20 years a magic number? Should they only be remembered at end of decades? It seems like cause a certain amount of time passes, it's officially correct to remember them. Weird as some replies of people telling us they took the flight right before that, or they lived next to the airport where it happened.
Alec, Just want to say (again) that your videos are the most amazing pieces of art when it comes to aviation. I would LOVE to know how you do that and what software you use (for different topic/industry altogether) but I don't expect you to divulge and I can respect that. But most importantly, just want to say thank you again and keep up the awesome work. These videos....ALL your videos...are simply AMAZING! Thanks for sharing and all the hard work you put into them! Much appreciated and me and my entire family really enjoy them! Great job bud!
I am so excited to see some young person also excited on plane crashes and just planes in general. Tbh I would love to become a pilot when I grow up, or at least an air traffic controller. I want to because I feel like there isn't as many female pilots as male pilots and I want to change that. Some people say that make pilots are safer; but that's bullshit. I hope I'm still into planes when I grow older, because I love your videos and air crash investigation. And they don't scare me off planes like other people. It actually makes me want to go on them more. Sorry for the long comment, I just wanted to make my voice heard. Thanks Allec for taking your time out of your day to make these amazing videos ❤️
+Zach Spencer Well, actually there are at least 20,000 female pilots worldwide. They are mainly flying on Scandinavian, Asian and Central European airlines, since in eg. USA you have to go in the air force to become a pilot
The most scary thing for me is that the flight number of the smaller plane is 1907, exactly the same of the Boeing 737 owned by GOL Airlines which was lost ALSO due to a mid-air collision with an Embraer jetliner owned by US executive airline Excell Air, above the Amazonian Jungle in September 29th 2006, almost 10 years after the catastrophe depicted in this video. It was Brazil's worst aviation disaster at the time, with 154 lives lost. The coincidences are unreal.
Sarah Riedel that was 1996 and Kazakh planes were mainly Soviet leftovers. India also opened itself to the world after 1992 economic crisis. So the organizations, infrastructure and technology of these two countries were primarily obsolete or in process of modernization. These countries were predominantly socialists with huge spendings on welfare schemes so they had little to spend on these things.
Well, India should at least get a new Air Traffic Controller. Also, this is why every plane (yes, including the IL-76) should have the TCAS system, not the ATC. If you followed the ATC, you’d end up with the Überlingen mid-air collision, or even worse, this.
I agree with +jjourney, I love your videos but I have to turn the sound off when I watch them. Keep up the vids, but maybe find some different background music. :)

I saw a orange🪂 parachute 😓 over a tree prephaps someone tried to escape from crashing plane but failed. I never forgot that horrible night. 😓😓😓

@@EphemeralProductions this crash is what set a president for collision avoidance systems, you should be way more worried about landing and take off than anything else.
It was pretty amazing that people actually survived the initial impact on both planes. Tragic accident and avoidable as well
They died after bro
rip saudi 763 and kazhastan 1907 you will be missed

There were initially survivors? My god, I can't imagine
yeah.. but i guess they didnt have all body parts intact.. thats why they died soon after..
ya that was a high force crash the planes could fire and flew screaming into the ground..
I mean you can but. It all would be bloody body parts missing etc
No
Yeah, that's not the kind of crash you'd want to survive, I imagine. Not coming out of that without some pretty horrible injuries and suffering.
It one engine
in the size of railway couch fall down on railway track.
I feel you, i can't imagine what a horrifying sight it was..
Thank you so much Allec Joshua Ibay for this on fulfilling the request! Bravo and amazing job sir
Damn that Kazakhstan flight pilots who took all of them to death.
These vids make me wanna stay on the ground.
Liz Wynaco yeah me too
Just remember though, all planes HAVE to come down.
Yep, it’s just whether they come down intentionally or unintentionally.
You have to remember that air travel is 100x safer now. Modern technology and procedures/requirements at airlines have practically eliminated these types of situations. Most of the crashes that happen now are from human error.
I like watching these while at the airport waiting gate hahah
Like the videos man! Really good to have detailed explanations of the crashes to see what really happened, keep up the good work!
The 747-100 is the best plane ever built for its time, I like it better than the new versions. The scream of those older gen engines is fantastic.
My grandmom's cousin brother was boarding in that plane almost 25 years ago 😞💔
R.I.P to all those beautiful souls ✨🙏
It is interesting to see this kinda of stuff but sad
same
Awesome re-enactment! Very good detail, almost exactly like the Mayday/Air Crash Investigation TV episode :) subscribed!
As sad as it is it’s kind of comforting to know that most of these technical oversights have been addressed
This year 2020 will be marked as 24th anniversary may the departed souls rest in peace and God bless them with beautiful rebirth
They met in the sky just at the precise moment.... if one little thing had been done differently it would not have happened

purane pappi What's a carsh.
Witch 1 I know. Just joking around. Bringing levity to a sad situation. Easy to typo on these devices. I edit 2/3 times per paragraph.
Did you teach the Russian pilots English?
Terrible accident :(
The soft, angelic, "lullaby"-like music makes this so creepy. Great content as always.
There was no fault of the Saudi pilots.. the kazaks misunderstood or failed to understand the instructions . This is what they showed but maybe the actual story is different
Shahzad Syed that's the original story..
Stop abusing meh Illusyn IL fav plane idiot.

To the passengers and crew of Saudia Flight 763 and Kazakhstan Airlines Flight 1907
How the hell does anyone “initially” survive that?
You better be surprised when I tell you JAL 123 had initial survivors as well
@@m1co294 I don't think it might be easy to compare both planes the JAL plane wasn't smashing to the ground with a dive whereas the Saudi 763 and Kazakhstan 1907 were diving downwards
over 1 million views! man you’re getting so popular.
Had the Kazakh pilots not climbed slightly, it is likely that they would have passed under the Saudi plane.
good job inputing every word from the episode.

. a lot of kids died that day. its sad AF. thank you for this awesome video
Henry Rivera Judging from the location and the airline involved, the passenger list may have included a host of Muslims from both India and Saudi Arabia. I probably might know this because I do have Muslims from India as shoppers at Marianos in Hoffman Estates where I work at.
It took a horrendous accident like this and great tragedy to warrant for the upgrading of radar equipment. This pissed me off.
yes typical lacuna and indolence

Why do i always watch these videos before i board my flight?
I can’t express how much better your newer videos are without the music. The music works perfect in the credits afterwards. Don’t be like TheCringeChannel.

keep up the good work...
I have travelled from Delhi to Shymkent once… Didn’t know it was so disastrous route. Feel sad for all passengers 😞
You earned a new subscriber. These are very sad, depressing, but interesting stories. I really liked your FedEx Fight for your Life video, they NEED to make a movie, or book from that story.
Here's a somewhat off topic question for you - Where do you download FS2004? I would like to use that program, if possible. Thank you
Hi! You can buy FS2004 online.
Allec Joshua Ibay What site, specifically? I do a google search, and there are tons of them. I want to know which is the right one just to be safe, thanks.
GeneralPickleton I can't give you a site since I never bought this online but why don't you try Amazon?
Allec Joshua Ibay I'll give it a go, thanks :)
GeneralPickleton You're welcome!
Some other facts:
1) Illyushin was a military carrier converted for civil usage, as can be seen, the radio operator's bench is located at a weird position, and it is also a known fact that cabin had ego issues, captains and first officers looked at the radio operators with disdain, often ignoring their strong messages
2) Sadly, Saudi plane mostly had poor blue collar jobs people, who were traveling to the gulf in pursuit of a better life for their families, some stories are so tragic that they crack opens the heart!!!
Aftermath:
1) Much of the air space across New Delhi was 'reserved' for airforce at that time, leaving very small corridor for commercial flights, this was rectified later
2) Secondary radar at IG airport was actually present at the airport, just was eating dust in warehouse, without being installed, ironically, it would take another several years that secondary radar could be finally installed
me and my friend experienced a strange phenomena that night when we were out late in the night... something appeared in the sky not very high and we were stunned... we ran after it to see what was up there and it just vanished and sometime later heard this news..not sure if such a mistake can happen and seems some extra terrestrial angle..
The summary of your videos are so great. Tell you everything you need to know.
Passengers before onboarding : “ wow, where so lucky to catch a seat !”
Just before dying: “ how do i get in this situation?”
Luck and bad luck are relative ! It depends how it affects you on personal level
great work, I love your videos
Hard to imagine how anyone could even survive that initially! It's probably not the kind of accident you'd want to survive anyway. No chance anyone's coming out of that without horrible injury.
Thx for making this! I really wanted to know how this crash happened
couldn't' see the items.
yesterday was the 20TH birthday of the crash, rip
You mean anniversary.
Aron Que Marr -Arun Kumar yes i think he does.
I like the music over the animation. Adds ambiance.
Enjoyed your video presentation! Loved the music and the in flight cabin sounds, (hissing,-ac). Excellent.
Allec joshua ibay seems u r biggest fan of Air Crash Investigation. ✈
Nice video, man. Keep up dat good work.
Or if you want to be a better pilot join the Navy.
+Zach Spencer Sam? Sam who?
+LaamaFIN Studios you don't have to join the military in the USA, you just need a 4 year a degree plus all required ratings.
Jake Piazza But it's much harder to do
Im your new subscriber all your episodes are breathtaking. Sad but interesting episodes.
why the music!!!!!!!. the music makes me cry even it did didn't crashed yet

How could anyone have survived that even briefly? Amazing and horrifying.
Initially they survived but only with major injuries its horrifying
5:07 what sound alarm?
This crash happened in my village near a hill in village ramnagar

revenge ppl the 747-100 is Boeing not airbus
It’s supposed to be sad I hear this song whenever someone or something dies
What’s with the nursery chimes?
My God what kind of a modern aircraft has a radio operator?
Sarah Riedel that was 1996 and Kazakh planes were mainly Soviet leftovers. India also opened itself to the world after 1992 economic crisis. So the organizations, infrastructure and technology of these two countries were primarily obsolete or in process of modernization. These countries were predominantly socialists with huge spendings on welfare schemes so they had little to spend on these things.
Allec, I really like the FedEx Fight for you life.... it is really thrilling and bone chilling..... keep up the good work
By the way the music was played too early
Well, India should at least get a new Air Traffic Controller. Also, this is why every plane (yes, including the IL-76) should have the TCAS system, not the ATC. If you followed the ATC, you’d end up with the Überlingen mid-air collision, or even worse, this.
bhavana g Oh... radars...
2nd worst air disaster in history. Great work Allec.
Planes at same altitude a recipe for disaster. It has happened too often.

Very cool channel. The music during the event was very distracting and took something away from the experience. Much better with only the flight sim sound effects, such as engine noise, and the alert sounds. Music at the end is okay, but not necessary. Thank you!
