I will have to say, the finale was amazing on my opinion, some parts might be a little disappointing with Oni Lloyd appearing for 4 seconds but the rest was good. Also my years of theory of the Great Devourer and the Overlord being connected in the story of Ninjago has came true! I been having this theory for years since season 2! I am very disappointed that Lloyd didn't accept his dark heritage. The possible whole reason why the Overlord exists is that a spinjitzu master doesn't accept both their light and dark heritage. Now Lego just gave a reason for the Overlord to return again which is tiring. However, the sacrificing of elemental powers and the "death" of the Overlord might give some time for Ninjago to heal before the return of the elemental powers and the Overlord himself.

    Warning: OPINION BASED
I have to admit, I thought the ending was too clean as well. No one died, no one had any trauma, no one paid for their crimes/mistakes, everyone walked away scott free, and it seemed off. Lloyd's Oni form was cool to see, but its use was pitiful. The trailer hyped up Lloyd using his Oni side so much, and for him to only use it for no more than a minute or 2 is pathetic. The amount of loose ends that were enormous. What happened to the Crystal Council? Where do Lloyd and Harumi's relationship go from here?Where did the golden weapons and the Ninja's elemental powers go? These questions I feel should have been answered. The main thing I would have liked to see, if the main Ninjago story is over, (and I kind of expect all shows with no signs of continuation to include, just a personal thing of mine) is an ending scene set maybe 10-20 years later, seeing the Ninja being old, what they are doing, and possibly the children/next generation of Elemental Masters. Still, it was a good finale, and I just have some minor nitpicks

    • @miniwhiffy3465

Episode 74, "Lost in Time," was actually originally planned to end 40 years in the future, with grown up Ninja and the Time Twins locked away at Kryptarium 2.0. And yeah, I'm not too much of a fan of the clean ending. Someone should have died if not for the original four, and the fact that literally no one has consequences is bugging me out. Nya doesn't have any consequences at all, effectively erasing Seabound's impact from the series, and Oni Lloyd was just wasted.

Crystalized is now officially one of my top 3 seasons! It manages to have a perfect balance of action, emotion, nostalgia, and humour. Episode 29 is my favourite episode of the season, and possibly of the entire series. I believe that the main problem that I, as well as many other people have with the finale, is all of the loose ends (Kailor, Harumi's redemption, Garmadon reuniting with Misako, and more). Especially when we realize that most of these loose ends were introduced in Part 2 (why introduce these topics if you won't address them?).
However, the reason why people don't like the finale so much is because they're looking at Crystalized as the end of the current characters' stories, while it is only the conclusion of the saga. The 2023 series will most likely still focus on the current line-up of characters, and continue their story from where we left off (like how S11 onwards was considered to be a new series). When we realize this, we understand that these "loose ends" are most likely being saved for the 2023 series, in order to gain people's interest in the new series (this definitely is the case for me, I can't wait!). After keeping this in mind, after rewatching the last episode, I was more satisfied with the finale.
In regards to the happy ending issue, I didn't really mind if there was a sacrifice or not (either way would've been okay), so I don't have a problem with no deaths or sacrifices. However, to me, the thing that makes the ending of the last episode a bit to kiddish-feeling was Sally's song playing in the background. It's a good song, for sure, but ending the finale with it, rather than with a more nostalgic song (or a remix of one), along with the no deaths thing, really made the ending feel too kiddish to me. Ending with a remixed or original version of an older, more nostalgic Ninjago song would've made the ending hit that much better for me, personally.

I think that Lloyed should have a dragon form or a golden master form since he didn’t want his oni form. I think that A dragon form for lloyed would be so cool and even better if he had a mix of oni form and dragonform. If lloyed was the golden master on the end we could have a mix of gold green oni and dragon and he could have a scene with the ninjas and him doing the tornado of creation with the ninja doing their final spinjitzu forms. Lloyed doing spinjitzu in golden master form, Gaurmadon doing spinjitzu in oni form, Jay doing air jitzu in dragon form, coal doing the spinjitzu burst in dragon form, Zane doing a blizzard with the scroll of forbidden spinjitzu in dragon form, and kai doing spinjitzu while in dragon form and using his full potential. Then Lloyed could reunite with the first spinjitzu master to have a talk and meet up back with ultra and then him waking up with gaurmadon being cured and then the great devour flying into the sky and evaporating into dust when only gaurmadon can see it, then he plants crystofern and they come back to the monestary and rebuild, then there is a moment where master wu looks around and then looks an the mural and says “remarkable. They deserve a happy ending for once and not a bittersweet one, so i was sort of glad no one was lost. my only gripe is with harumi. i sort of i wish she wasn't "reformed" or well buddies with the ninja now. no problems with her fighting the overlord after finding out he was the catalyst for the death of her parents. but having her friends with lloyd now is...meh. i like her as a bad guy to lloyd. i hope lloyd doesn't go back to her and try to win her heart and move on. maybe be friends, but with no romance.

One thing that really bothered me was when Lloyd and Garmadon were having the talk about the plant. Lloyd went "I'm just a little....Just forget it" we all know he was jealous of the plant AND he has a lot of issues such him saying "being left abandoned and never sending a birthday card" We never got the closure conversation between them and as well Lloyd not trusting his father that was left open to of Lloyd never saying he trusts him now. Maybe they left that open for next season? For they can focus on the Oni Form??? He kept repeating "I'm nothing like my father" because he doesn't want to end up like him. So, maybe they need to have that deep convo for Lloyd wont be afraid.. Perhaps but it was just very annoying to me. I wonder what your thoughts are about this haha.

I think that if this series was 40 episodes instead of 30, it would be 10 times better. Not saying that this season was bad by any means, but like you said, it definently felt a bit rushed for the final 12 episodes, especially the final battle. I do believe it was an amazing fight between good and evil, one of it not the best final battle in all of Ninjago. However, it did process some flaws, such as the Council of the Crystal King. What happened to them? Did they die? Did they go to jail? It is very confusing in that situation and the battle between the Overlord and the dragon definently felt rushed, it didn’t feel like the huge ending we were expecting. I feel like the first 18 episodes of Ninjago are 5 star, but the final 12… still good, but maybe 3.5 to 4 stars. I also wish Pythor had more to do, because he has been here since season 1, and I feel like he should have more of a defeat scene, not just getting knocked out, and having no lines what so ever. Overall, a good final battle, was too rushed and could of used more scene’s, but this season was amazing nonetheless.

Honestly, I'm just overwhelmed. It was so overwhelming. The whole finale. With all the fights and everything , it was awesome. But there are some stuff about which I'm unsure of or disappointed a bit like:
1 ) what happened to kailor? There's literally no dialogue between them being official, just scenes.
    2) okay Lloyd oni, it was hilarious. The way he just gets scared of seeing his own reflection lol. But we were all thinking that would defeat the overlord And it only lasted for like 5 seconds lol.
    3) what's gonna happen to harumi and Lloyd. I feel like that's really crucial. All the time she literally breaks his heart and him, and now they are thing?? I'm really unsure about them being a couple.
    4) it would've been awesome if garmadon and lloyd had some bonding moments. It would've been heartwarming cuz the whole season, we see them either arguing or Lloyd being annoyed by his existence.
    5) I don't think I have a point here lol
Overall this season was EPIC. It had everything, jaya , pixane, llorumi, garmadon, kailor , vinny, all the side characters , action, emotional moments MAN this season is ... just awesome...ive got no words for awesome it was and thank you ninjago creators for giving me this. Except for the Overlord and Mr F every other villain survived and we don’t know what happened to them (not counting Harumi), are they gonna return or be inprisoned again in the next series?! Also cool moment when Overlord revealed that he was behind the great Devourer in the first place but I was kinda hoping for some Pythor/Harumi moment when she would find out that he was behind the Devourer’s attack on the city and maybe a cool fight. Plus I feel like they didn’t use the council as much as they should (I wanted to see more of them). Still, this was an amazing finale and awesome season. Hope we will get some new info soon.

Ye can't lie real shame to end the series still loved the whole thing, but it was hella rushed like even Mosako and garmadon were rushed this is what I believe we all wanted. 1. The original time for each episode. 2. More fight’s but keep the same. 3. More backstory to explain the crystals and vegstone. 4. Lloyd uses oni form for a little more, same for the dragons. 5. The elemental masters join the battle. 6. The ending should have an update on what happens, like the aftermath of what happened to the overlord temple, the other villains and Harumi we needed more of her. 7. For the end credits we should have had a somewhat avengers endgame look-through, like show all the amazing things we went through on the Ninjago series. 8. And also explain to us about the dragon form. 9. And actually bring back 22 min episode, and make the episodes come out weekly like Sundays 2 episodes, making us have 44 min ep of Ninjago content with 30 episodes so the writer can take their time to make the series surpass the sons of garmadon, hunted, and the march of the oni. 10. We also need to see the new trash ninjas say sorry and the mayor gets replaced. 11. Ultraviolet and killos opinion on Harumi's corruption. 12. They also should have had Harumi fight pythor due to him summoning the great devour. 13. We also need to see one last cameo of the ninjas singing the Ninjago theme song. 14. we also needed better titles for the last episode, “roots” na fam could have been better like “ending are not really endings but a new beginning” for something. 15. and the final episode should have the same feel as the end just like season 2 overlord and green destiny. 16. We just needed more dept and experience on this episode and I did not like the fact kai was not as emotionally damaged as jay, jay may be the husband, but you're the brother so that was wired. I know this is long but this is like the whole season. I wanted it to be the best season in Ninjago but it was rushed and unprofessional THIS IS MY OPINION.
edit we also needed more harumi backstory on how she was a good fighter, created mr e, and convinced the people to join the sons of garmadon /ultra violet and killo, AND HOW THE HELL DID SHE NO LLOYD WAS AND ONI AND HOW THE 3 MASKS WOULD RESERECT GARMADON, GARMADON HAVING HIS TURE POTENTIAL BY FIGHTING AND EVEN JUST KNOWING WAY MORE THEN THE NINJAS SHE IS STILL A MYSTERY also needed MORE OVERLORD BACKSTORY CUS HIM BEING THE CAUSE OF THE BITE FOR GARMADON WAS INSANE and also mistake some how she new she was an oni like damn ninjago so many questions unanswered sorry if this is to much but season 16 should have answers even the 16 realms should have something at the end I say they should redo the entire season and maybe we would be proud of it I say if I give this season 68% amazing and the rest wtf

    An Ending Half Full.
When I was watching, I didn't expect what happened to be the End. I was like "THAT WAS IT?" because the homage given to the Overlord as a villain, is too little, as the Final Boss of Ninjago, the true villain of Ninjago.
This is it? There's got to be more. The Overlord can't be destroyed forever, he's got to come back, this can't possibly be his power, he's weaker than ever, and that Crystal King form doesn't resemble his Final Form at all, and he doesn't go toe to toe with Lloyd as he should. What happened to the guy, why isn't he overpowering everyone? More than that, Lloyd's character arc is left unfinished.

The season felt rushed because they had a lot of unnecessary episodes and how they spent a lot of time with horrible comedy they could have spent time not make everything feel
    Rushed

The episodes from crystalized were so good beginning from 1 to 28, but the episodes like 27, 29, 30 has some flaws into it. The episode 27 was focused mostly on Racer 7 driving to NGTV tower, they needed to focus few minutes into driving and other on other characters like Lloyd, Garmadon and fighting with Crystal Warriors. The finale is not what we expected to be, the episode is not longer, we left with so many unaswered questions.. we needed to have scene what happened to council after they got defeated, the overlord is suddenly told garmadon that he is responsible for great devourer and i was thinking that's just a dialogue that they needed to turn Harumi into good side they need to put some dialogue and to overlord told this after. She doesn't apologize in the end for all that she done we needed that scene and more of lloyd and harumi, and we need to see what happened what they done with rebuilding monstarey and city after some months like in the end of season 9, and destroying overlord so fast isn't looking to good, and elemental masters wasn't there, we need more scene with oni lloyd, garmadon and lloyd could destroy overlord for good with these powers, and i don't like the scene when lloyd arguing with garmadon because he faked his death he need to hug him. These are some flaws that's my thought on it

i just finished the eps rn and... I LOVE IT tbh I really never expected this ending and it was really sad that Lloyd didn't accept his oni form but overall, it's amazing I just love how every single person they know was there for them at last. GARMADON IS JUST SO PRECIOUS. idk what else to say I'm just idk... HELP I LOST THE ABILITY TO TALK

I personally wouldn’t say It was “bad” by any means. Yes there were some strange choices and story lines that didn’t really go anywhere. But I still really enjoyed it and I can actually defeat it for a lot of the stuff people have issues with. There’s actually a reasonable explanation for a lot of them

This isn't really gonna be much of an analytic comment (as in I'm not really gonna talk about character arcs or criticisms in depth), so the beef of it is gonna be speaking from my heart.
I liked the ending. The only thing I wanted more out of was Lloyd’s Oni form and a longer battle between the Overlord and the Golden Ultra Dragon, I feel like they kinda cheat us when the ninja survived after they said goodbyes to each other (I get why they didn't, they're like the main staple of the series), and Skales Jr didn't come back to life with all the golden weapons to kick the Overlord's butt to the realm of Chima. But other than that, I thought it was pretty good.
Y’know, I can’t believe that this era of Ninjago is over. So much time of my childhood was me just plopped down in front of the television watching these Lego pajama men fight snakes, robots, and more snakes. This incredible 11, almost 12 year journey was such fun to watch. I’ve seen people hate on the ending, but I like it. Was a good send off to the final battle, and I loved seeing Garmadon finally to be on the side of the ninja. He truly feels happy. Now, I hope the new sequel series next year will do this series justice. And speaking of the 2023 series, I hope it's not centered around what the main 4 ninja are doing after crystalized. Their stories are finished. Lloyd got his closure (and hopefully therapy) and Garmadon is finally good again. So I hope they focus on new characters, whether it be the ninja's kids or some other new characters unrelated to the ninja.
So, I'd give this season of Ninjago a 9/10. The season started out a bit too slow for my liking, and some of the episodes were okay. But the later episodes from 13-30 were awesome. And I loved all the characters that returned towards the end. Also, I know it's a bit cheesy, but I loved how they legit followed the exact lyrics of the theme song to become their golden forms. That moment was so hype, I loved it so much. This Golden Saga (Because of the Golden Weapons connecting the beginning and end) was an amazing journey to ride along with the ninja. I cheered when Lloyd and Zane fought the Overlord for the first and second time, got absolutely destroyed when I said I liked the new designs for the ninja when S8 came out, and cried when Nya became one with the sea. I loved it. And remember, Ninja Never Quit!

I think a lot of things went wrong with this season. This may be a hot take, but:
    - It felt rushed. The first part of the season felt like a drag, the rest was fine, but then the final episode needed more screentime.
    - All that buildup for Lloyd's oni form, and it lasts LITERALLY 5 SECONDS???
    - We got no Overlord Lore at all. Ok, sure, Overlord corrupted the great devourer, but that should've been revealed in Season 2.
    - The end was SUPER cliche and SUPER cheesy. It didn't feel right.
    - Nya got her powers back?? Lloyd immediately forgives Harumi?? Absolutely killed all the character development.

The ending seemed a bit rushed. I wish we got an extra episode or 2 to flesh our some parts. What happened to the city? What happened to the council?

This was one of the best conclusions a show that I've seen, but i don't like that they left us with a "cliffhanger". Hopefully they'll explain it next year.
(The cliffhanger was that they lost their powers, now i know most of you will see this as something that'll help with the plot of ninjago united instead of a cliffhanger, but i still see it as a cliffhanger.)(also, hopefully Lloyd uses more of his oni form since he uses it once for 2 seconds)
