I have enjoyed all of your videos. I can see that THE LORD has you in HIS perfect place as you are doing HIS will by sharing scripture messages. Awesome. May HE richly bless you this day and always. Bill
It looks like I forgot to add a clip explaining about the new beet leaves and why that’s not ideal! So when beet leaves freeze and fall off, they put new ones on and when they do that they burn through their stored sugar supply to create the new leaves. When you see that happen, the beet sugar percentage has likely declined some.
I watched beet harvest in different parts of the US. I noticed that 1 vid had farmers using the same type of trailer that Transystem uses, and they had one side of the piler set up for that type of trailer. Another video had trailers that were taller than the top of a Case IH Quadtrac, and had 6 to 8 axles. It is interesting to see how harvest differs for the same crop.
Yo! BFM! Not sure about today where you are, but I hope just the same that you and Ms Jennie BFM take the time and enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving Day meal just like so many here in the states!! -Bob...
Mitch, how many acres does your family grow and harvest? Do you guys custom harvest? My family used to custom harvest sugar beets in the San Joaquin Valley of California. The toppers would top half the field or be one field, 80 acres, ahead of the diggers. Here in the San Joaquin valley it get HOT, 100 to 115 degrees.
Hey Mitch! Have you guys looked at an Amity harvester or defoliator? I may be a little biased since I work there but I’m always looking to get sugar beet growers interested in our equipment! Would love to hear feedback from sugar beet growers like yourself.
Good luck harvesting your beets Mitch
Been a long time that I saw beets topped and harvested in NW Ohio even rode on one when I was a kid like 55 yrs ago love it

Mitch, we used to lease out our harvested beet fields out to sheep herders. Do you all graze any animals on yours? Seemed to be quite a bit of forage.
