When Charlie Kirk spoke at Boise State University in Idaho, was the man in the crowd asking when they can start shooting people a Democrat plant? Were all of the cheering and applauding people also Democrats? When James Fields rammed his car through a crowd of counter-protesters at the Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville, earning him two consecutive life sentences, do you think he wasn't attacking people? What about the physical attacks and threats at school board meetings? You would have to be either the most disingenuous person or the most dense to type out a sentence that even implies the right haven't been violent recently, both in rhetoric and actions.
I get it, maybe you're ashamed of what your side has become. I wouldn't blame you. But instead of trying to plug your ears and close your eyes to reality, why not cut out the cancer within the right? There used to be a time when sane individuals could look at conservatives as a group and say "hey, I know there are some bad people, but obviously those are the fringe klansmen or neo-nazis." Sadly, due to recent actions, those days are either already over or nearly at an end. The cynical part of me thinks that they were just ignorant of what has always existed. If that's the case, I hope conservative political parties dissolve swiftly so we can go about actually doing something to fix the country.

They are "pro-life" yet champion capital punishment. Given a chance, many a "Christian" Evangelicals would personally & gleefully execute death row inmates...and other "reprobates", I suspect.

I haven't heard anything of the kind from conservatives, but we get it here everyday from "progressives". My favorite is they decide that a Republican suffer some terrible fate for a crime that they said she committed, skip the trial and go right to the punishment. That reminds me about what my grandfather had to go through when the community discovered that he planned to vote Republican. May goodness, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

But we did not need to take up the role of world police like we did. EVERY war or "conflict" since has been based on lies. So angry. I live in Oklahoma and this just gets the people around me whipped into a frenzy. Life here is getting much harder for a liberal.
Have you ever asked why white people are so angry? Why they feel attacked? Losing white privilege definitely plays part, but I don't think it's really major. Slipping from the middle class into poverty, I think, is the major reason why whites are so anxious. Racism is just distraction from class war while top % is pumping $ and power into their pockets.
I honestly think that blacks should enhance their activism with class causes in addition to race. Many white folks already with them ( at least liberals), but they need also become more inclusive and understanding of white problems. It's not just blacks experience problems and inequality. White men are also treated like trash and discarded if they get sick or get emotional problems, can't earn enough money or fail some way.
If lower classes would joint together in class warfare instead of being pitted against each other based on race, gender or religion, then we can expect some shift in solving poverty, education, access to housing and healthcare issues.
@@vg7985 I am an old white lady from Oklahoma. I KNOW why they’re angry. They are my peers. They are afraid. Afraid of all the changes in the world. Afraid of the changing face of America. Literal and figurative. They know their time is up and their power has waned. They are terrified of irrelevance and they blame it on black folks and Hispanics in big cities. As I said, they are my peers. I hear these conversations every single day. They are, as am I, completely sheltered from the bigger world. We live in small towns with less than 20,000 people and the old farmers run the show. Their sons are the bankers and the cops and their wives all run the courthouses. That’s my world. Sounds like you don’t know much about it. I’ve never lived in a town that had a graduating class of more than 100. My whole 60 years. I know rural, red America. I am rural America, friend. While I agree with a few of your points, I know white red America. They are angry and afraid and that makes them dangerous.

I just looked up this excellent black woman and saw a slew of negative headlines about her. I’m listening to her and enjoying her. She makes sense. She’s got a new fan. The other guy, too. Mehdi is always amazing to me. Thank you. I’m getting her book. And looking up Wajahat Ali, too. I’m just a nobody white person in the world. My single mom didn’t raise me to be the way I see whites acting. I’m stunned. I say that and people balk amd scoff and mock me because I was supposed to already know about all the history. But I’ve been buried in problems because of growing up in a single-family home with a bunch of serious problems so I don’t know all of the problems everybody else has. sorry. but I would never put down black people or any other kind of people.
