Garden Tractor Pulling Allegany County Fair 2022

2022 Allegany County Fair Angelica NY. The track was very sticky! It was very, very difficult for the stockers to get the sled moving. The sled operator was helping some get moving which is great for the kids confidence. However the ones that moved the sled on their own got screwed because they let the ones that got the help keep their distance. Which was further than the ones that didnt receive any help. Watch the green lights on the sled, when they stop flashing (our Deere, and Sgt Sweetheart) the sled is in gear and its driving itself to help the tractor get moving. Red tractor was one of 4 that did it all on their own with no assitance, we finished 8th… shouldve been 4th minimum. Meanwhile our main points competitor got 4 tries to get the sled started (youre only allowed 2) got help the whole way and took a first… I would’ve made my kids give the troohy/points back if they didnt rightfully earn them. We expressed our displeasure, and it was remedied for the remainder of the season. Oh well, it is what it is, and a bad day of pulling is better than a good day of work…
