Hey i noticed towards the end you said something about a lift, what is a lift i'm a little new at volleyball

It’s when a ball is “lifted” upwards with an open hand. If the ball is slapped, that’s okay - if the ball follow the hand from bottom to top, that would be a lift. It also normally gets spoken about when a ball is in a setters hands for too long during their set!
