I’m kinda scared to be a poser, I can’t really skate everyday but I’m always trying to improve my tricks, I’m learning how to perfect Ollie and I can last HOURS on it until I land it, sometimes I lose motivation to skate, plus I hate skating alone, I feel like everybody is judging me... so I isolate myself when I can to skate or either i just don’t skate nor just rolling :(

@@Hagol i told you! It gets fun once you get the hang of it. Think of it like a test. Only the chosen ones get to have fun on a board. If you have the patience and motivation, and you get good at those tricks, you are the chosen one. 💪

I pushed mongo for like 2 months when I started skating, got a lot of shit for it, when I started pushing regular I got the hang of it really quick so now I push regular, and since I’m used to pushing goofy mongo I can skate switch regular while all my friends skate switch mongo
Real skaters don’t judge beginners or call them a poser. They would think about how to land a trick if they even have the time to care about a poser of a beginner. Don’t be afraid, all the idiots who call you a poser were also a beginner.
@@Meandino804 In my opinion, you should skate with whatever you have. Although skating in the streets can slow down your board if the ground is rough, it is better to ride with "ok" equipment and not the best terrain that to not ride at all.

I started skating during the pandemic and at the start I had a really good start I learned how to Ollie on the first day but I stopped wanting to skate I got back in to it and I’m having so much fun I learned how to drop in how to Ollie up curbs and go down curbs
Honestly you can be a skater without knowing any real tricks, I was loving skating for 10 years since I was little and all I knew how to do was skate on any surface like a pro cause that was all I thought there is. I don’t do grinds but my board is super scratched up. Im not a poser, just a beginner who messes with curbs. Yet people seem to think that if a scratch isn’t from a rail, then you are a poser.

So I've been skating on and off since May. I've been to the skatepark almost 100 times. I wear a helmet practice my ollies and kickturns and attempt to drop in. Never had a single person call me a poser. I've even had two people help me with attempting tricks. Idk if its a west coast thing but here in ny literally no one is gonna call you a poser or a loser if you are a beginner, wear pads, can only ollie etc. Also skaters are relatively chill I've never even heard one get angry or even raise their voice at someone, granted alot of em are high af but my point still stands.

Skaters are so welcoming when I was first learning some kid from the park helped me learn how to go down ramps he was like 12 I was 7 and that was a moment I remember very well
I don't understand why people call people who don't do tricks yet posers... ahah. These people literally don't understand when you're a fresh new skater even standing on the board takes serious practice and balance. Some of the best shit u can do at the beginning is just standing there ollieing stationary do all them weird tricks people hate caspers promos. What they don't realize is these tricks help you feel out your board and ultimately helps your balance and control in order to move on to the next level of tricks.

at the skatepark I go to practice the boys there are so nice and they help me and my friends and its easier to ask them for help because I've had guy friends my whole life so its easier I guess and not once they have called anyone a poser unless someone is a poser
