Yep, that'll do me. Formation and it's creation/rejoining and maintenance is a thing incredibly overlooked. Once again Req you hit that nail well and truly on the head!! I shall attempt to discipline myself into a passable exponent of the art as much as is humanly possible from here on in!! Cheers mate, another gem!!. I think the 30 degrees rule is literally one of the most useful bits, one that has never really been logged in (especially into THIS raisin - like grey matter!!).
Love these formation vids, would be great to have more and more complex manouvers. Its explained in a very clear manner and i find your voice relaxing lol. Waiting for more vids like these and i hope to see advanced combat manouver involving more than 2 planes.
I wish you would continue this series - I'd love to see something on how elements in a finger-four formation or how to use a Vic formation effectively. Anyway, great vids so far :)
Patrick, I'm definitely continuing this series don't worry! I only have so much time, but #3 will be on the way soon. The whole combat spread, 2 v X stuff, etc will be after that though. I have some of the footage I need already it's just a matter of sorting it so I can present it how I want to
This is excellent, just what I needed, thank you! Do you plan to do guide on combat in pairs? I found it very hard to do, spotting for enemies, awareness of my wingman's position, knowing where I am and where I'm going, etc.
@@RequiemsACTL if you need aditional information you might find this wel explained at, www.benchmarksims.org/forum/content.php If you want, i do have some documents. nice compilation of BFM and ACM.
@@falcon88h Thanks Icarus, I remember Falcon BMS and I think I have an account there but I haven't flown the sim in what feels like forever! I appreciate your offer very much, but I I think I'm ok for documentation right now unless it's something I don't have. I currently have a variety of USAF (T-6, T-38, F-16) and USN documentation as a reference plus a bunch of other period works in WWII if it's applicable to what I'm trying to do. I get to make these videos with an ex-USAF fighter pilot too which is great fun!
Love the formation series. Gets better and better!
