awesome! I was trying to do this with a kid and we estimated that it takes 10 minutes to count to a thousand. And doing it this way we got 19 years...I am wondering if this is a bad estimate? (we did 10 min for 1,000 so 10min x 1,000,000 for a billion--> 10,000,000/60/24/365=~19years).
i counted to 1000 and it took about 9 minutes, which rounding to the nearest 10, that would be about 10 minutes, so 19 years is incredibly unreasonable.

To figure out how long it takes to count to a million find out how long it takes for you to count to one hundred or one thousand, get that time and multiply it by for example, you took 10 minutes to count to a thousand. Multiply ten minutes by a thousand and a thousand by a thousand and you get ten thousand minutes which is about 167 hours which is about 7 days. I feel like my math is wrong because I have counted to one million and it took a lot less than a day to count it.
