Hi, thank you so much for these videos. What do you know about Finlarig Castle, is it open, a good one to see? Unfortunately, Spynie Palace is only going to be open on Sundays and Mondays. Is Spynie Palace worth a 3.5 hours trip from Killin to Elgin and back to Killin? I know it is very pretty through the Highlands. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
Hi Sven Finlanrig is a nice little ruin but quite overgrown and in a remote position. If your going to travel the distance to Spynie Palace then you should spend a few days around Elgin as there are other amazing sites around that area such as Kildrummy, Auchindoune and Duffus Castles. Also Elgin Cathedral is an impressive site to name a few. ❤️🏴
@@thecastlegirl7033 Hi, thanks for the reply. I visited Auchindoune last summer but it was closed off with fencing. It is a beauty. Will it be open by chance? Kildrummy is only open on Thursday-Friday. I plan on seeing Tolquhon, Kildrummy, Huntly, and Findlater in the area. I was hoping to add Spynie , but sadly they have been moving and shortening open days for most of these castles. Thanks!
