What game have you been watching?
Preface: I love Daniel as a poker icon and personality. Always have. But I would never fanboy defend him as a poker player or if he wasn’t good.
That being said, having watched both heads up matches multiple times, Daniel has played better both times. Phil played atrociously in the first match but MUCH better in the second. If you watched both matches, it’s just a factual statement to say that Phil got the run outs every time. I’m not saying Daniel didn’t get ANY or that Phil got them all every time. I’m saying that it would be a lie to say that Phil didn’t get every run out in every game changing and/or game ending situation.
I think they were way more comparable in the second and cannot wait to see the 3rd match if they both play how they did in this second one.

Daniel can't really shove because he doesn't have a lot of bluffs there. The line overbet river and 3betting to a raise is always nuts so we can't go polarized and we have to give our opponent a good prize for hero calling.
Its a wonder with how many big hands Dan won, that he still lost this match. That 8 8 hand to end it was really sick with Phil taking that line and getting very very lucky. Dan should have taken it down.
That wasn't very very lucky. Just pretty lucky. Daniel could have been counterfeited, Phil could have hit an ace, or the rare running flush.
It wasn't race like A-K suited or A-Q suited, but it wasn't like the runout was disgusting and phil was a 1:4 dog.
That’s because they only show negreanu winning hands sheep. See the 3-1 chip lead when a4 vs 88. How you win every big hand and become a 3-1 underdog. There’s no poker career bluff raising nit bets on riv.
Phil was lucky as if negranu knew exactly that phil has ace 4 before going all in. Same way in this spot phil could have pocket 9 to aces. A king to 9. It is a classic coin flip that after showing the cards you see that you are favorite. So in a wag daniel also was lucky that it was ace 4. U don’t understand anything.
Please start putting the date these matches are played in the description. It's kind of getting old you showing old matches as if they were new.
Read the title and use some common sense. Obviously the third game is coming up so they've dropped this video as a bite of hype and a reminder.

Typical PokerGo.. Cherrypicking the best hands from Negreanu and not showing even one in which Phil outplays his opponent. What about the “monster bluff with a busted flush draw to claim the chip lead” that i keep only hearing about? That is not worth showing since it doesn’t favour “DNegz”. Phil won the match and you show just one hand that he took and it was a hand in which he got lucky.. Could you be any more biased? In addition you post the video months after so that people have calmed down about it. People should start giving Phil way more credit, but they won’t because all videos on the Internet show him losing hands and his temper alongside. He outplayed Daniel and you know it. Credit for the good cover-up.

Poor Phil... I was rooting for him, and he played as best as he could. The deck favoured Daniel, that's all, there wasn't much skill or trickery in his play here, rather he just had to figure out how to extract the most amount of chips from Phil.

I dont get why phil is just calling the river with nut boat on the river in a game with no rake, he losing to 1 combo but although he wont be perceived to have any bluffs on the river , phil does do some random stuff so can maybe get value from 8 , and even if he raises and dnegs folds , it will still surely play on dnegs mind not knwing if he got bluffed in that spot or not, am i missing something or what? In a game with rake sometimes it can make sense to not bloat the pot when only called by chop or better but i really think this has to be a pure raise spot, whether he has bluffs here or not, then maybe raise in similar spot down the line as a bluff? I had to leave this comment on after i watched the hand again and realised helmuth had the 8, left it on so everyone can LOL at me including me, mostly me! I felt like i was going nuts and was scrathing my head wondering why the commentators didnt say about it or any comments here about it either, i watched the hand 3 times before i realised the hands were reversed, LOL LOL LOL LOL AT ME

They are both great players. Different players ofcourse but both great. I think Hellmuth would be even better player if he sometimes could keep his cool. He sometimes as we all know completly goes of the rails and starts playing so bad. But he is the best NLHE tournament player for sure.
