OMG - just going back to see the beginings of this channel and what a long way it's come - from paddling about in a tiny wet wooden garage, to your own unit, with heating, lighting, ramps etc. So cool. 🙂
Cool!! Just did the exact same thing to my mk2 TT competition. Found a TTS exhaust, orderd a TTS diffuser and fitted it just like this. Sound is great. You can take of easy without the car making alot of noise and drawing attention, but if you push it (3000+rpm) it sings!:) Make sure the cut you did is tight and sealed. Maybe use some exhaust paste as well with the exhaust clamp. Don’t want it leaking.. Super cool build. Can’t wait for the finished product! Greetings from Norway:)
Hi Mat, this question may be not that relevant anymore for you, but was it hard to swap the non s-line rear bumper with the s-line bumper? I’m going to put a s-line rear to my non s-line TT as well, and I was wondering if it is possible to do without lifting the car with jacks or putting it on a car bridge. Thanks in advance for the reply!
Watching your videos for some time now but just couple days ago realised I didn’t subscribe you! And normally watching from first videos you added - it’s interesting look how everything started for you cause I use to do same things for old Honda civic! Great to watch! Sorry if I miss some likes! 😅
Mat, just bought a twin exit rear bumper, similar to yours. Are you likely to be changing your exhaust? If so I'd be interested in buying the back box you fitted in this video.
Sounds much better then before. Your garage floor is always wet with standing water on the floor, and your bottom framing and walls, and wall studs are always wet. They will rott out and crumble before the termites eat it up. You really need to do something about that or you will have no garage at all.
@@Evan058 i Sold the 3.2 exhaust because in Forums They Said it Sound Make Problems with the Turbo, because its an non Turbo exhaust, so i bought a Fox Duplex, its sounds a Bit better but when you Change the end tips left an right(there r silencers in them) its gets louder
LOOKS like you have a small lake in your garage. Does any one else get allot of smoke when going downhill after fitting an after market exhasut ? I suspect oil runs to the front of the exhaust and burns up thus the smoke on a down hill, its the only time my TT Mk 2 smokes ?
i have a 08 3.2 tt with a aftermarket miltek non resonated exhaust and yours at idle is louder than mine.. my car idles silently with the exhaust.. it makes no sense to me lol
Well I assume it's just stock from backbox upwards nothing looks aftermarket. Has a middle silencer which has a pipe going around it which I've seen on stock TT's before then has another silencer and then the cat. I'll get a vid up of the whole system when it goes for 4 wheel alignment
Hi Matt just looking back over the old videos as I’ve decided to change my exhaust I have the single exit and was wondering can I fit the twin exit without changing the whole bumper and just change the valance if anyone can help would be much appreciated

Hvor kjøpte du eksos og diffuser?
Geir Røstad Diffuser gjennom Møller. Eksosen på finn.no fra en bruktimportert TTS.
stian Øvergaard aarvik ok, takk!
I think it sounded a lot better in the end.

Go on mat. i wish you success in your field
Mat, top video, humble beginnings
Hi Mat. Really enjoying the vids. Great project. I love my TT. Same model .
@Mat Armstrong where did you get the black rear audi logo badge thats curved to fit? or did you wrap the chrome badges to black?
You have motor 2.0 tfsi? Is the new exhaust from a 3.2?
Regards from germany!
The 1st ??? are the flex pipe and the 2nd are the Catalytic Converter. Each bank have 2 cats
Love your vids pal have a mk2 tt myself just resprayed mine fitted all new tts bumpers and skirts also fitted honey comb grille
Sick bro the grill makes a huge difference on looks 👌
How much did this set you back pal? Looking to do it myself.
Hi mate. Great vids. Where and how much did you get your honeycomb grill from👍🏽
Mat, just bought a twin exit rear bumper, similar to yours.
Are you likely to be changing your exhaust?
If so I'd be interested in buying the back box you fitted in this video.
You’ve came so far man don’t stop
Nice mod there Matt. Looking for the follow up with the bumper replaced.
Me too !! thanks...no more sound with this exhaust ?
Hey guys, what is the make of this exhaust? Miltek?
I‘m planning the same mod on my 2007 TT. Is it possible to change the back box without removing the bumper?

This video is 4 years old bro. Thanks though
Definitely more crackles and pops mate 👍🏁
That bumper is just the face lift, my 2009 S Line S Tronic Quattro has a single exhaust rear bumper.
Cool!
Is this a facelift 2.0l tfsi exhaust or a 3.2l exhaust?
sounds nice
It's off at 2.0tfsi bro!
@@punky00uk is it Any louder then stock?
@@punky00uk hm ok just got a 3.2 back Box For my 2.0..
@@ktm6668How is the sound of the 3.2 backbox compared to the stock 2.0 backbox? I would like to do the same mod…

Doing a same build, you know where I could get the exhaust box and rear diffuser from with two exhaust holes
Tell me if u realized that already
What else is done to the exhaust system? It does not pop like that stock...

my stock TT was popping even while idling, but at 4000 rpms it screamed and popped :D
Quick question do you remember what size exhaust clamp/sleeve you used
Pretty sure it was 2.75"
@@MatArmstrongbmx thankyou very much this is my next mod for my tt

Hello !
Need To repro stage 1 or not ?
You are the hat guy
Where you find the s line bumpers ???
is it normal for this much smoke to come out of the exhaust when it starts up ?
Yeah the car is real cold and has been sat there for a while its mainly condensation
What collor is that on youre car bro?
Ruben Abreu it’s Nardo Grey
So just Audi TTS backbox and that’s all? That’s the difference it makes? 😨
what kind of backbox is this exactly
Hi Matt just looking back over the old videos as I’ve decided to change my exhaust I have the single exit and was wondering can I fit the twin exit without changing the whole bumper and just change the valance if anyone can help would be much appreciated
you need the valance from a 3.2 version i did this got part from audi dealer very cheap
Kevin Steele thanks I will look into it now

I'm confused, excuse my ignorance.. I have a 2011 TT 2.0 Tfsi S-line black edition and it sounds nothing like this..
Because your TT has an extra resonator which the „old“ TT don’t have.

Hi Matt could tell me what size the connector was? Doing the same to mine. Thanks
Did you ever find this out? I’m about to do the same 😂
