I really love bioshock infinite and originally the game was going to be super massive having Columbia be more open and having the player ride the skylines to different places of Columbia(for example a separate platform with different buildings would be high able you and you’d have to ride the skyline to access that area)but due to the hardware at the time they had to dumb down Columbia which is why it’s the way it is. Personally I hope one day they remake bioshock infinite and make Columbia more open ended and less linear so you can walk around, explore and ride the skylines to different areas of the map.
I felt that way to be honest. The game felt like it should have been open world. You have a gear system, skylines, quest tracker, and a main character that is a former Pinkerton for hire. Essentially a merc. Seems like you would have been able to take jobs for different clients, like the Revolution or Fink for example. Would also love to see a remake as you suggest.
Replayed it recently and enjoyed it thoroughly. The issues I had were the ones you mentioned, but the atmosphere it presents - especially the "lived in world" parts, with the barbershop quartets, shoeshiners, faires, docks, machines and blimps - is so great, because I love a well made retrofuturism without the ridiculous "steampunkosis" where things are deliberately made HARDER TO USE and MORE FRAGILE just to look cool.
Yeah, the worldbuilding and art direction of the game is some of the best in gaming IMO. Hopefully one day this game gets a sequel because I would love to explore Columbia and Rapture again.
@@AlexAdrift have you played the Burial at the Sea? I finished my BS:I playthrough right before I had the eye procedure and was out of the loop for a month, so I never got to play these, but I just might.
Damn, one of the few games I was on the hype train from the get go & became a launch day devotee for, during my pipsqueak days when I used to be hyped for new games. Nostalgia (for simpler times) PS Cheers from the Netherlands, ya absolute madman!
15:40 man this part actually gave me the creeps, haha. This is my favourite fps of all time, it has some flaws but it's essentially a unforgiving experience, i wish he had more fps games like that nowadays. Ps: You should play the dlcs, burial at sea part one and two, there is the true ending of the game.
@@AlexAdrift i was talking about you saying, IN HELL, but yeah i will say that the DLCs a very controversial, i like them, but i understand the ones who doesn't.
I can see why people disliked the middle of the game, when the rebellion, certain themes, and side characters took center stage. Personally, I would have loved to see these themes come full circle and have a greater meaning myself. I still enjoyed the gameplay regardless.
Do you love Bioshock Infinite? Or do you hate it more than Comstock hates minorities? 🤔
someone who actually likes infinite. The game is phenomenal
Yeah, I thought the game was really good.

Yeah, the ending gives off some sour and somber vibes. And I've heard that I need to play them. Thanks for the recommendation.

Liked it until the clunky heavy handed racial allegories became the whole story like it was done by a kid in middle school
