Growing Strawflower Time Lapse - Seed to Flowers (74 Days)

Time-lapse of a strawflower plant was growing from a seed to blooming flowers. The chosen variety was "Tom Thumb". A strawflower seed was sowed into a pot filled with soil. With regular watering, it took almost a week to sprout. It was then quickly developing into a young plant and forming bush.
Flower buds started from the 35th day, which then fully bloomed into beautiful bright pink flowers. These flowers can retain their shape and color for a long time, in fact, by the end of this video (74th day) and a month after, the 1st bloom is still look the same. This variety sometimes is also categorized as golden everlasting flowers, due to to its longevity. If cut and dry properly, these will be a piece of "forever" decoration.

Actually, we don't have any secret, the potting mix was bought from stores. No fertilizers. However, each type of plants may need a different care, soil, light,... so, we always do a research before planting.
