I also faced same thing.. they are racist towards indians. They also stopped me during going to macau. They do separate security check for Indians.

Hi, can I carry Chinese Yuan & exchange that into Thai Baht after immigration? Can i show them Chinese Yuan? I will be arriving at Bangkok on 5th December & have my next flight to Kolkata on 6th December.
I would suggest get some Thai Baht. I tried to return Taiwanese dollar at the Hong Kong airport and they did not accept it. They want their own local currency and can issue you desired currency. So exchange at the the China airport or carry some Thai Baht in advance.

it is up to the immigration but I have seen the cases where people are able to visit on the fresh passport. I think you should travel but carry sufficient proofs.

you see thisd pecific problem when you travel from Delhi. Second if your surname is singh
could be but what I found they were not able to scan my passport so they took me inside.
Don't go Hongkong, very bad experience with immigration.
