All of these are dubstep/ edm somgs that were played at Lost Lands. All insane how he makes them sound exactly like the song. The super dark one that gave you goosebumps is Maze Of Punishment - Svdden Death. If you wanna compare how insanely close sounding it is.
So-So is just a beast, so creative and original. Everything he does always leaves me in awe with my jaw on the floor. Ever since seeing his crazy GBB loopstation debut been a massive fan!
Bro when this mix dropped last year it was all I listened to for like three days and kept trying to find more and more reactions to it. Glad to see people are still coming across this masterpiece. Believe he did all of this by planning and performing the different parts with a mix probably of looping but also some producing and mixing on the backend with software. Beatboxing has evolved beyond just boots and cats on a mic into this kind of industry of its own full of young and talented producers, DJ's, rappers, songwriters, etc., many of whom possess more than a few of these skills at a given time. Like you said, homie should just change his name to SO-Skilled. Another well known producer in the scene is Hiss. His video "Who Cares" with him and Alexinho is pretty much all beatbox, it's just mixed and mastered perfectly with some reverb and stuff.
By the way comment #2 because well the algorithm loves that sh!t anyway: Around 11:28 if you catch why that's one of the most dead on to the original its likely because So-So has cited Rezz as one of his biggest influences for a long time now so I think he dedicates just that bit of extra time to reproduce her sounds. I think there was a version of one of her songs that So-So did that even got her attention and Rezz to follow So-So on twitter and the guy was over the moon about it, so nice to see such wholesome stories on twitter vs well, you know what's usually there.
I remember on your Inkie vs So-So vid you said how So-So was also in the same, very electronic style as Inkie a couple of days ago and I was thinking 'Wait till he hears Lost Lands medly' Also the thing I really like is that while he is very good at doing the production needed, the surprising thing is that some of the sounds you'd think are the most produced are actually *the least produced* as he has pulled off some of those insane lasers sounds and such when doing just a capella beatboxing solo or with Sarukani and in some other videos in fact, he always surprises the crowd on how good some of this strange sounds well, sound, with just a microphone it's uncanny and kind of his signature a few years back but well, I feel being utilized to an even bigger effect in this mix
He is part of a four-member group called SARUKANI, and all four of them, including SO-SO, are outstanding beatboxers. If you like, please take a look at the video of the 2021 GBB video preliminaries. This video was unanimously chosen by all the judges as number one. 😆👍
Always fast at the video's and the uploads but I'm to slow to catch you live on Twitch. You have a schedule for livestreams? EDIT: I went to GBB '21 in Poland and had the pleasure to chill with So-So and the rest of Sarukani, Jackpot etc. They are so chill, open and lovely people. So-So a real genius in real life aswell, his comedic timing and humor is way to funny!
oh my f***ing god!! So-So just activated whatever is a level above beast mode. About as insane and majestic as I've heard him, unreal talent. I can't stop laughing but then I immediately switch to jaw-dropped mode when a new drop hits like thunder in the face! Just amazing ladies and gents :D
Re: looping vs producing. Looping has gotten so crazy that for GBB 23 it had been split into 2 categories: looping (just the loopstation) and production (loopstation plus other devices) This should hopefully lead to more balanced battles.
the sad part is people don't know the difference between beatboxing and producing, most people believe that everything they hear comes only from a beatboxers mouth without sound manipulation aka production with fx's - voice sample processing
OK... First off, that was more lit than Vegas. Secondly, I'm now craving a field, a couple of thousand party heads, a 10k sound system, one mic and So So... LET'S GOOOOOOO!
You are probably not gonna see this but i found out about neurofunk like a year ago and im in love with it ever since. I would love to hear some of your favourite tracks if you dont mind sharing.
Dang man I just had to hit this one up again. Thinking this guy's my favorite overall. Tho I think each artist has their own flavor & strengths & styles, this guy's just above n beyond really stand out diff sound almost like I said 1st time "non human" imo Just almost hard to believe it's not instruments
Omg is this guy actually human?? Wow absolutely 💯 frickPeeicking amazing!! Btw new descriptive word I've picked up but I know you'll catch my meaning lol 😊 And like for real tho that Waldo comparison was hilarious & spot on 😂 but I totally love his comedic factor & the back & forth transitions from the light heartedness to the dark side was badass**too....quiet well put together & this mans sounds tho....Anthony I swear I don't think he's human lol phenomenal what sounds he's able to achieve it just doesn't seem possible to me... unbelievably amazing !Now this guy...💯 has blown me away .... he's even surpassed Show Go which is top 2 for me personally in what artist I've gotten familiar with getting back into the recent scene of beatbox again You've introduced so much great content I really have had fun.with and really enjoy. Dude I'm about to check this guy to see more of what he brings like right now.his energy is motivating and got me curious where I can find me some more ..very f dope I mean(dopamine) ahh another wordplay ohh lol
just curiosity how much of this do you feel is a altered in a sound program to amplify the sounds vs what it actually is? not trying to take away from his talent cause it is amazing. I just don't have the knowledge or understanding to an expert level.
If you liked those "dark drops", you should listen to their authors! Marauda, RZRKT, Vastive, Svdden Death, Sullivan King, Perry Wayne... I could be doing this all day bro 😅
The combination of beatbox and producing is not easy to do well. Once you get deep into production it's easy to start thinking: well why limit yourself to vocal sounds? This is why. Limitations breed creativity and SO-SO has creativity for days
Saro type level.Just in how to produce and almost at the same Saro-level in term of looping and being vocally(MB14 have higher points there, though. The latter thing) INSANITY...Might already my hidden most favorite sound/digital producer in a social-media-context.INDEEEED,mannn.. ✌👍💪🌈💎
I am happy that so so didn’t perform this in competitions if he did so he will become the lucifer of beatboxing and other performers will resign from beatboxing 😂
That "oh this shit be hittin different" is an actual edm song I forget which artist but he remixed it fuckin perfectly... and trust me it's hard as fuck to mimic that beat, I personally practice more than he shows but it's hard he did the easiest part lol
I like him he is a really good producer and performer but this is not beatboxing it's production from his beatbox samples. Take away all the fx's and it will sound $hit, I'm just staying real - grounded. He can also beatbox really well but if people can't tell the difference between raw beatboxing (from his voice) and sound production (sampling and sound manipulation) I'm really sorry.
this is by far one of the hardest beatbox videos ever. SO-SO is insane but this just nuts.
All of these are dubstep/ edm somgs that were played at Lost Lands. All insane how he makes them sound exactly like the song. The super dark one that gave you goosebumps is Maze Of Punishment - Svdden Death. If you wanna compare how insanely close sounding it is.
God that sub bass at 6:46 just rips up my ears in the best way
So-So's genius lvl is out of this world.. he's build different those dark bases. And he's style icon just like Show-Go.
That sound at 4:24 is his special sound, live it hits insane, probably my favorite beatbox sound
as someone who listen to dubstep and is familiar with Lost Lands, this was amazing to watch when it came out and recognizing all these songs!
So-So is just a beast, so creative and original. Everything he does always leaves me in awe with my jaw on the floor. Ever since seeing his crazy GBB loopstation debut been a massive fan!

My god so-so is so insanely talented its crazy how good he is
SO-SO is my absolute favorite looper, hands down!
I remember on your Inkie vs So-So vid you said how So-So was also in the same, very electronic style as Inkie a couple of days ago and I was thinking 'Wait till he hears Lost Lands medly'

His vocal fry is actually inward, it’s the same as the outward but you can but more air into it and control it more
Dang man I just had to hit this one up again. Thinking this guy's my favorite overall. Tho I think each artist has their own flavor & strengths & styles, this guy's just above n beyond really stand out diff sound almost like I said 1st time "non human" imo

You can also use Comic to describe a Comedian, English is weird
yes I believe the word stand up isn't used anymore because some comedians in wheelchairs got offended
