I like the series but I have to criticize the writing slightly. I have worked as a dispatcher before and the "Does this sound like a prank call to you" is pretty bad. No dispatcher would ever assume an officer down call is a prank. All calls are presumed legit
Yeah, the writing is just a tad off. The audio mixing also confuses me, cuz everything is kinda on the same level, so I don't know if someone just appeared by the side of the camera or if it's picking up dialogue down the hall
I love how both Spectre and MatPat have no idea how the police force works and it’s really entertaining I say this with parents who are both retired state police officers who have been in scary situations where someone they knew died
He said one cop was severely injured and he himself was chased off with pretty heavy weaponry. Them being scrappers isn't really why they're sending all that stuff lol.
This is my one complaint with watching Mat react to anything. He regularly misses the forest for the trees. - Man, the police must really hate scrappers if they got here that fast! - Completely ignores the fact an officer was potentially killed and the assailants are armed with machine pistols. - The fact malls are big buildings so of course they would take up a large part of your field of view.

Wasn't Sam here before? In the episodes where the lighting was off and Ash couldn't make it? I think they're just training him properly since those episodes apparently caused a lot of anxiety due to Sam being unfamiliar with the way Ash sets things up, and July being around the corner and that being a pretty busy month for Ash and Mat where they're gonna be out of sync for a while.

Breaking into places to "scrap" is pretty common actually. At least where I live. Worked at a scrap yard that regularly dealt with people bringing in stolen pipes, AC parts, etc. Might be more common up north though.
I just think they're teaching him the ropes since next month will be pretty busy for both Mat and Ash, so they won't be in the same room very frequently. Ash got pretty peeved about how he handled things last time they had to leave lol it was funny. They talked about how the lighting was all off, and how he kept talking to her like "I pressed a button and everything broke send help" or something like that. Hopefully July will be a less stressful experience for everyone. (It freaking has to, we have Security Breach: Ruin to get through)
I was worried about that but I imagine based on how Ash's schedule seems to have been quite busy it's just a case of building resilience within the team. We do it all the time where you make sure at least 2 members of the team are trained on every process, to try ensure there's no chance of an issue when one goes off on holiday.
I had a camera that had a SUPER loud zoom in and out as well. It wasn't loud while I recorded, but I guess the mic is right next to the lens and picks it up very well
The best thing about this is we got so much background info and tips on how to identify and survive in an abandoned building whilst being chased down by murder bots for a rather long duration of time. I would still have immediately died, but atleast I'd have the ability to tell if I was bleeding out in a 60s mall or an early 90s one.

You should play the game Killer Frequency. You play as a radio host and have to help people calling in to escape a killer on the loose. It's kinda similar to Do you copy?, but a bit longer and more exploration. It's very fun!

Two things here: 1) "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" was great. 2) "Persuasion" is a fantastic story, it might just be my favorite of the bunch, and is certainly FAR from the bottom of the barrel- though I am also quite partial to "Sense and Sensibility". I do like "Pride and Prejudice" generally, though as far as adaptations are concerned only Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth will do.
