Option for a 1/2 tower second station? Option for head? Through hull transducer?

26ft I could live with but would rather have something a little larger and something with a head. I have a question about this advertisement. It is advertised as a hybrid. Tell me what makes this boat a hybrid?

The ability to do inshore and offshore along with great family usages. We now have a larger console for the 2025 model to accommodate a head.

8-6 beam on a 26' cat? Costa is 10'. Big difference.

Yes, one can be towed without a permit, the other can not.

Gunnels are too low on Costa. I would feel uneasy in a Costa with large swells

@@thaisoverthehill All you have to do is a little research 1,"The Calcutta 26, Prowler 25, Americat 27 and the Falcon are more offshore capable hulls than the low Seacat 260 imo. They will also resell a lot better too. I love the Prowler 25, but I do wish it had more open deck space around the LP and was a little softer ride. The Calcutta is really the top 26 to buy in her class." 2, "An industry colleague of mine ran both the Prowler and the new Sea Cat and I personally know the Prowler is a phenomenal ride for it size. But my colleague thought the new Sea Cat hybrid was dangerous and low in freeboard when it came to offshore fishing. I cannot share his name but he said with twin 300's it was unpredictable and the captain better know how to run it. I have another friend that ran it and loved it but they never went offshore as they ran it around in the bay during the Miami Boat Show. IMHO it is a pretty boat but the Prowler is by far a better bang for the buck." 250k FOR A BAY BOAT IS A LOT. All quotes taken from The Hull truth Forum. I am not the only one that feels it's over priced. P.S. opinions are like assholes everybody's got one and most of them stink.

@cycole9690 wow what a response. Yeah it is your opinion. I personally like the twin vee better than those and would like the Costa 10' beam (other than its price). Heck I would get a 28 freeman if I was spending that. The sea cat is my favorite over the twin vee. It is capable of going well offshore. I take my 19 bay 50 to 60 nm off mexico beach quite a lot. I just don't do it stupidity. I have been out and next thing you know 6 footer are there. It's about how the captain handles it.
But thanks for everyone's else's quotes.

@@thaisoverthehill I like the 24-ft Eastward. I believe Dave East was involved with Twin V back in the day., I believe Dave's retired and somebody else owns Eastward now. But his 24 is a copy of the Kevlar cat out of Australia. I believe it has a 9-ft beam and is actually 27 ft with the bracket. I currently have an 18-ft sea cat, I also use it in the Gulf of Mexico but I go to The Sandbars and spoil Islands off of Pinellas and Pasco county more than I go fishing. It does great in the golf chop as long as you realize it's only an 18-ft boat. And I totally agree with you. Boat size does not come into play until over 35 ft. It's all dependent on the Captain and a properly loaded boat. Cheers and happy boating!

Nobody I mean nobody wants a 2 piece boat that expensive.
