- That's right everyone; I have ALL of the new Bionicle 2015 sets now! Yaaay~!
So here's a video featuring all of the new "Generation 2" Bionicle sets so far. I actually got most of them back in late December, but took me a while to get the rest of the sets. If you'd like, you can comment on who your favorite set/character is.
I like to think that this is an alternate universe. It helps me cope with the fact that LEGO decided to make Lewa a Jungle Master instead of an Air Master.
It feels so good to see these guys after so long. I'm really hoping for a new Takanuva and Makuta set.
I'm glad that bionicle is back, and even though the build system isn't my favorite, they did a decent job making it feel like bionicle. I just wish the colors where a little less fucking chaotic.

Since early childhood I loved Bionicle. I still have my big box, though. These new Bionicle sets are..Just different. I really wish they'll bring the old style back.

they look nice I am going to take them. A reboot was kinda needed for it to come back due to the fact they never stopped world building and kept expanding so much that you need a degree in it to make heads or tails of some events.
Aesthetically I am tied between Pohatu and Ouna, for my favorites mainly for the resurrection of brown and purple as well as their aesthetic: Pohatu is brown, his mask looks the part, and he looks athletic too. Onua looks pretty on model with his original model and unlike Sonic Boom's Knux, he actually uses his bulk for something other than showing off(I have never seen knux ACTUALLY USE his ridiculous mass). Back on topic the mask could not be better and the weapon is PERFECTLY suiting.
On the flipside we have Gali and Lewa. It mainly lies in their masks: it almost looks like some design concepts got accidentally swapped between them, the result leaves the masks with confused identities. Though in Gali's case her mask looks too similar to the Protectors and it almost seems there were going to be individual masks for them but it fell through leaving her with little to work with. Lewa is just kinda bland and I am confused as to what went on.
A HUGE downside for Lewa is the change from being the Spirit of Air to Master of Jungle, it just does not fit with the theme the other 5 go by: which are the primal forces and well the equation just does not work without air to create rain or hail.
Jungle is not a counter-balance to Earth in fact 4 of the Toa: Tahu, Kopaka, Ouna, and Pohatu can beat him with ease. Tahu can burn things, Kopaka can freeze things, Onua can uproot plants, and Pohatu can crush them.
Very cool! I'm most likely getting the Toa, at least. But, I'm not much for the Protectors, personally. But, the Toa look very cool, especially as a team! It was a great idea to include the Toa's golden masks in their sets as well. A great addition, specifically from a collector's point of view. Plus, I don't have a problem with the use of the new CCBS building system. Good job, Lego!
Tahu and Protector of Earth are my favorites.

So great! Got all the sets except for the protectors (not interested in those guys). Onua will be coming in the mail Wednesday. He surprisingly, was the hardest for me to find in my area!
The protectors are actually great sets. I personally like them more than the toa
i checked the site and have to say that they need more and stronger bad guy's as soon as possible

I like the lord of skull spiders best. He just looks like the coolest and most insectoid of the bunch. I like non humaniod things in Bionicle. Please comment on this Kylernuva135, it would mean a lot. P.S., Who's your favorite?

Gali used to be my favourite from this sets. On the older sets it was Kopaka, but I think here he just looks ugly, sorry for those of you who liked it but as a die hard fan of Bionicle I don't like the designs too much. Hope they bring the old building instructions back.

Lol. Anyways, I've also decided to not buy anymore 2015 sets because I have decided to keep my money for G1 parts, because I want to go more on MOC's.

i hope they bring back the "friction pin" style of building soon because though these are great figures i still am not the biggest fan of the "Armour plate" style
I see your point; personally I hope they use both the "Armour plate" and "friction pin" styles evenly.
Next year the system's going to be a balanced combination of hero factory (ball and socket armor plate style) and Bionicle (friction pins and very unique builds, like the protector of fire as an example). Right now Lego is scraping up what they have from the bottom of the barrel

They look ok, or at least look like proper Bionicle. Though, I hope there's going to be some proper makuta...these skull spider things don't look so impressive. Oh, and onuha looks....yeesh...guess he's been lifting ever since hero factory took over.

I really do like these things, I just hope we get a good story to go along with it... that was my big issue with HF, the story was so paint by numbers and booooooring!
What? Story? HF didn't have a story. It was literally bad guys vs. good guys and then that's like that's it.

Ok you have to think of you were a company you want to sell to kids not adults or teenagers said nice it will sell more to children. And this new generation is for the new generation. Hero factory peices are a system like the techic system is something and the classic brick system is another. cCBD is the system for action figures. It is small still but it will grow. The children and now using CCBS not the bionicle/technic system. Just get used to this new building system. It's for the kids not you after all
I like how they made every toa unique in its appearance. Back then the only differences were color, mask and weapons. They've still overdone onua though. Like, seriously.
And sadly, I really, really dislike the new rahi/makuta. Its so bland, small and outright boring. And what are those new 'skull spiders' supposed to be, new kranas ? Somewhere a borok is cringing.
The matorans look nice enough, they match their element. Too bad they're all wearing the same mask though. I wonder how the turaga will look like ...
Alright, enough nerdtalk for now. Just had to express my joy through this kinda 'analysis'. Also, still waiting for that damn sequel for the latest movie.

I think the spiders are here simply so the toa have SOMETHING to fight, and then later on we'll be getting the actual villains... a queen of the skull spiders in the vain of Roodaka or something...
