First time watching, Your children are beautiful... Do you not grow a large garden to help with food costs? I'm feeding 5 adults in our household and we live out of our backyard garden. Raise a few chickens and ducks for eggs so we spend maybe $125 a month to supplement what we don't grow or raise. We cut out all processed foods , sugars and cook everything from scratch. Sundays is bread, bagels, tortillas or naan bread and rolls baking day as well as batch cooking for the week. We do lots of breakfast burritos or mini quiche that we freeze for the week. Snacks for us are popped popcorn, dried fruits, nuts, pickled eggs, trail mixes, yogurt parfaits and lots of veggies we harvest in the backyard. I totally understand all the convenience items with a large family. I love the bar towels from Costco. I do use them in place of paper towels and wash them as needed. I also made a bunch of flannel napkins from some flannel sheets I got at the goodwill. The flannel napkins I made work great on our swiffer for easy clean up on the floors. We only use a mix of vinegar, water and some essential oils on the floors. Cut them to size and hemmed the edges. They last forever and wash up beautifully. We grow Luffa every year so we make all our own sponges for bathing as well as washing dishes and general cleaning around the house. Costco has the best rotisserie chicken and makes the best chicken salad. Your pantry looks wonderful. Enjoy the summer with the children.

I myself had a troop as well and until the kids got older there was no way my husband and I would’ve had time to do all that plus take care of so many littles but it’s an excellent idea to slowly add it all in 😊. We eat a lot of fresh home-grown veggies, I buy more grown turkey than any meat sometimes if I have extra in my budget we buy the 3 pack of wagu ground beef at Costco. Snack, we eat a lot of fruit and some ice cream. My go to Snack is banana chips and dark chocolate mixed.
The best chicken salad I have ever had was when I was in the hospital one time. They had celery, grapes, pineapple tidbits, canned mandarins, slivered almonds and coconut. The best thing I ever ate in the hospital! Since then, I have added some different ingredients at home, canned diced mango, and roasted salted sunflower seeds. I bet your kids would like your own version using some of these ingredients. With mayo to mix it together.
Fun to convert these prices to CDN. We crossboarder grocery shop occasionally to get "different" products. But, the prices are pretty comparable with comverted
I leave the fruit out on the counter for the kids to eat up as much as they want and then once it starts to show signs of going bad we either peeled the bananas and bag them and freezer baggies or we make homemade banana bread and if there’s a ton of bananas will make extra and then just freeze those loaves or muffins And then there’s apples or blueberries. We will also cut those up and bag them and put them in the freezer and then they’re ready for us when we need them. I hope that helped💖

2,445.95 yikes! The only other big family channels I watch are Just The Bells 10 & they own a Farm..grow vegetables, have their own chickens & eggs..they also have a Concrete Business as well. All the kids work the businesses & one also works at a local grocery store. Mom Heather does buy meat at the Store when on sale. But they do buy a whole Cow as it is cheaper & her freezers & pantry are well organized. There is no waste in this family!!! The kids help out w cooking & cleaning as well!! They spend a fraction of this! They ALSO feed the girl friends & bfs..so they have about 14 ppl...also Our Tribe of Many..they are a both Pastors in Nebraska...they make alot of their own bread etc. But not certain how much they spend. But they too have many ppl. ❤
My grandchildren like kool aid pies. You just mix one packet of unsweet kool aid with one can of sweetened condensed milk. Then fold in 1 coolwhip and pour in pie shell. Chill until set. Lemon is our favorite.

There is a documentary about the beginnings of Aldi. It all started in the economic crisis of 1913. At that time, Albert's mother ran a small grocery store. Because there was high inflation in Germany, not everyone could afford these groceries. So, the customers had them put in the store's bills. At the end of the month, little Albert was sent to the customers to collect the money they owed, with the words that he shouldn't let himself be fobbed off. When the brothers got older, they opened their first, somewhat larger store, where they agreed a fixed price with the farmers, which was a tough deal for some. Those were the beginnings of the ALDI family.
Have you ever had cashiers that for some reason get annoyed with leaving items in boxes at check out? Ive done that a few times where I put everything into boxes or leave items in boxes to make the cashier's life easier and my life- but they get mad and tell you to take everything out of boxes and then put them on the belt. They get nasty about it too- you have this problem before?
I think when I first started going to Aldi years ago. Now I know each person that works there so I know what they prefer. If there is someone new I just ask before I unload the cart what they would like me to do. That way there is zero confusion. ❤️

Hello 👋 Yes If I end up buying them in bulk wise like buying more than we would eat within seven days or so then yes I will take whatever is left or knowingly. If I’m buying a lot I will just put them in big freezer baggies and divide them up then I will freeze them for when we are ready to use them. The fruit that I have chose to froze before I haven’t had an issue with like bananas, blueberries, strawberries, apples, and it’s been really nice to have on hand when we run out of the fresh.🙏❤️✨ hope that helped!😊

Ive done that a few times where I put everything into boxes or leave items in boxes to make the cashier's life easier and my life- but they get mad and tell you to take everything out of boxes and then put them on the belt. They get nasty about it too- you have this problem before?
I think when I first started going to Aldi years ago. Now I know each person that works there so I know what they prefer. If there is someone new I just ask before I unload the cart what they would like me to do. That way there is zero confusion. ❤️

Do you freeze your fruits until you’re ready to eat them?
Hello 👋 Yes If I end up buying them in bulk wise like buying more than we would eat within seven days or so then yes I will take whatever is left or knowingly. If I’m buying a lot I will just put them in big freezer baggies and divide them up then I will freeze them for when we are ready to use them. The fruit that I have chose to froze before I haven’t had an issue with like bananas, blueberries, strawberries, apples, and it’s been really nice to have on hand when we run out of the fresh.🙏❤️✨ hope that helped!😊
