I should add a disclaimer that although I do play all supports and have played all of them in competitive at a Grandmaster level, Baptiste and Lucio specifically are my lesser played supports, which is why their tips are rather simple. I would like to start working on these 2 heroes more though so I can more confidently give proper advice related to them. All other supports I'm fully comfortable and confident on. None the less I hope these tips are helpful and I hope you enjoyed the video! Please excuse that the background is both PC and Console gameplay, I tried to use clips that would be relevant to the tips, so I used recent gameplay from both platforms.
I'm guilty of the rotating discord orb. Makes so much sense to keep it on someone and put more pressure on them. I guess it's like dunking someone underwater (dark I know) but one second versus a minute is a big difference. I'm definitely gonna be altering my game play
@@Andriatic Had an an open queue game and they picked 3 tanks. We lost first round because they just out lasted us. I went Zen and kept your advice in mind. We DESTROYED them 2nd and 3rd to win the game! ♥
Tree of Life has so many uses it's very fun. Yes mostly you think of it as an ult to heal your team midfight but I've used to block highnoons by placing it right in front of McCree or teammates i want to save, to block Los after grav, to cancel Sigmas ult (you can cancel it by placing the tree right in the middle of his void ult), or to block rein shatter (once accidentally, im not good at reacting to his ult ha). So it can be very versatile!
Lifeweaver is very fun... For everyone but your teamates, cant tell you how many times I've been griped into death, or been blocked from safety by a pedal or tree. Got locked in a room with a nano rein the other day, thanks LW.
look for rein charging in aggressively or walking toward you with his shield up the great thing about his ult is you can have it out while not casting it so you can react faster to the hammer down line most reins are very telling when they’re about to ult until you get into high rank play
Best brig tip I’ve heard, new to the game and been watching tips for everything and been struggling to get info in on brig and you explained it well for me
mercy tip: dva is almost always a bad res, she gets revived in her small form, and has to charge her ult to do any damage. it would be faster for the dva to spawn with her mech and fly into the battle from spawn

how to know to mix quick scope and other modes. How to keep good aim but weaving heal shots with bap, they say u should shoot, heal, shoot heal but it messes my aim too much. Does inspire stack?
With Ana Quickscoping I do it mostly when repositioning, and use unscoped on close targets and scoped on farther targets Bap yeah you want to do shoot/heal combo if it messes up your aim you just need to play with it a little more and get some experience. And no inspire doesn’t stack, inspire heals for 5 seconds and then deactivates. If you proc inspire again within that time it just resets the timer back to the 5 seconds.
Hey I just got into diamond support and I appreciate this video but wtf do I gotta actually learn team comp now because iv made it this far with no fucking idea what I’m doing just a gay Moira or brigette. I lose every game in diamond but plat 1 I win every game so please someone help cause this game used to be fun and now I have anxiety…
Cannot recall anywhere in the video I said “mercy tech” Even if I did, just because Mercy is the easiest hero in the game doesn’t mean she can’t have “techs”, pretty much all heroes have techs unique to them that people need to master.
I haven’t had any issues with volume in past videos and I’m not sure what the issue would be here but I will keep it in mind for future videos. I’m not sure if it had to do with your speakers but on my phone when I watch through the video I can hear everything clearly on a normal volume but I’ll def look into causes for that

I feel like too many Ana tip guides brush over the scoped shot as this situational thing that you need to be super careful with. While that is somewhat true, you should *always* be looking to put yourself in a position where you can hold the scope for as long as possible. Quick scoping and no scoping are suboptimal shots that you should be able to fall back on when you’re in a suboptimal position, not shots that you should be wanting to use frequently. I’m not saying this in contradiction to your tip, just a deeper exploration of it because I see way too many Anas way too close to the fight because they’re afraid to use the hard scope
I agree overall, but my tip is mostly for those that hard neglect quick scoping which I personally think is an important aspect of her kit. I do think positioning is the most important part of Ana and it’s def one many players struggle with but didn’t include that in the video cus I already chose to talk about positioning for brig and honestly Ana positioning mistakes/do’s and don’ts is a whole vid on its own lol
I'm already learning so much and I'm only up to Bap lol. Really great job on this! I knew about the quick scoping but my eyes aren't great at adjusting from close to far very quickly so I didn't use it at all in the past. But the idea of weaving it in now and then to heal a but faster in a rough situation seems worth it to practice. I have a feeling every hero is going to be good information so I'm gonna go back to watching but thank you for explaining it well but also picking such helpful info ♥
good stuff! i think a nice guide you could make is which supports work with each other well. i see so many people going mercy lucio or mercy zen and wondering why it doesn't work. a lot of people don't know the difference between main healer and off healer (also main support and flex support but i think those things are not really important for people who aren't in OWL) so a guide about that will be great!
Yeah that’s a good idea overall. The main support and flex support thing is yeah really only important in Teamplay or owl level stuff and honestly anytime someone mentions it people who don’t understand it get unreasonably mad at it LOL

I disagree that Bap's Regen Burst is instant as there will be times you will die middle of the animation related to the skill... So basically, it is not instant, but pretty fast. Similar case with Brig, but this time the shield isn't tied to animation, but the fact it isn't a frame 1 shield like Reinhardt's shield.
Once it activates it’s instant but it has an initial wind up animation from when you hit the button just like Ana’s sleep dart for example (Bap raises his fist then closes it, and then Regen activates) IF it activates, then the healing is either a burst of 50 or 100 HP based on your targets health which is instantly applied to the target which is what I am referring to.
@@Andriatic I get it, just the difference of what one calls instant. But yeah the healing recieved from healing burst after the wind-up animation is instant as I agree with that.

I would love a support with a bow. Like he/she could have different arrows to help the team. Maybe a discord type arrow or maybe the same effect as Ana nade. Freeze arrows👁👄👁 Like all they can switch between different arrows then every arrow shot builds up freeze and slow their movement or one shot cooldown would be fine to
A cool thing you can do for lifeweaver on console is to change his controls to weapon swapping and then make the button to switch weapons be press right joystick. Then make melee press left joystick
Personally I don’t like his weapon swap button so I use his primary/secondary fire weapons, for heroes I weapon swap tho like Mercy, I use X to swap weapons and moved Reload to the D-Pad. I use left stick to crouch on all heroes
@@Andriatic i actually use the x (nintendo layout) to swap weapons and put the ult on the dpad, simply because secondary weapon completely removed lifeweavera ability to dash on the ground, which definitely has saved me in situations that i definitely wouldve died in if i had to use the extra time to jump first
Something I always see mercy players do is Rez from the first angle they get to. That is just shifting to a soul and pressing the button immediately. But you have 360° around the souls to choose from. Maybe rezzing from behind or to the side of a soul will give you more cover. You can even rez from above or below. You can often Rez from awkward angles making retaliation from the enemy team impossible.
Small general tip I have for low rank supports as well, shooting the enemy and healing your team has its own balance to value, healing too much is missed out damage and that damage could have prevented your team from taking damage. On the flip side, healing your team is part of your responsibility, do heal when necessary. Ofc mercy will be blue beaming/healing more while zen players shoot more but each hero has their own balance that you must find.

Brig low rank problem isn’t that they want to front line…it’s that they are forced too, do you know how many tanks hide behind supports in low ranks ? Like fr the main issue supports face in low rank is horrible tank who don’t understand their role.
I play both platforms yes, although I fully swapped to PC a few months ago (may play console occasionally but rarely now) Almost all my content before this video is on console, so I used some older clips/gameplay that I felt may have good examples.
I was about to get the genji cute spray but the guy that they name him doomfist he steeled my 4th kill and the second game a girl named moira steeled my 4th kill again 😂😭
it's so hard to make lower player understand the force of the discord orb... I got a team blasting me for not giving them more healing with zen even if we were winning because before I swap for zen none of my DPS or Tank were able to kill a member of the enemy team.. I swap for Zen we start killing them everything is good (except my tank who keeps pushing so far away alone he doesn't get healed and Zen isn't a power house of pure healing sooooo) yup
@Andriatic I'm not talking about you in particular (great video, btw). But, from my personal experience, support players in my games are usually the ones to talk shit first while doing the least amount of work or making some questionable decisions.
This was actually removed a while back! The patch in the Ow2 beta that made it so that his healing is stronger in LowHP targets also removed the double healing for bap. Here is the Quote from those patch notes: “This change helps reinforce Baptiste as a Support hero that can save allies in clutch moments. This new functionality is intended to synergize with Immortality Field, allowing for faster recovery after saving his allies (or himself!) from imminent danger - Now heals for 50 instantly and 50 over time, instead of 100 over time. Additionally, the instant heal portion will be doubled on targets that are 50% or lower health. (Please note that we are aware of an issue where this ability is not updated on the hero information screen)** - No longer heals Baptiste for double”

I love that the Hammond at 12:46 had a Wiley Koyote moment, freezing in mid air, realising he’s screwed and plummeting to his death.
I feel like too many Ana tip guides brush over the scoped shot as this situational thing that you need to be super careful with. While that is somewhat true, you should *always* be looking to put yourself in a position where you can hold the scope for as long as possible. Quick scoping and no scoping are suboptimal shots that you should be able to fall back on when you’re in a suboptimal position, not shots that you should be wanting to use frequently.

Extra Ana tip your scoped shots reveal your position easily so dps may dive you move if you aren't hiding your trail properly

When your scoped as ana your weapon also leave a trail which shows your position, that's the most important thing and you didn't mention it

it's so hard to make lower player understand the force of the discord orb... I got a team blasting me for not giving them more healing with zen even if we were winning because before I swap for zen none of my DPS or Tank were able to kill a member of the enemy team.. I swap for Zen we start killing them everything is good (except my tank who keeps pushing so far away alone he doesn't get healed and Zen isn't a power house of pure healing sooooo) yup

@Andriatic I'm not talking about you in particular (great video, btw). But, from my personal experience, support players in my games are usually the ones to talk shit first while doing the least amount of work or making some questionable decisions.

Bap regen burst heals are doubled for yourself so the healing will be half of what the numbers are in this vid for your allies
This was actually removed a while back!
The patch in the Ow2 beta that made it so that his healing is stronger in LowHP targets also removed the double healing for bap.
Here is the Quote from those patch notes:
“This change helps reinforce Baptiste as a Support hero that can save allies in clutch moments. This new functionality is intended to synergize with Immortality Field, allowing for faster recovery after saving his allies (or himself!) from imminent danger
- Now heals for 50 instantly and 50 over time, instead of 100 over time. Additionally, the instant heal portion will be doubled on targets that are 50% or lower health. (Please note that we are aware of an issue where this ability is not updated on the hero information screen)**
- No longer heals Baptiste for double”
