That's brilliant. Thanks so much for that video! I'm amazed of how my grandma used to know all that naturally when she'd read/tell us her invented stories. I think it's an ancient art that we've forgotten in our tech world, so thank you for reminding it 🙏🏼
Thank you so much. This videos very very helping. Iam Indonesian English teacher and I ever thought that it was very difficult to started this, how to make them understand the whole story. But as you know, this part really help me. Thank you so much..🙏
Thank you for the video! I think your techniques are so helpful in getting children to invest themselves into stories. I try to do the same with my daughter, Mango, and she responds inquisitively and shows genuine interest in just about every book I read her!
I am a TA looking for inspiration for an observed whole class trial lesson in reception next week in a new school and I have found this very helpful! Would you recommend reading a story like this in a trial lesson/ do you have any other ideas which will make me stand out but are not too complicated? I love your Videos!
My son loves to read but he is only concentrating on reading and not interested in understanding the meaning or trying to listen. Any tips on how i can make him listen to me when i explain the story?
Thanks for sharing the skills! I want to be a kindergarten teacher and this is going to help me pass the interview 🙏 I think we are not good at "voice acting" because we are so used to talk in a natural tongue, as you said, that is not going to engage or excite children. I don't really want to act silly, but if that can make the story more interesting, why not?
My grandma read to me early. I became obsessed with dinosaurs and started to read and learn complex words . I now am a speed reader and love reading lots of non fiction. I think you need to to find a topic your child is interested in them and just give those books. 📚

Ask questions get him to infer rather than explain
Make voices or act part of the story with him ,you can also use figures and large photos of the characters in the story
