The old classic Rob Hubbard song from the C64-game Commando, performed on two Teenage Engineering PO-28 & PO-14 Pocket Operators.
All filmed in one go, no sound editing.

There is something fantastic about the 8bit sound that is comforting and peaceful to me. Must be from growing up seeing every video game that existed from the beginning. So much we have today came from one simple concept, "Do what you can with what you have." You can always build bigger and better later, enjoy today.

Thank you! I rather make new videos that tutorials on old ones though, but can explain briefly:
• PO-28 runs one pattern containing the drum beat and the repeating bleep sequence.
• PO-14 has in total seven patterns with bass lines. Six of them is first arranged in a 12 bar order. In the mid part I arrange one and the seventh in a two bar order, and then in the last part four of then in a new four bar part.
• I play live on the PO-28 over this, sometimes selecting a different sound

What do you use to capture the audio these little guys put out? Sounds so great!

+Jowe Derp This is as clean as it can be. The PO-14 feeds audio and sync into PO-28. The PO-28 mixes incoming and it's own audio and the output goes (in this case) to the built-in soundcard of an old MacBook Pro. The audio is then saved to disk. No EQ, compresson or editing, just the pure stuff :)
