Youth | Chapter 21

This set portrays and celebrates stories from our Asian American childhood experiences. Each segment depicts a unique emotion or period of time associated with the choreographers' childhoods, including, but not limited to, naivety/carefreeness, realization of immigrant bargain, and familial reconciliation. In this fast-paced world, it is not uncommon to feel pressure to constantly plan ahead for the future (career, relationships/marriage, etc). We hope this set encourages you to pause, process, and honor your childhood and its impact on shaping your current identity and values
