Hello Brea. Really enjoyed watching your art haul and listening to how excited you are to try things out. I was confused about the color cubes you bought. So I went onto the website to have a look at them and found they cost $40 dollars to buy. The images on the cards look like photos and a color picker was used to pick out the colors of the images. There are so many great books out there for Colour Harmony for artists that would cost from $5 - $10 dollars and would give you a lot more information. It just seems a waste of money to buy a product with a concept that has already been done by others for a lot less money.
@NikkiA.Art I totally see your point. I do have some of the Color Harmony books, that I agree are much better for learning how to create harmonious color palettes yourself. I wanted the Color Cube because it looked really pretty, and I liked the idea of having the color palettes on hand without having to pull out a book, and without having to think. I know it is quite pricey, but the products are of high quality. Overall, I actually think the digital version of this is WAY better, and much better value (the price is much less). I have a full review of the product here: ua-cam.com/video/9SK0Bq73wFQ/v-deo.html
Thanks Brea. Not interested in any of Sarah's products as they are gimmicks and a money maker. To have the card on hand you would have to sift through each of them to find what you are looking for. Please don't get me wrong, you are entitled to buy what you want, though, for some people out there who may not know what resources are available and who are on a budget, a book would be more helpful. Happy arting with your products. I know how exciting it is to get a haul.@@breamakesart4543
I love W&N gouache, and started out with that same set, although tried some cheaper ones I did not enjoy using. I’m still trying to get to grips with the medium though. All in good time… 🎨🖌👩🏻🎨👍🏻
Yeah, so far, I have mostly used the Himi Gouache simply because it is such little hassle. I have used some other gouache from tubes that I have from over the years of random art subscription boxes, so I am excited to have a few brands I can try out to figure out which ones I actually like.

Those W&N gouaches look nice! 🤩
They do! I can’t wait to try them. Will definitely be making a video with them in the not too distant future.
Best battletech lore channel on the internet!!!

Where did you get that beautiful dragonfly hanging behind you?
Honestly, I have had that so long, I do not remember where we got it. I want to say it was at a kite store, because I think it is actually a kite.
