Several specialists in automotive mechanics consider that TSI engines are able to serve very well during the warranty period (3 years on average 50k miles), afterwards maintenance problems occur continuously, such as: excessive carbonization in the internal parts, including inlet ducts, defects in vacuum pump, water pump, turbine, sensors, injector nozzles, anti-flame diaphragm membrane of the valve cover, coils, internal plastic parts that deteriorate over time, leakage of oil through the turbine, etc. Nor will I comment on the disastrous DSG exchanges with Civil Actions against VW / Audi in the USA, Australia, recall in China. Even in the face of all these problems, the VAG group's arrogance in not assuming such responsibilities, always alleging specific problems, has only contributed to the consumers' discredit increasing every day. It is not for nothing that the 1.5 TSI EVO engines launched with numerous modifications, aiming to alleviate the chronic design problems of version 1.4. For this reason, they are considered to be true delayed-effect pumps. I don't currently see as many grotesque failures worldwide as at VW. Engines such as GM Ecotec, FCA GSE, Renault SCe, Volvo, Cherry, Gelly, Great Wall, Peugeot Puretech, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Jeep, Hyundai, Mazda, Alfa Romeo, Citroen, etc. are much more reliable. It is not enough for a car to have only high torque and power, durability and reliability are needed. Unfortunately, the traditional German brands for more than a decade, were concerned with defrauding instead of developing new technologies, both for combustion engines and for hybrid, electric and autonomous technologies. We are living in a new era, where most of the brands mentioned, already demonstrate that Germany is no longer the cradle of automotive technology.

@@neyverdandi1704 All I was saying was that Astra K is not exactly an example of perfectly reliable car. VAG had many engine-related disasters, but EA211, EA888 since cca 2015 or EA288 are so far known as pretty reliable engines, with the exception of some faulty series and SW issues.

Yes, the idea was that you keep engine at max torque/power and only accelerate. But customers did not like the constant monotonous revving of the engine so car makers introduced fake gears to please majority of customers.
@@Mietas2 Cars with proper CVTs is like driving a tesla but with the background engine noise lol. I occasionally drive my dads prius 1.8 hybrid. The engine can sometimes be noisy but the CVT/ride is sooo smooth. I'm in the market for a new car and can't face the fact (due to budget) that i may need to look at a manual or DSG.

Finger weg ! Mein neuer Astra 1.2, 145ps hat andauernd die Bordspanung um 12,3 volt. Opel weiger sich die Batterie auszutauschen. Am besten würde ich das Auto sofort weiter geben ! Einz steht fest, nie mehr Opel !!

not sure about that...3-cylinder engines only, the best one with 107 kW and CVT...and the previous 1.4 was very unreliable.

Es gibt den 145PS Motor mit 1,2 Liter oder wie hier im Video mit 1,4 Liter Hubraum.
i hate the fact, that they simulate fake shifts. Its not the way CVTs should operate.
I'm also driving a CVT transmission, these fake shifts are so stupid...

Maybe its just ur car..mine's a similar twincharge golf 1.4. Easily hit 200kph+
Nice car but horrible transmission. I prefer the six-speed automatic in the pre-facelift.
