Emma, on the other hand, essentially had no darkness until season 5, when she was The Dark One for half of it and in hell the other half. So I can see where they're both coming from.
I've just realised, the saviour in each realm thing works really well. Emma is the saviour of the Enchanted Forest/ Storybrooke, Henry was the saviour of Neverland, Alice is the saviour of Wonderland and possibly Aladdin is the saviour of the Land of Untold Stories. It all fits

What was up with Becca secretly glancing over to Jared at 3:40? That seemed weird lol. And honestly in regards to Lana claiming S1 was the darkest, I sort of see her point a bit. Since then, it's all been "just another curse" or "just another villain", while S1 was a lot more serious having been about all the characters awakening from their 28-year-old slumber. Then there was the death of Graham or stuff like Red eating her boyfriend as a wolf... That wasn't exactly sugar sweet. If not the darkest, it definitely felt a lot more serious of a season, so I see why Lana would say that and us feeling weird about it. Then possibly S3 with Peter Pan being portrayed as evil and all that. The rest felt more like a senseless joke at times although there have definitely been legitimately dark situations.
If you ask me, I think all the seasons were pretty dark I mean let's recap: season 1:Regina was full on evil and the pilot when the curse hit, that was pretty intense. Plus, in "Red Handed" Red's boyfriend gets mauled to death by...well...Red in wolf form and we see a glimpse of his shredded remains so that was pretty dark. season 2:There are two episodes that included a shot of a group of innocent villagers' murdered corpses. We also see an innocent old woman get thrown out of a clock tower to her death after enduring a painful torture. that was probably the darkest scene in season 2 IMO. We also see a disturbing scene with Greg giving Regina a painful electric torture scene almost killing her. There's also the two episodes with Frankensteins. One being Frankenstein Daniel and the other being Dr Whale's Frankenstein brother. Season 3:Pan keeps innocent children as his henchmen AKA lost boys. Zelena steals a baby to use it as a magic ingredient most likely killing it. We see Snow White get burned a live (not really but at the time we think so). We see a scared Marian begging the villagers to help her as she's taken prisoner to be executed. (Just knowing had Emma and Hook not traveled in the past, that woman would've been murdered. Also knowing she gets killed later by Zelena.) season 4:Ingrid accidentally killing her own sister. Throughout the episode of "Fall" where the spell of shattered sight was starting to engulf Storybrooke. The story of how Snow and David stole an innocent baby and how it's first thought their actions caused the baby to be killed. Cruella's backstory was probably the darkest of the season. Also, the ending of the season finale. season 5:Seeing the Dark Swan for the first time. Seeing Fergus get killed. Hook becoming the dark one. The heroes venturing into the Underworld. Zelena killing a scared Scarecrow. Watching young Zelena get dragged away from young Regina and Cora then forcing young Regina to drink a forgetting potion. Those are just some examples of how each season has their own dark moments. Yes I actually took the time to write this. I have no life. lol

It simply comes down to this...Jen ships CS & Lana ships SQ.Now for that reason alone,Jen has been getting a lot of hatred in the social media for not supporting SQ as that part of the fandom is really vocal about their opinions.Lana said if she were a writer,she would probably go for SQ which did not go well with Jen.Lana openly read a SQ fanfiction and said she found one scene of Emma & Regina licking each other really hot.Jen does not support queerbaiting Lana does to appease the SQ fandom.On top of that in the Paris Con Lana confirmed Regina in the past hooked up with Hook with caused quite a stir and now HookedQueen is also a thing.So you can say.....combination of all these factors led to a certain distance between these two actresses.Jen is trying to distance herself from Lana at any cost so that SQ fandom doesn't get any more ammunition to ship them together.
It's the most attractive foreign movie I have ever seen. Every character gives me different and genuine feelings which makes me think that Iam a part of it ( even I imagine that I have magic). I will always follow and support you !

Season 1 one definitely one of the darkest seasons for Regina. she became better and happier because Henry asked her to. in case you forgot, Regina wasn't trying to be good hardly at all in Season 1. she was the Evil Queen. and in a lot of the Season 1 flashbacks, it shows the darker parts of Regina's life. Season 1 is when we see how she became evil. we saw her own mother crush her first love's heart. we saw her be trapped in her own kingdom by her husband. we saw her wanting to end her life by being bit by that Agrabahn snake. in S1 E11 she literally says "there is no happiness left for me in this life." that seems pretty dark to me. so don't call her "wrong" or "stupid" for stating her opinion. Season 1 in her opinion was the darkest for her character. and for those talking about Jen's reaction, i can't speak for her but she probably wasn't there during the filming of those intense Regina scenes and it was so long ago anyways that she might not remember all the details of that season, whereas Season 5 was more recent and fresh in her memory. and yes, Season 5 was intense and had a lot of angst but specifically for her character. in Season 5 she experienced being a Dark One, had to kill Hook, go to the Underworld to save him, and do all those things that she thought were darker than Season 1. which makes sense for her character, but i don't really consider Season 5 being dark solely because she was the Dark One. i also can't and don't speak for Lana, but when she said that she feels that Season 1 was the darkest it was probably because Season 1 showed us how Regina battled her own internal and external demons, so Season 1 was dark in the sense of the darkness that you create in your mind and heart over being dark in the sense of curses and monsters and all that. and yes, this is all coming from a hardcore Evil Regal, so don't come after me for not exactly being on Jen's side, but this is my opinion based on what i know and can infer about Lana, Jen, and Once Upon A Time.
