This house turned out so nice! I miss some of the iconic items we had in Sims 1. I was a kid when I played Sims 1 in the early 2000’s. My houses were boxes with big pools, the heartshaped hottub and vibrating beds and they would go on holiday constantly 😂😂
As a 40+ old fart I grew up playing this. Seeing all of you creators having fun with the game is bringing so many memories. Won't be installing this anymore for myself though, might consider the Sims 2, but the Sims 4 is still my absolute fave (yes, even as an old fart)! ❤Please keep making content, love seeing you build anything and everything!
Aww I miss the unhinged style choices of the Sims 1. TS2 will forever be MY game but the TS1 remains the craziest, most iconic one. You did a great job!
My best friend’s parents had that exact bed! This brings back so many memories. Me and my friend would take turns playing because our Sims would die so quickly!
STOP!! Tonya this just seriously threw me ALL THE WAY BACK!!! This really did remind me of one of my very first times building in The Sims (yes I've been playing since 2000. Yes I'm "old") I probably overabused that inflatable furniture because I had a purple inflatable chair IRL in my bedroom (that I shared with my big sister)!❤ Absolutely LOVE IT!!❤
@ how sweet. Also yeah I was absolutely crushed when the day finally came that I accidentally popped my chair purely because I had gotten too big (mind you, when this happened it was maybe two weeks before my 6th birthday and I had been dealing with my own room for a few months then). Devastated doesn't even cover it.
I'm 36 and I was 11 when I played the sims 1. I was even a builder then. The family computer was the only one with dial up internet so I had to download cc furniture via the internet (probably with a lot of virus' haha) on to a floppy disc and then upload into my computer. It was a mission and took forever to do but love looking back on those memories ❤
When the sims 1 came out, I was 11 and our school library had 5 copies, so my friends and I would skip our bus and hang out in the library playing the sims 1 for a couple hours everyday after school. Eventually I got the sims 1 and havent stopped playing the sims, LOL it makes me feel a bit old. I think you did awesome!! compared to what i first started building in the sims, massive rectangles and the only seperate room would be the bathroom. hahaha its fun seeing everyone discovering the sism 1 & 2 properly. Itd be cool to see you explore the worlds, I love Makin' Magic so much.
Yeah. I’ve been building in The original Sims so much, and your house turned out to be awesome! You’ve got a great feeling and test. Cause it’s really hard to match objects there, I tend to watch, what developers build for sims before. It really helps
This is so nostalgic 😍👏 I loved the sims 1 bc I've always loved to imagine my own floor plans since my early teenage years. I had a big folder full of them drawn on scale paper, so the sims gave me the perfect opportunity to turn those into a 3D model for the first time - ngl, I remember occupying our only pc for hours on end while building and that didn't change in the last 20 yrs 😂
The nostalgia!!! I started with The Sims (1). I was about 10 when I bought it with the money I got for my first communion. But playing it now after all the other Sims is just weird cause it's insane how fast the needs deplete compared to the newer games.
I have fond memories of the sims 1 and sims 2. And Sims 3 is always going to be my favorite. But problem is that sims 1 is now fun for an hour and then the lack of everything that has advanced to Sims 4 makes me bored really quick haha but it is nostalgic to watch it. Great job on the house!
You did amazing cause it is so hard to build in the Sims 1 imo 😂 One thing that would’ve helped you quite a bit though is some things DO have swatches! It’s actually really impressive cause some like beds and stuff you can choose the frame and sheet swatches separately. I think you just need to hover over the thumbnail a little longer to get them to pop up. They come up with the description!
I’m so glad The Sims 1 and 2 are back. This is so cool having content creators doing content ont hear games too. Hope you spend a good time doing that :)
I was 12 when Sims 1 came out and it's such a core memory for me. I still remember the store where my dad and I bought it and how the store smelled. 😂 Also met a lifelong friend in the Sims chatroom. Sims 4 build and buy is incredible but Sims 1 gameplay is so absurd and fun.
I’m playing almost 20 years now with the Sims 2 so I call myself an OG simmer (even tho Im not THAT big fanatic, like having UA-cam channel about it or collection just the all games and dlc-s) but I never EVER played with the 1, would be mind blowing for me.
I love people discovering how out there The Sims 1 was 😂💚 I miss some of the more silly ‘adult’ things like the cake with a dancer inside and the dancing cages lol I’ve been playing mostly with the Superstar expansion cause I used to always want my sim to be a model when I was a kid but I didn’t understand how the prompts worked (it’s still difficult!) 😅😂 but I’m really enjoying it 💚 Looking forward to exploring Magic Town cause that was also a favourite 💚✨
I instantly wanted to see you re-build this house in Sims4 now. Curious how close you can get to some of it and... also how possible it is to rebuild that roof XD
I started playing sims with the original one around 1999 or 2000 I think. I like current version where you get to choose colors for everything so much better.
I started playing with 1 but really grew up with 2 (I'm 31) but I totally forgot how easy it is to create chaos with 1. It's a shame I don't have much time for 4 as it is, so I'm not likely to buy more games, even for nostalgia sake
Love the build. I loved this game so much. A friend got it for me for my birthday in 2003 and ive been playing Sims since lol. Why I was so excited to play Sims 1 and 2 when they announced the re-release of them. I cant get Sims 1 to work but Sims 2 works but crashes sometimes. I dont know what is happening lol.
If you load a random family into an empty lot, you can spend all their funds placing heaps of expensive plants, then evict them from the lot, make another family and have them move into it instead, the plants are still there for no extra cost. Youve just saved 16 k
Wow! I didn’t know you could do build this beautiful in the Sims one! I can’t wait to see what you do with the Sims two. I’m just playing it for the first time ever this last few days and having a blast. I’ve done a little bit of renovating, but I haven’t dived into an actual bill yet. I assume there’s no gallery or anything like that in these early Sims games. I know there’s a bin where lots in Sims get loaded for the Sims two but I’m assuming you have to go get those from somebody’s Patreon or website. Curious to know because I love your builds and often put them in my game!❤❤
I’m 34 so I grew up playing the Sims one and you did an amazing job!!
Ahh thank you!!

I see these items and am instantly transported back to my childhood! Wow!
When this came out, I bought it right away. My son was a toddler. Now my son is 26 going on 27 and has a toddler son. lol How fast time flies.

yeah! i loved the sims 3 but sims 4 has been nicer to me. 😂 i just avoid all new dlc for a few months until it’s all patched up.
You should try rebuilding this house in Sims 2, Sims 3, and Sims 4! This one turned out so nice and I love when people do that challenge.
It's on my list of ideas! Probably not this house though haha
@@Gryphi Fair enough! I'd enjoy seeing you do that with another house too. :3
Love this! More Sims 1 builds ♡ My inner child is so blown away. My builds always looks awful haha
Aww thank you! and omg don't say that!
Oh the interior especially is so cute!! I’m inspired now hahaha
Aww I miss the unhinged style choices of the Sims 1. TS2 will forever be MY game but the TS1 remains the craziest, most iconic one. You did a great job!
Thank you! and right? there are some wacky swatches in this game!
My best friend’s parents had that exact bed!

Not old!! and omg yesss! I loved my inflatable chair back in the day!

Now I need to see you build in 2 and 3 cause that looks amazing!
It's actually one of the better Sims 1 builds I've seen from the community. Great job!
Aw thank you so much! I was surprised how it turned out too!
Yeah. I’ve been building in The original Sims so much, and your house turned out to be awesome! You’ve got a great feeling and test. Cause it’s really hard to match objects there, I tend to watch, what developers build for sims before. It really helps
What a blast from the past! Thanks for sharing!

before ever owning a sims game (had them all moreorless when they were current), i played in build mode at the Ontario Science Centre on a field trip

This was so nostalgic! I remember this all so well!!
You did amazing cause it is so hard to build in the Sims 1 imo 😂

I love the "build with me" format!
I use to love playing Sims 1 and 2. I loved Sims 3 too. I loved the bear in the trash.
The finished build looked nice! I used to put windows on every other wall piece to maximize that natural light, you showed way more restraint 😂
aw thank you! LOL every other tile? it must have been BRIGHT in there!!
I’m playing almost 20 years now with the Sims 2 so I call myself an OG simmer (even tho Im not THAT big fanatic, like having UA-cam channel about it or collection just the all games and dlc-s) but I never EVER played with the 1, would be mind blowing for me.

This is really good for a first time, plus the lack of options.
I think you did alright. Those white curtains btw connect to make a big one when placed next to each other.
Ooh I didn't notice that! I'll have to try that!
I instantly wanted to see you re-build this house in Sims4 now. Curious how close you can get to some of it and... also how possible it is to rebuild that roof XD
sims 2 pets on console was my first game too!
You did such a fantastic job! I hope you make some more The Sims (1) videos :D
Please do more The Sims 1 builds! This was a good try!
I started playing sims with the original one around 1999 or 2000 I think. I like current version where you get to choose colors for everything so much better.
very cute! it would be nice seeing you building in the sims 2 as well :))

You typing in those cheats from memory like it was nothing.
If you load a random family into an empty lot, you can spend all their funds placing heaps of expensive plants, then evict them from the lot, make another family and have them move into it instead, the plants are still there for no extra cost. Youve just saved 16 k

I think you did a great job for your first time!
It’s actually really classy
I’m excited to see what you’re able to do with this
Hope you like it!!
You did very well! It’s so hard to build on the sims 1!
Idea - what if you tried to recreate this build in the Sims 4 the best you could?
I did not remember how few style choices you have when it comes to furniture. 😂
This is *so* nostalgic!
it was so fun to go back & build!
omg sims 2 pets on cosole?!! so you had to deal with the sped up sounds lol, i hated that XD but the control of the pets were so cute
I've never been able to build anything even half-decent in the Sims 1.
that's nice house
I actually built a pretty good house in the sims 1 it took a while to build because I was having trouble with the walls but once i got it I did ok
kaching I think adds 1000 sims, rosebud adds 50,000
😊
does anyone here also still have issues starting up their game *the re release version*? I wanna play so bad :,)
Did you put a phone in? It’s kind of important. Nice house.
Yes! In the kitchen!
I started with the sims 2 but my best friend started with 1. I tried to build a house in the sims 2 the other day 😅 omg is it hard
The Sims is not, and never was, aesthetic 😂
