its strange that the faster the rc the better it is at finding the places and driving them selves into what ever can absolutely destroy them but glad to hear your not giving up!!!!!!
Ooooo!!! I always say “It’s not the speed that does the damage. It’s the sudden stops!” That was heart wrenching to see, but Incredible to watch. 👍 Sorry for your loss.
That’s how I tend to drive too, I pick the only thing in the area and drive right into it. Well, this is a lesson (thanks Raz for paying the bill on this one) as to why we shouldn’t run off-road tires when doing speed runs
You need to add the OOF sound to impact. I did this to my first xmaxx. Was really new to RC and didn't know what 10f temperatures did to plastics when you hit a tree doing 50. The whole front half from center of the truck forward turned into a frag grenade. First grand I spent on RC lasted about a week.
Love the sound of twin motor cars, especially when they aren’t physically connected! The fronts spin up as the weight transfers rearwards, bogging down the rear motor as the back tires dig in. The different simultaneous pitches is just one of the coolest sounds you can get from an RC car.
I feel for you man. Something similar happened to me when I was a kid. I did a complete tear down and rebuild of my only truck at the time, a Stampede VXL. Replaced all the rusty screws with new stainless steel screws, new bearings, new body, cleaned everything inside out so it looked shiny and brand new. Waited all winter for spring to come so I could give it a run. Then I took it out for its first bash on a new field I had been eyeing. Did one pass down the field at full speed around 50mph, it hit a large jagged rock hidden in the grass and completely tore the chassis exploding the truck into two large halves. I was devastated lol. Learned something new that day. Always look out for large rocks first before bashing on a new field!
Dude I’m so sorry to see what happened there 😢. I felt that hit deep down in the depths of my nuts sack and I really feel your pain after all that work you put into it. Such a shame but looking forward to seeing its comeback. Great vid and subed ya. Keep on bashin’ brother. 😎🤙🏼
Honestly man you did such a great job building It and you kinda knew deep down that the off road tyres would behave like that but non the less it’s repairable ! New chassis, Motors, bell crank and perhaps bulk heads and refitting the electronics should see you back on the road… off road that is! I would enjoy seeing your expertise applied to off-road / desert runs but if not just rebuilt this and apply belted on road wheels and tweak the suspension and even lock the differentials for stability Thanks for all your hard work and entertaining content, you are absolute joy to watch and I fiend for you next uploads ! 😂
It's a big offroad truck with lots of suspension travel so the weight is going to transfer a lot when you use the throttle - you saw that with the pizza cutter tyres. If you've spent any time driving big offroad trucks you'll know that they understeer like crazy on power, that is if they're not already oversteering, which wasn't the case here. It's not like onroad cars that stay flat. This is going to be a lot worse with the dual motor setup because there's no diff to stop the front wheels from spinning and losing all their sideways traction. Anyway, the way to fix this was to release the throttle when you felt the steering go light, to let the weight shift to the front and reduce the power to restore grip to the front. It's not an easy lesson to learn on the fly, unfortunately.
What's up Raz I think your the best.. lol you share all your knowledge and are the greatest Example of how the hobby ahould be Represented.Keep up the good work .!!!!
If that piece of curve was shaped probably the rc wouldn’t of got suddenly impacted instead it would of airborne and cause less damage or survived. The freeze frame showed how those wheels tuns into roller blades. Great footage man!. Good luck on your next one. 👍
Man that thing was fast!!! Really reminds me of why I run my Gen1 Factory 6S Castle Powered E-Revo on 3S. Also why I enjoy Crawling in my Jeep and don't have any want to be going Flat Out in a Pre-runner.
Love watching pros break stuff makes me feel better out my own RC breakages. great honest content. Pain full but lesson learned.. you got this make it work !!
The cage and body adds the corner weight needed for basic handling, anybody that's ever run a 5t without the cage knows they skate around. The mods you did I am sure changed the CG would be curious to see how much. 🤔 keep it up Raz
Ouch, i think I feel that here Raz - I was thinking about a shaftless dual motor setup...But on second thoughts i'll stick with the standard(ish) setup with a bit more "backbone" until my driving skills improve... Or I win the lottery and money's not a worry . :) Better luck next time- Thanks for another memorable video-All the best.
I would have thought that a experienced guy like Raz would know that those wheels ballooning is gonna be a crash sooner than later. But I still love you Raz😁
i already tried something like this in 2011, at the time i was destroying too much spur gears so i thought why not build a car without a spur gear with a driveshaft directly from the motor to the differential (it was a brushless 1/10 2wd buggy made from 2 different half-buggy's) it ended airborne and as it landed it broke appart the drive shaft from the motor at it's base, so this motor was now a motor without a ouput shaft lol that when i realised that the role of the spur gear in not only gear reduction but also to avoid this kind of scenario
WOW that one hurts, but come on Raz a $3500 car with a crap $50 radio? I 've had those radios glitch on me a few times and in the garbage they went, luckily for me my glitch did not end catastrophic.
Brings back memories of when I cut my $1200 slash in half on my first 6s run. I kind of laugh about it now but still... I keep on building. Really liking this channel. You help explain what the esc is doing and make it fun great work
I did a similar thing with a 5t gas stuffed and stroked into a pressure treated 6x6. Fortunately for me, I was with my wife, and I had to immediately explain why I was about to blow a brain vessel. So much work
Wow! I feel your pain, about 15+ years ago I modified a Losi Mini LST and had lost steering and hit a curb at probably 45mph. Literally everything broke! All 4 tires shot off and it was raining tires 😂, chassis tacked all electronics broke. I know it didn't cost as much as your rig, but still a heartbreaking experience 😢
Dang, sorry to see that happen to you Raz. I think the tires pancaking the way they did certainly did not help with traction or steering. I would like to see a rebuild if this truck though. Keep the content coming mate!
We all weren't doing this if it were all about the money. It's kind of a passion. Spending time, patience, all your knowledge on this one simple moment seeing how it goes. Even if it breaks it's all worth the effort. Cause we're doing this for the fun it gives us.. So glue that damn thing back together and send it.!
All that non-curb road & the car finds the very beginning of the curb!! 🤦♂️ The same thing happened to me with my Limitless, no curb on the road at all except for a very small section of less than 2FT wide, which had a telephone pole right behind it..... Serious explosion 💥 of parts!! 😣 But, it's all part of the game!.. We rebuild & rebuild stronger & better!! Race'm, Break'm, Fix'm & Repeat!! 😎👍
What a terrible impact. The way the components flew out was crazy, you did such a clean detailed build. It was beautiful. Looking forward to the rebuild. Maybe belted tires next time?
I'm sorry about that! it looks like the back is salvageable along with the front shocks... definitely a strong carnage but at least there are salvageable parts!
Daaaamn, sorry to see this happen Raz, those 5ives do like to get loose though, especially on concrete and tarmac, in the slowmo you can see it just sliding, that really sucks!
Hey Raz! Super sorry to see this crash. I have a question on the system and no this isn't one of those why didn't you do this to avoid this question. I'm curious on the Power Plant and you choices on components? In the last video you said you we're only going to Run 4s due to the high KV and tall gear ratio. I noticed you are using the 1100KV motors why not run 2 800KV motors instead?
Man that hurt... hit the worst possible spot on the whole street... if it had been 20 inches forward or backward you would have at most a few scratches on the car. But I know this car will come back even stronger, I can't wait to see it.
I didn't think it was max6 sized, the Corally esc. It looks like a max8 in physical size, but they rate it at higher amps somehow. That aside... seeing that hit over and over just made my stomach hurt. Your build quality and attention to detail is really among the best I've seen. Curious what you do for a living?
Look how bad those tires were ballooning. You need to start test driving with Belted tires Raz. They'll save you from a lot of off-road & on-road mistakes that's has nothing to do with your steering or the electronics. You'll definitely get better results during your test runs.
Everything You Need Is Here..

its strange that the faster the rc the better it is at finding the places and driving them selves into what ever can absolutely destroy them but glad to hear your not giving up!!!!!!
Look on the bright side, I've never seen a RC car stop so fast before.
The breaks must be great. 🤣
That was a sweet build, sorry for your loss bro. I see 2.0 in the horizon lol God speed
Raz you have already forgotten more than I'll ever know about RC builds. But that kind of rubber needs to be belted .I know you know that.
Ooooo!!! I always say “It’s not the speed that does the damage. It’s the sudden stops!” That was heart wrenching to see, but Incredible to watch. 👍 Sorry for your loss.
Since I was about 12, my #1 Rule for RC vehicles is to stay the hell away from CURBS. Never worth the risk. Thanks for the demonstration 😂👍
That hurts for sure, car is trashed but you took it well. You're a true professional Raz. Respect!
That was my favorite build on your channel. So sad. Wanted to more videos of it.
Such an awesome build!!!, All that money to break a curb, Sludge hammer work as well, LOL, Great video!!!! Thanks.
I audibly said 'oh my god 😮💨' 17 times watching this. Heavy stuff dude
this is easily the most heartbreaking rc video i have ever seen, that was catastrophic, i almost cried
Wow that was really sad to see but mad props for capturing the crash perfectly.
That’s how I tend to drive too, I pick the only thing in the area and drive right into it. Well, this is a lesson (thanks Raz for paying the bill on this one) as to why we shouldn’t run off-road tires when doing speed runs

So sad, that thing looked insane, that sound heart wrenching. You will build it better we know it. Good luck, love your channel
You REALLY need to find better places to drive these things, such a huge pity seeing that masterpiece last 2 mins
I feel for you man. Something similar happened to me when I was a kid. I did a complete tear down and rebuild of my only truck at the time, a Stampede VXL. You funny😂
Man said depths of my nut sacks 😭😭
That's devastating, Sorry that happened to you Raz. Thanks for Sharing Brother 💯🚀💯👍💯🙏
Honestly man you did such a great job building It and you kinda knew deep down that the off road tyres would behave like that but non the less it’s repairable ! New chassis, Motors, bell crank and perhaps bulk heads and refitting the electronics should see you back on the road… off road that is!

Imagine a Kevin Talbot and an Ethan Talbot in the same message thread only 2 comments apart... Glitch in the matrix?
Complete destruction!!! Omg thanks Raz lol that is by far one of the worst rc crashes ive ever seen
It's a big offroad truck with lots of suspension travel so the weight is going to transfer a lot when you use the throttle - you saw that with the pizza cutter tyres. Impressive to even hit that curb! Probably would have missed if if aiming for it at full speed. Looking forward to next project.
That's a damn shame. All that hard work down the drain. I wish I had $3,500 to just toss away like that. Rest in pieces awesome car.
Love your videos!!! All of your RC’s sound like the SR-71 Blackbird!!!! Happy RC’ing Y’all 🇺🇸❤️🤘🏽🏁
Well Raz, if it makes you feel any better at all, I just did the same thing with my Kraton 8s a few days ago and hit a tree at full throttle
Not gonna lie I felt my heart cracked just a little bit for you. I hope you build it again that thing is going to be insane!
Ouch! Not seen a hit that hard in a long time!
Ahh, worst possible thing to hit on that strip of road 😱😭 I hope you can rebuild it soon. 👍
Oof all the angles at play in that impact the car absorbed all of that energy. Looking forward to the rebuild.
That twin motor roar is awesome! Love the sound of it. So sad to see it die on the first run though
That sucks man , love the content Raz.!!!
Im amazed at how it yeeted both motors out of the chassis.
As to my assessment I think in-spite of the crash , that car can be fixed because the rear is still intact and both the ESC's seem to be ok.
DAAAAMN OUCH 😫😩
R.I.P. Poor Losi 🙏
Omg so painful to watch! I thought Talbot was there driving for you 😂😂
He was somehow the first comment on this monstrosity of a crash, too...
What's up Raz I think your the best.. lol you share all your knowledge and are the greatest Example of how the hobby ahould be Represented.Keep up the good work .!!!!
Wow that really sucks. I had my first speed build do the same. Tire blew at 60 or 70 mph and it slammed into a curb.
that is the worst RC car crash I ever seen, you are a champ.
If that piece of curve was shaped probably the rc wouldn’t of got suddenly impacted instead it would of airborne and cause less damage or survived. The freeze frame showed how those wheels tuns into roller blades. Great footage man!. Good luck on your next one. 👍

I would have thought that a experienced guy like Raz would know that those wheels ballooning is gonna be a crash sooner than later.
But I still love you Raz😁
Omg 😲 😱 idea is epic but we learn from our mistakes
Can anything be salvaged ?
My heart goes out to you my friend, that was a nasty crash, but I know that you will never give up because you are the best ❤️
Never gonna let you down

It wasn’t the remote.
@@kingwillie206 yeah it was!
Should use the even cheaper dumbo rc, with the gyro..
Damn! New rule, from now on all curb corners must have ramps installed over them.
I know this hurt your heart but you gave me a great laugh before work lolol. I needed it
Still an awesome build! These fifth scale cars have such a hard time because of their weight. Looking forward to seeing the shogun with the Max6!
That damn curb!
Brings back memories of when I cut my $1200 slash in half on my first 6s run. I kind of laugh about it now but still... I keep on building. Really liking this channel. You help explain what the esc is doing and make it fun great work
Good that you have it at least on video....so it will be for ever. I hope you rebuild it soon
That’s a sad ending to a great build. Thanks for sharing
I did a similar thing with a 5t gas stuffed and stroked into a pressure treated 6x6.

Wow man. Slow mo is the best. You can watch almost every dollar come out of it LOL
OMG i did the same thing on Sunday but not at that speed. Luckily my truck was able to jump the curb limiting the damage
Holy crap! That thing EXPLODED! Ouch!
Dang, sorry to see that happen to you Raz. I think the tires pancaking the way they did certainly did not help with traction or steering.
I would like to see a rebuild if this truck though. Keep the content coming mate!
Stupid question probably but do you run AVC on those type of builds? And if so do you think it may have malfunction or was the cause of the problem?
No idea what servo you had but I wonder if it didn't have the strength to pull such a large truck out of a slide at that speed?
That was SODS LAW to hit the end of the curb and not either side of it 💥🤕
That's what kevin Talbots cars end up looking like every time he come back from a bash lol
Gotta get some belted tires! Awesome build by the way!
Like Kevin says... Could have been worse, could have been mine. But seriously, sorry man. That was painful to watch.
And the way you pronounce shogun is awesome. I was like the corally what? Oh, shogun. It's pronounced show-gun
We all weren't doing this if it were all about the money. It's kind of a passion. Spending time, patience, all your knowledge on this one simple moment seeing how it goes.

That was like watching one of those rocket sleds fly into the wall
Ouch man hope you can get it fixed that just sucks
`On this episode of Destroyed in Seconds........ Ouch. I felt that one from here.
good timing to hit exact that spot where the curb is missing
What a terrible impact. The way the components flew out was crazy, you did such a clean detailed build. It was beautiful. Looking forward to the rebuild. Maybe belted tires next time?
What are you doing with the old chassis?
That was a sick car man! I hope to see it back again!
Duuuuuuude! What a Crash! Even the motors came off! But Raz being Raz, will build a better One! Thank you for your videos!
Absolutely sickening watching that beautiful car get destroyed.
What kind of driver bit was the Gold one you used here ?
That’s sad my dude
I'm sorry about that! it looks like the back is salvageable along with the front shocks... definitely a strong carnage but at least there are salvageable parts!
That curb is getting a sequel. Wait for it
Great build great car, sorry it happened. You are an inventor, keep it up.
All that work in 2min boooooomm 🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣
Man that was one hell of a hit. We have all had one of these days. What are you using to counter sink you holes with Raz?
Wow , that was moving.👍What a drag tho.
Daaaamn, sorry to see this happen Raz, those 5ives do like to get loose though, especially on concrete and tarmac, in the slowmo you can see it just sliding, that really sucks!

You also have the most beautiful builds Forsure!! So clean, do you sell any of them???
That was painful to watch knowing the work and money that went into it . But I know you’ll rebuild it better .
