Excellent intro, Surf expedition to the southern region of Sri Lanka, thanks for your visual effort! What’s your take on a SUP board? Please consider a paddle with good etiquette and a relaxed attitude. Solid intermediate rider. Thanks again, mate!
Glad you enjoyed the video! For SUPs it's really going to depend on the crowd factor - but I'd say Marshmellows an a couple of the reefs in the centre of town would be do able.
I haven't seen any SUPs out there on my recent visits, but I'd say For SUPs it's really going to depend on the crowd factor - but Marshmellows an a couple of the reefs in the centre of town would be do able.
It's super rare out there and only slightly more common on the East Coast, but usually after heavy rains when they're flushed out from the rivers - so for the most part it's not really an issue.

I was wondering the same thing if there are better places to go with a SUP? I was scanning the video, but didn’t see any stand-up paddlers?

@@StokedForTravel thanks for your advice and observations. Always good to keep up the stoke and a positive vibe whenever traveling. 🤙🏼
There are often sup surfers in Koggala, south beach point, it's very close to Kabalana on the road towards Unawatuna
@@AlexeyTikhonov42 thanks for sharing :)
Don’t forget the crocodiles it’s rarely talked about. Everyone should be very careful if they surf in Sri Lanka
