But BCCI does not participate in Indian politics so I do not see what's political about it. I have a serious question. If Bumrah is expected to play every game, and the same applies to Kohli, KL Rahul, and Rohit, why isn’t Ashwin given the same level of importance? It seems like spinners, in general, are treated differently in cricket. Their selection in the playing XI often depends on conditions, unlike senior batsmen and pacers. Regardless of their performance, senior batsmen and bowlers are almost guaranteed a spot in the playing XI if they are part of the squad. Why is this bias against spinners still prevalent?

It seems like spinners, in general, are treated differently in cricket. Their selection in the playing XI often depends on conditions, unlike senior batsmen and pacers. Regardless of their performance, senior batsmen and bowlers are almost guaranteed a spot in the playing XI if they are part of the squad. Why is this bias against spinners still prevalent?
Pacer and batter can take wickets and score runs without depleting much in avg
