This is ,seriously, one of my most favourite videos of all times. I am literally crying with tears of laughter every single year when it appears in my Facebook memories! And yes I share it every year. One of my most watched UA-cam videos, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.
So glad everyone's still enjoying the video after all the years we've had it in the family (not far off 20 years now)!! Thanks to all for helping us get over 1.5million views, we think that's ace! Merry Christmas everyone 💗💗
+Hannah Sergeant Yep! ...came looking for her again. It's that time of year! Hope you both are well and have a very Happy Christmas Hannah! Love from New Zealand xo
my very favourite Christmas video. I just love this child. I was much the same...giving her all! Thank you whoever you are. I hope you are having a wonderful life.
I love this video so much. Your little sister had no idea how many people her singing would cheer up for years to come. I would love to know what she thinks about it all now.
Hannah... I've watch this every day since I first found it my accident this month. I smile every time like it was the first time seeing it. Everyone...it is beautiful to see the other children's reactions to Ellie's performance as she just gives it her ALL. Thank you so much. Blessings to your family in the UK! 🙏♥️🙂
My family have been watching this for quite a few years now and not only at Christmas! We laugh til we cry! I love that little girl and have seen her being interviewed on TV as an adult! I am so glad her mum told her to sing out loud so the people could hear at the back of the church!
This is just tooo funny, I share it every year with my family and friends, many of whom are actually primary school teachers. That little singer must be around 25 years old now. Fabulous. And can't even believe it is a REAL baby in the crib. Thank you so much for making me smile. Priceless. x
It's the world we live in, the ability to post what you like and say what you want and hide behind the screen of the computer, this clip has made me laugh so hard I cried, it hails from a day when we could actually film nativity plays without fear of being told to turn our cameras off. Thank you for posting it, it has given me so much pleasure and i have forwarded it to many of my family and friends, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, even the ones bitter and twisted.
I did laugh and I have to say, I had a big lump in my throat for all those wonderful kids who never have the chance to sing with such abandon - so safe and secure that they are loved. Really lovely - thank you:)
As a one-time primary school teacher I have suffered through many Christmas and Summer concerts, trying to keep a straight face but this cracks me up every time. I love the little angel!
Like so many others, apparently, I just keep coming back to this every Christmas. It's such a delight. Just as you think she can't get any louder... Thank you, thank you, thank you
This is my favourite Christmas video. I wait for 1st December ready to post this again on Facebook as she is just so funny and gets funnier the longer you watch it. Bet she loves it!
This is how performing all music, singing or otherwise should be done. A lesson in commitment and untamed energy that everyone should aspire to I'm really sorry she didn't go on as a singer. Rock on Angel no. 3!
You knew she was going to be trouble when you saw the size of the wings!!!! Love everything about this. I love how the longer it goes on the more 'enthusiastic' she gets 😂😂
I watch this video EVERY year at Christmas (several times) and any time I need cheering up. It works every time! This little girl is magic! By sharing this enthusiastic performance, it reminds us all what the true joys in life are - moments like this. She may be embarrassed about it now, but she shouldn’t be. It has given many people the gift of laughter and happiness. Thank you for sharing it!
Absolutely priceless! As a voice teacher and choir director I would LOVE to have her as a student or in my choir. Please tell me she is still singing with all her heart and soul because it's a lot easier to learn to match pitch than to learn how to be fearless and fabulous. Your sister is a star in the making ;-)
This embodies everything that is fantastic, magical and wonderful about Nativity plays. I am going to see my childs first one next week, and I hope and pray its as marvellous as this one. What a fabulous family keepsake this video clip is. Thank you for sharing.
I have laughed so hard the tears are running down my cheeks. I LOVE this video and THAT little girl singer. Poor Joseph (in blue) tried competeing with her once but just couldn't get as loud as she. Thank you for sharing, I'm going to share it with all my friends and brighten their day too.
It's the perfect demonstration of "Sing as if no one is listening" and I (a professional opera singer) find this to be utterly inspiring! I hope she keeps singing! (And thank you for sharing this - the perfect Christmas gift!)
Wow! Joyce Di Donato! Your voice is absolutely amazing! I have heard your recordings of, for example, The Sound of Music, which David Mellor plays on his ‘Mellor’s Melodies’ programme on Classic FM! I just love listening to your voice! 😀👍😘 Simonline.
Today I saw this for the first time, have been down lately but this made me chuckle all day, she was oblivious of the effect of her singing and telling her parents and their friends that she loved them God Bless ALL extroverts
The funniest thing I've seen in ages. I was crying with laughter and it just got better and better. She looked like she was loving it. Whenever I'm fed up I'll watch this and it's guaranteed to cheer me up. She's a little star.
First saw this on TV over the Christmas period and I though that she was amazing! I would be proud if that was my relative . She's a little star and has made my day x
I LOVE this video!!! Not only does it cheer me up big time, it's just sooooo cute! Nothing like singing to the heavens, is there!😂 will watch this every year now without fail! Thank you for sharing this fab video!😇
Can't say how many times I've watched this in the last couple of days and every time it literally makes me cry with laughter. I just have to think about it and I start laughing again. She is just hilarious. Also the little boys reaction is so damn cute. Love it.
Can't stop playing this, nothing to do with religion/belief as I don't have any, but because she's so gutsy and oblivious in the way that little children can sometimes be, because the child in blue is so not sure of what to do about it, but is obviously loving it anyway, and because the older children, including you, manage to sing on through it, albeit with uncertain smiles and sideways glances! That'll teach all of us parents to tell children to 'sing up'. Please post more!
I'm re-re-re-re-watching this again today, I really need a guaranteed laugh, and that's it. My bad mood is now gone thanks to your sister and this video. Forever grateful that you posted it 11 or 8 years ago. :)
In all my years with my kids' chorus programs, frankly, this is the kind of thing I always hoped for from SOMEONE. Christmas pageants and concerts are all fine and lovely, but this is the one you go home and talk about. Love it.
I randomly stumbled on this video on a really bad day. I laughed so hard I cried! Thanks for posting! I'm a career composer, and I shared this on my FB music page so all my clients could enjoy this beautiful "music"
Reminds me of a friend's funeral service. When it came to the hymn, I found I was the only one singing! I just ploughed on regardless in support of my friend looking down. Haha!
I'm sure I've posted on here before!!! Just watched it again and posted on my facebook timeline...this is my favourite youtube clip of all time...absolutely brilliant. I work in a school and sing in a ladies choir...everytime we sing this song, I think of this precious girl and her gusto in delivering this song...love her...thanks for many years of giving us this video...x
thank you so much for uploading this. i sent it to all my friends for christmas. my belly hurts from laughing. great great great. one cool sister you have there.
This is too funny! It probably sounds beautiful in her ears lol. And I love how that little boy is looking at her that whole time. At first he seems shocked, but then he's like: wow, she's AWSOME! I like her!
I only heard of this when Ellie (now a lawyer) was interviewd on the BBC Radio 4 ''Today'' programme today (14/12/2021). She was brilliant. Fr Peter at St Helen, Athersley, said last Sunday that the congregation should sing certain hymns out loud with joyful enthusiasm - how Ellie had anticipated that. One assumes that her mother did manage to hear her, though how the baby didn't join in may never be known.
Every time I watch this I laugh hysterically. It never fails to make me laugh. I have now sent it to all my friends and they love it too! Pure genius and she looks like she's enjoying every minute of it!!!
I have watched this several times now - and it makes me so happy! The only thing that would have made it better would have been to show us the audiences faces during this! Haa haa! What a great memory preserved. Thank you for sharing it with us. "He came from Glory!" Indeed.
Thank you for sharing this Hannah. Always makes my day when I see this. Thank your mom on telling your sister to sing out loud (cause she was sitting at the back) Your dad filming this and especially your sister Ellie on singing this song with all her heart. Merry Christmas!

haha, that was amazing, watched it bout 5 times and everytime is just more funnier, from the start shes just not givin a shit lol, hits the boy in the face with her big wing then just stands and bites her nails and then belts out that angelic voice, classic

my aunt sent it means today to show my mum. I think it's hilarious. is she still that loud now she's in her twenties?
The expression on the face of the boy in blue still cracks me up. :D
That was a girl and she was playing Mary, lol. x
I have been watching this for years now and always thought that was Joseph...........
Same with me
my very favourite Christmas video. I just love this child. I was much the same...giving her all! Thank you whoever you are. I hope you are having a wonderful life.
I share this every year. It's pure gold.
Doesn't matter how often I watch it, cracks me up everytime.... Bless her heart
Back for my annual visit. Christmas season doesn't begin until I get a good laugh from this video!
The funniest video I've seen in ages. The mixture of confidence and innocence is magical. A hoot.

I read a article that she is a attorney now and is embarrassed by it
@@donnawarrior1908 That’s absurd. Why would she be embarrassed to be an attorney?
@@donnawarrior1908 She was on radio this week about it - I think she went through a phase of embarrassment but is over that now.

This is brilliant. One of the funniest videos I have seen and must be saved for her wedding day !!
Thanks for all the comments. My sister didn't sing like this in rehearsal, my mum old her to sing up. This may not be the only video we have ;)
Awe sweet
I LOVE how much she is in it
So she's obedient. 10/10 would hire her for the next gig.
If there is a god somewhere I'm sure it can ear her

She is just adorable and I love her spirit. She will go far!!
This little girl is magic. Her fantastic enthusiasm makes up for her lack of musical ability.
As a one-time primary school teacher I have suffered through many Christmas and Summer concerts, trying to keep a straight face but this cracks me up every time. I love the little angel!
