    Issue with holding the end jack on the inside so as to tighten the nut on the outside. Limited tools here, can't hold the jack with pliers or needle nose on the inside, jack is too large and so is my hand to reach all the way back to the end block. I'll figure it out but it sure is a pain in the ass to get it snug. Nice little video you have here. I've installed a K&K Pure Mini a couple of times and had similar issues.

      The holes in the tip of the jack are so you can use a small allen wrench to stabilize while you turn the nut. I think i have another video where I use that technique but didn’t need to for this one.

    I just got a replacement element and it's the kind with a plastic bead on one side and the bare element on the other. Unlike yours here with the braid all the way along.
    Any idea which way is up for the plastic bead kind?

      I believe the bare element should be facing up and touching the saddle. You can send me a pic if you’d like so I know for sure what you’re talking about.

    Why different trims took off on each side on the saddle?

      Not sure I understand… Are you asking why i removed different amounts from the bass and treble side of the saddle?

    Does it have antifeedback?

    • @erikguitardesigner
      @erikguitardesigner  2 місяці тому

      I don't have a definite answer on that but I do know my clients still struggle with feedback with these so probably not. I don't use this personally so I don't have experience to pull from.

    can this be connected to a surface mounted Volume & Tone knob? like the J160-E

      I'm not sure... I'd have to play around with it but there's a possibility since there are controls. Personally I would look for a already built solution to that so you don't waste a bunch of time and money. But it could be a really cool learning experiment!

      @@erikguitardesigner Im determined to do it, it just makes so much sense to have the controls in the path of your hand as your playing, just like any electric guitar.

    You installed the volume control on the wrong side. It's more accessible toward the upper bout.
